She was raised in Biloxi, Mississippi but raised her family in Trenton, New Jersey. Audrie accepted Christ at an early age. She taught reading and writing for the Board of Education in Trenton, New Jersey for over twenty-five years retiring in 1995. She loved to sew, crochet, and sing in the church choir. Audrie worshipped with the New Hope Baptist Church family. She was a true child of God and was a faithful Christian to the end. Audrie was preceded in death by husbands Cornelius Mitchell, Fred Walker, and Nathaniel Harper; three sons, Karl Mitchell, Dwayne Mitchell, and Alan Mitchell; and three brothers, Gerald Williams, George Williams, and Charles Huddlestone.
