Sewing Instructions1. Sew (1) 1” x 5 ½” Fabric W strip to each side of (1) 5 ½” Fabric A square. Sew (1) 1” x 6 ½” Fabric W strip to the top and to the bottom of the Fabric A square to make (1) Unit 1 square (Fig. 1 ). Trim unit to measure 6” square. Repeat to make (28) Unit 1 squares total.

2. Sew (1) Fabric D-Template 1 triangle to the left side of (1) Fabric H-Template 2 triangle. Pay attention to the triangle orientations. Sew (1) Fabric D-Template 3 triangle to the right side of the Fabric H triangle to make (1) Unit 2 strip (Fig. 2). Pay attention to the triangle orientations. Repeat to make a second Unit 2 strip.

3. Sew (1) 2 ½” x 6” Fabric G strip to each side of (1) Unit 1 square. Sew (1) Unit 2 strip to the top of the Unit 1 square to make (1) Block One square (Fig. 3). Pay attention to the unit orientation. Repeat to make a second Block One square.

4. Repeat Steps 2-3 and refer to Figures 4-17 for fabric identification and placement to make (2) Block Two squares, (2) Block Three squares, (2) Block Four squares, (2) Block Five squares, (2) Block Six squares, (2) Block Seven squares, (2) Block Eight squares, (2) Block Nine squares, (2) Block Ten squares, (2) Block Eleven squares, (2) Block Twelve squares, (2) Block Thirteen squares, (1) Block Fourteen square and (1) Block Fifteen square.

5. Place (1) 1 ¾” Fabric D square on the left side of (1) 1 ¾” x 3” Fabric B strip, right sides together (Fig. 18). Sew across the diagonal of the square from the upper right corner to the lower left corner (Fig. 18). Flip open the triangle formed and press. Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle leaving a ¼” seam allowance (Fig. 19).

6. Place another 1 ¾” Fabric D square on the right side of the 1 ¾” x 3” Fabric B strip, right sides together (Fig. 20). Sew across the diagonal of the square from the upper left corner to the lower right corner (Fig. 20). Flip open the triangle formed and press. Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle leaving a ¼” seam allowance to make (1) Unit 3 strip (Fig. 21). Repeat to make (8) Unit 3 strips total.

7. Repeat Steps 5-6 and refer to Figure 22 for fabric identification and placement to make (8) Unit 4 strips.

8. Sew (1) Unit 3 strip to the top of (1) Unit 4 strip to make (1) Unit 5 square (Fig. 23). Pay attention to the unit orientation. Repeat to make (8) Unit 5 squares total.

9. Sew together (2) Unit 5 squares to make (1) Bottom Unit Strip. Pay attention to the unit orientations. Sew together (2) Unit 5 squares to make (1) Top Unit Strip. Pay attention to the unit orientations. Sew the Top Unit Strip to the top of the Bottom Unit Strip to make (1) Unit 6 square (Fig. 24). Repeat to make a second Unit 6 square.

10. Sew (1) ¾” x 5 ½” Fabric W strip to each side of (1) Unit 6 square. Sew (1) ¾” x 6” Fabric W strip to the top and to the bottom of the Unit 6 square to make (1) Unit 7 square (Fig. 25). Repeat to make a second Unit 7 square.

11. Repeat Steps 2-3 and refer to Figures 26-27 for fabric identification and placement to make (1) Block Sixteen and (1) Block Seventeen.

Quilt Top Assembly (Refer to the Quilt Layout while assembling.)12. Sew together (1) Block Sixteen square, (1) Block One square, (1) Block Two square, (1) Block Three square and (1) Block Four square to make Row One.

13. Sew together (1) Block Five square, (1) Block Six square, (1) Block Seven square, (1) Block Eight square and (1) Block Nine square to make Row Two. Repeat to make Row Five.

14. Sew together (1) Block Ten square, (1) Block Eleven square, (1) Block Twelve square, (1) Block Thirteen square and (1) Block Fourteen square to make Row Three.

15. Sew together (1) Block Fifteen square, (1) Block One square, (1) Block Two square, (1) Block Three square and (1) Block Four square to make Row Four.

16. Sew together (1) Block Ten square, (1) Block Eleven square, (1) Block Twelve square, (1) Block Thirteen square and (1) Block Seventeen square to make Row Six.

17. Sew together the (6) Rows, in numerical order, and (5) 1 ½” x 48” Fabric S strips, alternating them, to make the Center Block.

18. Sew (1) 2 ½” x 62 ½” Fabric U strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 2 ½” x 52” Fabric U strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block.

19. Sew (1) 5” x 66 ½” Fabric V strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 5” x 61” Fabric V strip to the bottom of the Center Block. Sew together (2) 5” x 19 ½” Fabric V strips and (1) 5” x 23” Fabric A strip, alternating them, to make (1) Top Border Strip. Sew the Top Border Strip to the top of the Center Block to make the quilt top. Pay attention to the orientation of the Top Border Strip.

20. Layer and quilt as desired.

21. Sew the (7) 2 ½” x WOF Fabric L strips together, end to end with 45-degree seams, to make the binding. Fold this long strip in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and press.

22. Bind as desired.
