Page 1 Term 2 Week 6 Monday 31st August 2009 Term 4 Week 6 Monday 23rd November 2009 Principal’s Message It is with great sorrow that I write to you in the newsletter. I am sure that you have heard of the tragic accident that claimed the life of Paul Davis Welsh (Bud) who was an ex-student at our school. Paul was a talented student who was a gifted athlete. He was greatly respected by both staff and pupils and will be fondly remembered . I am sure you will join with me in wishing Paul, Viv, Lateasha, Nakia Brandii and the rest of their family well during this very sad time. Survey—(Learning) We have included a survey on ‘learning’, that we would ask parents to complete and return. As part of our Annual School Report (A.S.R.) we evaluate an area of the curriculum and would greatly appreciate you giving up a couple of minutes of your time. Completed surveys can be returned to school with a child or posted back. We have only a little over three (3) weeks remaining this year and there are many activities occurring Intensive Swimming School, Great Aussie Bush Camp, Assemblies, Year Six Farewell (Disco), Year 6 and Kindergarten Transitions, Party Day and many more. I would encourage parents to support their children in following school rules, as attendance at some of these activities can be affected by ‘poor ratings’. Information and permission notes are often contained in the newsletter, so it is important that when they come home on Mondays with the eldest child in the family you carefully read the contents. There are also community based notes and information that often relate to you. These can be holiday activities and the like and would be fun and informative for your family. Have a good week.
