To celebrate 2017 International Education Week at Olympic College, the Office of
International Education & Study Abroad, and the Multicultural and Student pro-
grams proudly sponsored and organized the Annual Global Night. The event was an
extraordinary opportunity for attendants and team members to learn and appre-
ciate the culturally diverse community at OC, including traditional fashion show,
and cultural performances with songs, music, dance, and more. Students and staff
who come from various diverse backgrounds cooperated with each other to rep-
resent their own distinctive culture and provided us a wonderful show. We would
like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who came out to support the An-
nual Global Night. We appreciate the time, effort, and skills of the team mem-
bers. The student performing groups were excellent and the audience turnout
was great. Thank you very much to the host families who came and support
their homestay students. We are very grateful for every help and support that
we have received from the beginning. We would also like to thank all the de-
partments in Olympic College that was involved with the event. -Truc & Afiq

In this issue, we’ll be featuring some of the
mouth-watering breakfast in Malaysia!
Nasi lemak is a rice
dish cooked in coconut
milk and served with a
spicy paste called sam-
bal, peanuts, fried an-
chovies and eggs/fried chicken. Traditionally, it is
often served on banana leaf.
Roti canai is handmade flat
bread, served with curry or
dhal soup. It is really easy
to find roti canai in any
parts of Malaysia. It is often
eaten with hot milk tea as drink.
On December 1st, International Club held a bowling event at All
Stars Casino and Lanes in Silverdale. It was a fun session for us be-
cause finals was just around the corner. As Most of us wanted to
relieve the stress, we participated in the bowling event. Everyone
had fun especially those who scored strikes during the game. We
also had pizzas and soft drinks served. Some enjoyed the food
while some enjoyed the games. Most importantly, everyone en-
joyed spending time together. It was a memorable experience and I
hope more club members can enjoy the events in the future! -Afiq-
