Home renovations are both fun and chaotic for various reasons. Fun because it involves a lot of work to keep you busy for an entire month. Secondly, everybody at home will be more than glad to experience and enjoy the new interiors of the home or apartment when it is finally ready. However after the planning and designing bit is complete, and the workers move in, the situation can get very chaotic if your contractor has not planned things out properly.

After the walls have been torn down and all the desired modifications have been made, there is still one huge problem to take care of before the actual reconstruction work can begin - the renovation debris. Now this may seem like a huge pile of junk and lots of unwanted material, but there is a treasure hidden inside. Amongst the huge pile of junk lies metres and metres of insulated wire all of which if not recycled will end up in a landfill, simply because they are hidden from plain view. Copper wires contribute greatly to the production of new copper products adding value to copper recycling in Dubai. Other useful metals can also be found in the form of taps and other bathroom and kitchen fittings.

These fittings are normally made of brass; a metal that in the industry relies largely on the scrap business in Dubai for its raw material needs in manufacturing. As in the case of most metals, it is always better and more profitable to recycle than to obtain ores and create virgin metals from them – a longer and rather resource hungry process.

If one has more time at hand and is more of a DIYer, stripping off the insulation would help increase the cost of the wires at the scrap dealers in Dubai. This, apart from increasing the value of the scrap metal also allows for a quicker transition of the metal from its raw form into a new polished product; saving the environment in the bargain.

Such scrap metal be it ferrous or non-ferrous scrap metal, will eventually with the help of scrap metal recyclers in Dubai reach the manufacturers who will utilize them in making newer and quality products. As one can see from the above, every contribution counts which is why recycling should be practiced where ever possible; but should begin at home.
