Shel ter's Night In: A Walk

Did you know there are over 20,000

homeless people in Washington State?

And families with children make over 50%

of this population? Sometimes they are

not always "visible" to us. Everyone has a

story and some people need others to help

share their stories Take a journey with us

on a path that most of our homeless in

Monroe take. We wil l be meeting at the

Sky Valley Food Bank so you can see the

wonderful services they provide and even

pick out your meal for the night. Then we

will walk to the library as a lot of our

homeless community use this as a place to

get resources, use the computer or even

stay warm. After that we will walk to the

Cold Weather Shelt er. Finally, we will set

up our places to sleep and talk about what

we experienced and how we can share this

night with others. In the morning we will

have to leave at the same time as our

guests normally do, even if it raining, or

snowing - we can guarantee it is always

cold

experienced and tr y and raise some

money to be donated along wi th t heir
