The S.T.O.P. (Stop Throwing Out Pollutants) Program provides a safe method of disposal for hazardous household wastes and electronic waste.

E-waste may be brought to Old Bethpage Complex weekdays 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m; may be brought to Homeowners Cleanup Programs; or may be placed at the curb for sanitation pickup.

New York State Law requires all service stations that perform oil changes and major retailers that sell motor oil to accept up to five gallons per person per day of waste oil at no charge. Residents may also bring up to 1-1/2 gallons of used motor oil every 30 days to the following Town collection sites:

Motor Oil Disposal (You don’t have to store used motor oil

between S.T.O.P. collections)

Residents in the Town Recycling Program can now place all their recyclables, including cardboard and all mail, into one container - no sorting necessary!

Single Stream Recycling Reminder

The S.T.O.P. Program is partially funded with a grant from the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation.
