The requested appropriation for FY 2015 funding for the AANAPISI Part A is $3,062,000.

Planning for at least 10 new awards with a yearly budget of $300,000 for 5 years for a total $1.5 million.

The overall purpose of these programs is to provide grants and related assistance to AANAPISIs to enable such institutions to improve and expand their capacity to serve Asian Americans and Native Americans Pacific Islanders and low-income individuals.

All grant applicants for AANAPISI grant must have applied and received their FY2015 Designation of Eligibility.

Deadline for applying will probably be in January of FY 2015.

Applicants can only receive funding under one Title III Part A or Title V program.

Applicants can receive funding under a Title III Part A or Title V with a Title III Part F.

To be eligible for an AANAPISI grant, an institution must, among other requirements –- Be accredited or pre-accredited by a nationally recognized accrediting agency or association;- 10% Asian American or Native American Pacific Islander student enrollment.

- Have a high enrollment of needy students; and- Have Educational and General (E&G) expenditures per FTE equivalent undergraduate student that are low in comparison with the average E&G expenditures of similar institutions.

Applications must be submitted electronically using Grants.gov unless you qualify for an exception.
