16 Dear Parents and Care Givers, Welcome back to Term 4 at Gosnells Primary School, I trust everybody had a restful break and has returned full of enthusiasm and energy for the run into the end of the 2016 school year. Term 4 is traditionally very busy and this year promises to be no different, with a number of major events already planned. If you have any questions about the programs on offer at our school, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s classroom teacher or any member of the school administration team. Swimming Lessons commence for all students from Pre Primary to Year 6 on Monday 17 October. Given the climate we live in, water safety is an integral part of every child’s education and having the opportunity to learn this in a ‚wet‛ environment is considered ideal. Children who do not attend swimming lessons will be required to complete an alternate theoretical unit of work on water safety while their class are at the pool. For those families with entries in our prize draw for the Ray White McGinty Mystery Word Competition for third term, The raffle to select the lucky recipient of a reimbursement of 2016 Swimming Costs valued at $45 will be conducted at our assembly on Friday 21 October. The theme for this term’s hidden word is ‘West Australian Places’, with the prize being funding for your child’s 2017 Booklist! It is easy to play, simply collect the puzzle pieces throughout each newsletter, unjumble them to find the hidden word, then put your entry in at the end of term with all 4 words! Finally, planning for 2017 has commenced. In order to accurately predict our student enrolment numbers and subsequently our class structures for next year, we need to collect the most up to date information regarding student enrolments for 2017. If you know you will not be attending Gosnells PS in 2017, could you please notify the office as soon as possible so we can adjust our enrolment predictions? If you notify us that you will be enrolling at a new school in 2017, your child keeps their place at Gosnells until the new enrolment process is complete. However, it is more beneficial to our planning if you are able to let us know sooner rather than later of your intentions. Likewise, if you are aware of new students who are wishing to enrol at Gosnells for 2017, could you please encourage them to complete the enrolment process as soon as possible. P&C NEWS

Term 4 brings with it a new VIP car bay raffle winner. Congratulations to Erin G who has won the opportunity to park in the

P&C’s bay located next to the Child and Parent Centre in the car park off Clara Street. In fairness to the winner, we’d like to

remind other parents that the P&C car park is not to be used for the entirety of Term 4. Thank you for your cooperation.

This year’s Halloween Disco will be held on Friday 28th of October. Some of the P&C volunteers are making amazing

decorations and planning lots of spooky food! Ticket prices and pre-sale times will be listed on the P&C noticeboard soon.
