Painting idea…if you do not have watercolors or washable paints at home, markers or crayons will work too! 😊

Tape Resist painting: Use strips of blue painters tape or masking tape to cover the paper in certain areas, paint over the tape and the rest of the paper, let dry, carefully remove the tape, and enjoy!

**if you are using watercolor, you can sprinkle salt on top of wet watercolor and it will create a neat effect/reaction!

Shaving Cream Paper Marbling…time to get a little messy…maybe lay down a tablecloth or go outside 😊

These turn out beautifully and can be used for cards or can even be framed or hung as wall art…works best with thicker paper like construction paper or cardstock if you have it.

1. Spray shaving cream onto a foil lined baking dish, aluminum tray or similar pan.

2. Level out shaving cream with spatula.3. Squirt food coloring or acrylic paint onto surface of shaving cream.4. Swirl designs into your shaving cream.5. Lay paper down and pat it gently so all of paper is covered on

underside with shaving cream/paint.6. Gently pull off paper and lay down with shaving cream side up.7. Scrape off shaving cream with ruler and let dry.

I hope you all enjoyed these ideas I’ve compiled from various sources found online. I am available via email for questions and I would love to see pictures of your child’s creations. Don’t stress…this art at home is meant to be fun and a creative outlet. Don’t go out and buy anything, be resourceful with what you have.

Thank you,

Lauren Schaaf
