Do you have patients who have fallen more than once in the past year, or feel unsteady when they are walk-ing or climbing stairs? Falling is not a typical aspect of growing older. In fact, most falls are preventable. By making a few adjustments, your patients can reduce their chances of a fall.

Over 50% of falls occur within the home. Dimly lit rooms and loose area rugs are common factors in those incidents, so Horizon offers a household evalua-tion to help create the safest environment possible for your patients.

With our treatment plan, Horizon patients enjoy, on average, a 106% increase in dynamic balance with 90% of balance goals achieved and a 57% increase in static balance.

At Horizon Rehabilitation, our Safe Driving Program in conjunction with 123 Drive! Driving Academy will tune patient driving skills and get them safely back in the driver’s seat.

SAFE DRIVING BIG PROGRAM

The LSVT BIG program is designed for patients with Parkinson’s Disease. In work-ing with a certified LSVT BIG therapist, patients are instructed in a standardized treatment protocol comprised of a series of whole body exercises, gait training, and functional training. The goal of the program is to help patients move bigger and better in all that they do.

At Horizon, we address Pel-vic Floor Pain with manual care, muscle retraining, and relaxation therapy guided by our skilled and trained Women’s Health therapist in a private, relaxing atmo-sphere.

Treatment is targeted to help prevent further bone loss and fractures as well as improving pos-ture. In addition to exercises, our therapists use the research-proven Meeks Method. Additional tech-niques may also include massage, aquatic therapy, and manual care.
