Brandi plans on going to Southwest Georgia Technical College. She is going there to major in Cos- metology. Brandi has been a Pelham Hornet for eight years and maintains a 4.0 average. She was a cheerleader her sophomore and junior years at Pelham High. She says the memory she is going to always have about cheering is the stunts that she and her team did. She has been in Drama and FFA throughout high school. Brandi cur- rently works at Super Nova in Camilla. She has been working there for eight months. We wish Brandi con- tinued success in college. He has a sister in high school; her name is Brianna Edwards. He has completed two pathways in business and construction which is quite an accomplish- ment. steps! The visiting students were studying at various uni-

versities all over the state of Georgia, but still had

time to make a stop in Pelham to visit with PHS students.

This year’s Hornet Idol was held on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the Pelham High School Auditorium at 6:00PM. This year’s 1st place winner is Caroline Snellgrove. The 2nd and 3rd place winners are Lauren Massey and Yvetta Haywood. For the

second consecutive year, JaJuan Frazier is the winner of the People’s Choice award. Other contestants were Halliotte Bell, Christian Butler, Delanie Aday, Brianna Jones, Karley Fletcher, and Antonio Green, Jr. The show was profitable for the Junior Class Prom Committee, who also entertained the crowd with an ensemble of different dance moves to various song

genres. Mr. Dennis Hill served as Pelham’s own Ryan Seacrest, and the illustrious panel of judges were Mr. Michael Clap-per, Mrs. Dede Megahee, and Mr. Cameron Prince. Miss Josi Megahee did an excellent job putting the show together and appreciates all the hard work from the various people who helped her. PHS Hornet Idol was a huge success; if you missed it, be sure to make plans next year to be a part of this very special school and community event.

This week the tennis team played Baconton Charter,

and Courtney Hilliard had a great game! They won their first set and came close in their second and third sets. The

team also played Seminole County on Tuesday, April 3rd. They had a close game.

Kristen Whitfield and Shawnee Fenton won their matches. The

rest of the team was finishing up their matches, but were brought to an abrupt halt. A

Seminole County player was hit in the eye with a tennis racket and lost some of his vision, so the remainder of the
