ANNWN PARK LIPIZZANER STUDAnnwn Park Lipizzaner Stud prides itself on breeding quality true to breed archetype Lipizzaner horses with excellent minds, breed type ‘noblesse’, trademark Lipizzaner movement & trainability. The stud is home to the Elite Accredited Lipizzaner stallion, 257 Favory Pallavicina Merlin.

Merlin’s first foal, 514 Favory Lucca III, who is from our highly accredited mare 223 Lucca, was born September 2014. The quality of this colt is exceptional. We are expecting a full sibling in late 2015. Dr Jaromir Oulehla (former Director of the Spanish Riding School) will be evaluating Lipizzaner horses in Australia & New Zealand during November/December 2015 through the Australian Lipizzaner Registry Inc.

The stud takes the opportunity to have breeding stock accredited whenever possible. This allows us to learn from some of the world’s top experts within the breed & thus ensuring the continued strengthening our breeding program. ARNAGE WARMBLOOD STUDARNAGE Warmblood Stud stands the Hanoverian dressage stallion FIDERFÜRST by the Grand Prix and German Young Horse vice champion Fidertanz out of the Trakehner line of Friedensfürst who was also Grand Prix. FIDERFÜRST was awarded a Premium title at his Hanoverian Licensing. This award is only given to around 10 stallions each year out of approximately 700

stallions presented. He went on to do his 70 day performance test at Schlieckau in Germany, where he came 4th overall and for his big elastic trot, he scored the best of all the stallions with 8.5. He also got an 8.5 for character and 9 for rideability. Before being imported to Australia as a 4 year, he had wins and placings in Young Horse classes in Germany. He is now being trained and shown by Emma Flavelle, and together they are having great success. In 2014 he was awarded Queensland Novice Horse of the Year, Hanoverian Novice Horse of the Year and Newcomer Horse of the Year. He is now competing Elementary level and has already had scores to 76.5%. 2015 will see Fiderfürst competing Medium level.Recently at the Hanoverian Foal inspection, by the German classifier Hartmut Wilking, a filly foal by Fiderfürst received 9 for trot and a gold award and a colt foal by Fiderfürst 8.5 for trot and silver award. Both foals 8.5 general impression. Ellanbrae Park has imported three KWPN mares so far, with plans to bring over in late 2015 up to three more 3yo fillies that were purchased as yearlings. We also have a number of exceptional Australian bred mares who together with our imported mares form the foundation of our breeding program, much of which is being done via embryo transfer. Our mares and fillies were carefully selected for their outstanding damlines, as we believe that the mare line is so important in producing world class horses, but all too often ignored in favour of the current fashionable stallions. Character was as important as conformation and movement in selecting our foundation mares.

Ellanbrae Park breeds between 8-10 high quality foals every year. In addition, one or two quality smaller horses are produced each year aimed at providing our up and coming junior riders with quality competition horses.

We will not breed with stallions who are not licensed and performance tested by their relevant breed societies as we believe in the European philosophy of breeding stallions being independently evaluated and licensed.

Ellanbrae Park also has grand prix rider and coach, Gitte Donvig, and her team based on our property. Gitte takes horses in training and is available for lessons.

Dressage horse breeding in a nutshell: The large framed Bretton Woods inspires with his expression, rideability and outstanding pure gaits and he continues to bring new admirers under his spell. In 2011, he won the bronze medal at the World Championships for five-year old dressage horses. One year before, he won in a convincing way in the Netherlands, where he achieved a score of 10.0 for his rideability. Prior to that, he was placed first in his 50-day test of the KWPN. His former rider Emmelie Scholtens described him as “The best horse I have ever ridden”. Bretton Woods is now ridden by Matthias Alexander Rath, who is carefully preparing him for the highest level of the sport and the pair have achieved several top rankings at Prix St Georges level. Bretton Woods’ offspring are brilliant in type and, as expected, big movers. In 2013 he presented, for the first time, a large number of foals in Germany, with the vast majority being awarded premiums and achieving top prices at auctions. Bretton Woods’ dam, Annabel, produced, with the stallion Jazz, the licensed stallion Chagall and was for years one of the highest ranked mares in KWPN breeding. BLOOMFIELD FARMOur breeding program is the result of careful planning and choices, many years of experience, ongoing research, and a lot of love and care for our horses. Our Stud is our full time business and we are 100% dedicated and passionate about producing a variety of quality young horses, professionally raised and trained. Our imported Licensed Oldenburger Stallions, Fürst Love and Versace, along with the Elite Fiderstern are three different types of stallion, each with their own traits, qualities and genetics, specifically chosen to compliment a variety of different mares. The most notable influence to date that Bloomfield Farm has made on Australian Dressage and Warmblood Breeding (that we are so very proud of), is the legacy that has been left by Royal Hit. At this year’s DJWTS, there were 13 of his youngsters competing, including the 4YO Champion, SPH Renaissance and 6YO Reserve Champion, Saddle Up Romper Stomper (who won both rounds prior to guest rider’s score). Away from Young Horse classes, the Royal Hit progeny are really showing their talent, with horses scoring and regularly winning everything from Preliminary to Advanced. They also dominate in the Show Ring, and there are a large number having huge success as Eventers and Showjumpers. Fürst

Love youngsters are now 4YO’s and are proving themselves as exceptional riding horses, with the most superb trainable brains. Horse breakers, trainers and riders are all very complimentary when describing their Fürst Love youngster. A number of them qualified for DJWTS with scores over 8. We very much look forward to following these delightful horses as they progress through the levels of dressage. Versace, our imported Premium Licensed stallion, who was Reserve Champion at his Licensing, now has his first crop of foals on the ground. Absolutely incredible! There are no words to truly describe these sensational foals. They have the best characters you could ever dream of, captured inside (almost) perfectly conformed bodies, and topped off with top class movement. ACE Australian Champion Filly, and Victoria Champion Colt are amongst the achievements of his first crop of foals. Our group of broodmares comprises of an exceptional mix of our original and proven foundation mares along with daughters of these mares and a group of imported mares from proven mare families in Germany and Netherlands. Included in this group, a Don Davidoff mare and Blue Hors Zack mare out of the famous Mon Amour mare family (dam line of Furstenball). We are also proud owners of a Jazz/Ramiro Z mare, whose Licensed KWPN son, Fellini by Ampere,

was sold last year for 380,000 Euro (half share). Our youngsters are purchased by, and for, various levels of rider, from Novice right through to professional FEI riders. We would like to thank these clients for their support and choice in buying a Bloomfield youngster, and wish you much success in the future. Most of our breeding is done with frozen semen from Europe, with an emphasis on stallions who have proven themselves in the sport, and/or with offspring proving themselves in sport, preferably at Grand Prix. We regularly visit Europe to see both the stallions we are using and their offspring in the flesh. We will not breed with stallions who are not licensed and performance tested by their relevant breed societies as we believe in the European philosophy of breeding stallions being independently evaluated to prove their worth.

Furstenball has been a great sire for us, and we have two young sons of his this coming season: Fursten-Look from Paul Schockemöhle International (PSI) out of a Londonderry damline, and Fürst Belissaro from the Hanoverian State Stud Celle (Celle) from a Belissimo M damline. Fursten-Look was winner of the Oldenburg saddle licensing and stallion performance test winner 2014. Described as having paces of ‘extreme quality’ with exquisite rideability, with scores of 9.41 in dressage, he was clearly the champion of this discipline. Fürst Belissaro is described like this: “When he starts moving he starts to shine, with an actively working hindquarter this dressage stallion knows how to please in three basic gaits.” He

moves with elasticity, freedom from the shoulder, a perfect walk, and uphill canter, scoring 9 for character. Furstenball is one of our most popular sires and he is clearly a breeding phenomenon. His progeny have brought him into the top group of the FN breeding value estimation with 170 points. Celle has two other new sires, Buckingham (Bordeaux x Rousseau) and Burlington 11 (Breitling W x Rohdiamant). Buckingham was the best dressage horse of his performance test with a breeding value of 154, and a 9.5 for rideability. Burlington 11 is very light-footed with ‘grandiose impulsion’. Breitling W and

Bordeaux are two very popular sires of the highest distinction. Breitling W (Bismarck x Maat 1), who was Hanoverian of the Year 2014, himself a Grand Prix winner, is also described as a breeding phenomenon. He is a producer of top horses with a breeding value score for dressage of 165. Bordeaux (United x Gribaldi), is also amongst the top of Germany’s dressage sires, with a FN breeding value estimation of 164 points and is a genetic rarity. Bred from one of the best dam lines in the world, he has United, Krack C, Partout, Gribaldi, and Donnerhall combined in his pedigree. Danicano (Dancier x Rotspon) performed exceedingly well last season with a fantastic strike rate. This charming, elegant stallion with three excellent paces and exemplary rideability is very much a superior sire, with his first progeny in Germany achieving several premium foals. Celle has Viscount (Valentino x Acorado) who set himself apart from the rest from the beginning with an outstanding conformation, excellent walk, swinging trot, consistently uphill canter and flawless character. His first foals have caused a stir in Germany and Australia. He is a very valuable dual disciplined stallion. We must mention Lissaro van de Helle also, in the top ten of the best of breeding sires. PSI have their new stallion Top Gear (Totilas x Don Frederico) as well as Totilas, described as the best dressage horse of all time, and Vilancio (Vitalis x Lancet), a supple, balanced, long-legged stallion with loads of potential. OAKFORD EQUINE HOSPITALAn integral part of the breeding programme at Oakford Equine Hospital has always been to breed the elite performance horse, or to put it simply, breed the best to the best. OEH is once again on track this year with OEH For Chili, full brother to Fresh Chili, presented at the 2015 HHSA Assessment Tour and receiving the coveted award of Champion Foal on Tour.

This chestnut colt is by Fürst Romancier out of St.Pr.St. Red Hot Chili (imp), (Rotspon/Calypso II/Freiherr), member of the Herwart von der Decken champion mare family 2007 and 2009 in Verden. Classifiers for this years tour were Hartmut Wilking of the Hannoveraner Verband, along with HHSA classifier, Kevin Lewis. They gave top scores to the colt who showed ‘superior engagement and the most fluid movement.’ The success did not stop there, with OEH F1 the half brother to OEH For Chili, a black colt by Furstenball, receiving a top 10 award.

St. Pr. St Red Hot Chili has proven herself in the German show ring and has produced top competitive offspring. In 2013, Fresh Chili by Fürst Romancier won the bronze medal at the Bundeschampionate and St. Pr. St Bell Pepper by Bequia received the 1c prize at the Herwart von der Decken show. Red Hot Chili’s half brothers are the licensed stallions Lesodoro and Leon d’Or (Londonderry / Calypso II) and her full sister St. Pr. St. Red Chili is dam of the black Hanoverian stallion Hampton.

Joining St. Pr. St Red Hot Chili in the elite band of mares resident at OEH, is St.Pr. A. Helene (Hochadel/Londonderry), and resident in Germany, StPrSt Duchess (Don Marco/Lanthan) and St.Pr.St. Bell Pepper (Bequia/Rotspon). All mares have outstanding accolades, temperament, movement and conformation, as does all the progeny bred at OEH.

OEH For Chili shows great promise for the future but he is not alone! PONDEROSA STUD IS situated on the cusp of the Barossa Valley in South Australia, where the owners Rob and Cheryl Hatswell have bred some extra special horses with their main stallion, Lontano who lives up to the breeding goal: ‘when temperament is everything, with no compromise on conformation and movement.’ Their stock have suited the FEI competitors as well as the Para riders and Amateur riders. Some of the progeny that have performed very well are Ponderosa Stud Lucarno, with Lizzie Sobecki, who was the 1st Reserve Para-Olympic combination for London. This duo competed in open competition to FEI level Dressage. Other fabulous moving FEI Dressage Horses sired by Lontano

include the stunning black gelding, Lyrical, owned and ridden by Anne Smith who has competed at Grand Prix and Ponderosa Stud Lucious, who is not only competing at FEI Level Dressage with Cheryl but has perfomed equally as well in the Show Hunter ring taking home Supreme Awards. Ruth Schneeberger rides a very special mare, Ponderosa Stud Royal Dancer, who has achieved the outstanding feat of winning the title, Equestrian South Australia Dressge Horse of the Year three years in a row. Dancer is on the National Futures Squad, and has attained three scores of over 70% in Medium level Dressage which qualifies them for the Equestrian Australia Dressage Medal for outstanding results. This duo have won every Championship from Preliminary to Advanced and will be competing FEI this year. The breeding of this horse has been duplicated and the Stud has a full sister, rising 3 year old and a full brother, rising 2 year old which are on offer for sale to competition homes. They also have a stunning black mare, who is a half sister that has just been started under saddle, Ponderosa Stud First Lady, who will turn some heads with her flashy looks and movement. Rob & Cheryl traveled to Germany to add to their breeding station and have secured

top Warmblood Bloodlines to come to Australia, with the Hanoverian Stallion Christos, with bloodlines of Christ - Revan – Rubinstein - Inschallah AA. Christos is a Bay stallion by the Hanoverian Second Reserve Champion Stallion Christ who has produced nine Licensed sons so far along with premium foals and show winners. He made his debut in the FN’s predicted breeding value statistics in dressage with 130 points and an above average result in jumping. Chris Hector has seen the Oldenburg 1st Reserve Champion Stallion, Revan under saddle with Lisa Wilcox and again with Kyra Kirkland where he competed Inter 1. Revan was by the sire of the century, Rubinstein being one of the top dressage sires for years. Inschallah is the Oldenburg’s foundation sire where he became the most important sire next to Furioso II at the famous Vorwerk Stallion station in Cappeln. Inschallah has sired Olympic medal winning dressage horses, over 34 fully approved sons, 83 premium mares. Ponderosa Stud is certainly worth a vist when you are in South Australia. Their 30 years of experience with breeding Warmblood Performance Horses has led them to not breed quality, but a small band of quality horses. Andrea Beatty is internationally famous as the breeder of the record setting PSI auction star, SPH Dante, sold to the Russian couple, Elena and Sergej Knyaginichev for €2,800,000, but Dante was no accident, he was the product of a well-thought out breeding program stretching back several generations. Andrea imported Dante’s dam, Donner Carina to Australia as a two-year-old, and Dante is the son of another PSI export, Welfanadel. Dante was produced by Andrea’s trainers, Matthew Dowsley

and Rodney Martin, and won at DJWTS at the age of four, five and six – while his dam, Donner Carina was the Dressage Champion of Champions at DJWTS in 2005 and 2006. Interviewed by Ute Raabe for the DJWTS program, Andrea talked of her childhood obsession: “I grew up in Adelaide. My mum is originally from a family of Tasmanian apple farmers. I had always been obsessed with horses. I had the odd riding lesson and used to spend all my time with horse books and magazines. When I was 12 I got my first horse after much heated debate between my parents. I kept Candy until she died at 32. After I finished Uni I came to Sydney to work and earn some good money so I could buy a good horse.”

Andrea had some lessons with dressage trainer, Judy Dierks, and with her help, purchased Donna Carina. It was also at the Dierks Stables that she saw Welfenadel: “He is one of the great unsung heroes in Australia, so trainable and gorgeous. I want to breed horses that are really beautiful, with nice long legs,

but compact, so they are easy for ladies to ride. They also have to be the kind of horse that you can tie up by the float all day or bring into the kitchen. There are only so many professional riders that can ride the naughty ones. I try to breed gentle, lovely horses. That’s why I only breed a few every year. So that I can give them lots of handling and training on the ground. Temperament is the absolute key. I breed with proven performance horses and stallions that have competed to the highest level or have shown the potential. Now with breeding in Australia, you can get yourself some nice German mares and we can all get frozen semen from Germany, but you have to pick the right stallion.”

“This year I am using Bordeaux, Fürst Romancier, San Amour and Don De Sandro. He is another little unsung hero in Australia, great bloodlines and a beautiful horse. The Sunday after I got back from Germany, Donner Carina just had another foal, a black colt by Ampère. There I was, crying over losing Dante, and then we got this little guy – a gift from heaven.”

Gestüt Sprehe is one of the leading studs in Oldenburg, and last year the stud was once again successful and celebrated many successes and highlights, in both sport and breeding. Kinnordy Rilke is a quality son of the imported stallion River Dance out of Elite Premium Hanoverian mare Kinnordy Gala (Graf Landau imp/dec x Winterkoenig imp/dec). Rilke is just stepping out into the competitive world of carriage driving in dressage and combined driving. This is his first year in harness and he wins fans wherever he goes. He was 2014 Supreme Champion Warmblood at Adelaide Royal in a big field of IFS and imported horses and in 2015 was the winner of the Led Studbook Stallion 6 -12 years on the AWHA Assessment Tour. The classifiers commented on his exceptional attitude and this he passes on to his progeny who are trainable, inquisitive and people oriented. Rilke was also proud to be involved in the wedding of some of our good friends and he was impeccably behaved both on the road to the venue and at the wedding where he waited patiently throughout the ceremony. We welcome visitors to view Rilke at home

or at shows and we have two weanlings available for purchase this year, both registered AWHA. Our associate sire is the wonderful gentleman, River Dance (imp) who has proven himself as a sire and a performer at FEI level dressage. His son Remmington owned and ridden by Sue Hearn has been campaigning successfully at Grand Prix level and has earned positive comments for his evident trainability and temperament. With a young family of four children we simply cannot have stallions that are hard to handle or less than trustworthy to have around. The stallions are a pleasure to live with and they love the children and the entertainment they provide. Kinnordy Rilke and River Dance (imp) are available by live cover and we pride ourselves on looking after our mare owners and getting a healthy foal on the ground. A special 10% discount applies to bookings made and paid for by the 30th of June and additional discounts are offered.
