➢ NRCC mandarin seedless - 4: Less Seed (2.62 seed

per fruit as compared to Nagpur mandarin (12-15

seeds/fruit). Fruits very palatable with 10-11% TSS and

0.6 to 0.75 % acidity and yield 25-30 tonne/ha.

➢ Cutter Valencia : Processable variety of sweet orange

with high juice content (45-50%), soft yellow coloured

segments, fruit weight 200-230g, December maturity &

can be retained on trees till February, yield 21-30 t/ha.

➢ Flame Grapefruit : Fruit colour very attractive with

Curcumin, a polyphenolic compound derived from turmeric, possesses diverse

pharmacologic effects including anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-proliferative

and anti-angiogenic activities. Phase I clinical trials have shown that curcumin is

safe even at high doses (12g/day) in humans but exhibit poor bioavailability. To

make it bio-available, nano-curcumin has been made using a simpler sonication

based protocol. The nano-curcumin thus developed has 2.5 fold increased

solubility in both water as well as in virgin coconut oil. This can be used as

potential enhanced bio-available formulation of Curcumin
