What is a B. Voc course ?

This is a 3 year degree course after Senior

secondary; offered by universities alongside

other undergraduate courses. In addition to

traditional UG courses like B.Sc., B.com., BA

or B.Tech., B.Voc curriculum is mapped with

job role descriptions as per National Skills

Qualification Framework (NSQF). B.Voc. is

approved degree course by UGC and is

equivalent to any other UG course.

What is NSQF ?

National Skill Qualification Framework

(NSQF) is a competency - based

framework that organizes all qualifications

according to a series of levels of

knowledge, skills and aptitude. These levels,

graded from one to ten, are defined in

terms of learning outcomes which the

learner must possess regardless of

whether they are obtained through formal,

non-formal or informal learning.

A three year degree program offered by JRN Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University, Udaipur in

partnership with IL&FS Institute of Skills (IIS) where you learn job aligned skills for the

hospitality industry (60%) along with general education (40%) aligned with new B.Voc guidelines

of UGC.

The skill component is aligned with National occupational Standards (NOS) as per National Skill

Quali cation Framework (NSQF), a competency-based framework that organizes quali cation

according to a series of levels of knowledge, skills and aptitude.

I. A graduate degree from University recognized by UGC.

II. Four, NSQF based certificates from National Skill

Development Corporation (NSDC), Ministry of Skill

Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of

India and Tourism and Hospitality Skill Council of India

Course curriculum has been designed in consultation with experts of hospitality industry, senior

academicians of UGC and Tourism and Hospitality Skill Council of India (THSC). This course

curriculum has been approved by NSDC and THSC and is aligned with new B.Voc guidelines of

UGC. All skill subjects are aligned with National occupational Standards (NOS) based Qualification

packs (QP) of NSQF.

Course Curriculum

Earn while you Learn

Our methodology Our systematically designed selection tests on attitude and aspirations help in de ning your career

journey. These also assess your skill set requirements vis-à-vis industry requirements.

A blended training methodology comprising theory sessions and hands-on practical training in

industry simulated labs for creating a real life working experience helping you familiarize

yourselves with your future work place.

This programme offers you a unique opportunity to earn while

you learn though 20-22 months of paid On-Job-Training with

Inter Continental Hotels Group* and other hotels.

Break-up of a typical semester includes

Duration Mode of study

12-15 weeks Classroom (Theory + Practical)

10-16 weeks On-the-Job-Training (OJT)

2 weeks University & THSC Assessments

Out of 36 months of course duration,

you will spent almost half time in On-

the-Job-Training (OJT) in five star hotels

or equivalent restaurants and catering

organizations. In OJT, you will earn a

handsome amount of stipend with

facility of free food and accommodation

and joyful tips.

Team at Institute Institute is being managed by a team of young and

educated professionals who have hands on experience in

the sector of skill development with academic excellence.

Executive committee of the institute consist of

experienced senior staff members (dean and director

level) of the university and hospitality industry expert.

Faculty: You would learn from qualified,

experienced and trained faculty with 7 to 30 years of

industry and academic experience as per UGC, NSDC and

THSC norms. Guest lectures from faculty of prestigious

institutions and representatives of hospitality, catering,

travel and tourism industry. Field visits will also form part

of your sessions.

Through network of 100 + industry partners, IL&FS skills have widest outreach of placement in

hospitality and catering industry in India as well as abroad . More than 50,000 candidates have

been trained across 50+ IL&FS Institute of Skills across the country and placed with leading

brands of hospitality sector.

On-the-job-Training (OJT) placement Every student shall be placed in five star hotels or equivalent motel, quick service restaurants, food

joints, F&B chain, catering organization, etc.

Placement All successful students shall be offered placement by campus placement cell in five star hotels or

equivalent hospitality organizations with best industry remuneration across India. Students would

also have chance to be placed overseas in the same industry.

Management of the institute believes that extra ordinary students must get reward from the day

one in the institute. Hence, it has been decided to provide opportunity to get scholarships to

eligible aspirants up to 100% of training fee. Along with entrance test itself, you may get a chance to

win these scholarships. Here, scholarships would be given in form of discount on training fees.

Calculation of scholarship would be based upon cumulative score of entrance test, personal

interview and past academic records. Percentage of scholarship would be as follows:

Course fees has been decided in consultation with academicians and industry experts and is in

accordance with UGC and NSDC norms. It is being kept such as aspirant of any economical

background could afford and pay easily.

For the batch commencing from academic year 2017-18, fee structure per semester is Rs. 32,000

only. Thus, total course fee is Rs. 1,92,000 payable in six equal installments/ semesters.

University Examination fee and SSC Assessment fee will be applicable as per prevailing rules of

respective organizations.
