HOSPITALITY TEAM

Providing the Best Fire Protection for Your Guests On the surface, hotels appear to be straightforward from a fire and life safety perspective; however, the designs and renovations of hotels and other lodging facilities are getting more sophisticated as these facilities are integrated with larger complexes containing retail, entertainment and recreation components.

In addition to mixed-use design challenges, hotels and other places of lodging pose unique hazards due to the fact that guests will be sleeping and could be unaware of fire conditions, or could be unfamiliar with the egress routes available during an emergency.

Providing the Best Fire Protection for Your Guests JENSEN HUGHES experience with navigating the fire, life safety, and accessibility challenges inherent in hospitality and lodging facilities is the key to getting projects completed on time and on budget, and to providing an appropriate level of safety for years to come.

JENSEN HUGHES has experience solving complex fire protection challenges for hotels. Using state-of-the-art computer fire and egress modeling techniques, performance based design philosophies, and knowledge of the codes, our staff has provided distinctive and effective fire protection and code compliance solutions for these facilities.

THE GLOBAL CHALLENGE

Despite high-profile

projects designed by teams from around the world, there is still no universally adopted set of building standards recognized world-wide for the hospitality sector. The result is innumerable variations of fire safety codes, fire protection system design standards, and product testing standards.

The JENSEN HUGHES project team possesses the necessary expertise and demonstrated experience in the application of NFPA standards worldwide. We enable our international hospitality clients to meet aesthetic, functional, safety and cost- effectiveness goals.

We have provided general fire, life safety and security consulting services for Marriott International for over 10 years.
