According to the Reach Out and Read model, Dr. Marty Thomas and the nurses speak with parents about the importance of reading aloud and “prescribe” reading. At each regular checkup from 6 months through 5 years of age, children receive a new book to take home. The event is scheduled for Saturday February 26th 8:3010:00 am in the Founders Room of the American Heritage Building, Harding University. This is your chance to get involved and help prepare young children to learn to read and succeed in school! Sponsor a Table for only $100! All sponsors will receive two tickets, be listed on the event program and have table tent recognition on your table. Tables will be decorated as storybook characters spotlighting a particular book, and the Golden Ticket winner will receive the featured book as a take home prize.
