Directions: By MRT: Get off at Songjiang Nanjing Station (Exit 7), walk 7 minutes towards the Jianguo Elevated Expressway until reaching the hotel. Or get off at Nanjing East Road Station, walk 10 minutes on Sec 3 Nangjing E. Rd to the hotel.By Public Bus: Get off at Nanjing-Jianguo Intersection and walk 3 minutes until reaching the hotel.By Car: Zhongshan Freeway→ Exit the interchange at Jianguo N. Road→ exit Nanjing E. Road Gateway→ the hotel is near the intersection of Jianguo N. Rd and Nanjing E. Rd.
Site Accommodations:An Event/Attendee Service Center will be arranged for any event information inquiries. There will be a general meeting room where several presentations will be made during the event (see schedule on the next page). Tables, chairs, network access and 1 TV monitor are available in each private testing suite.
Event Parking: You may park your vehicle at the “Visitor Parking” spots in the Capital Hotel parking lot from basement 1 to basement 4.

Before You Arrive:
NEW UEFI SCT
UTWG has prepared the UEFI SCT v2.4B Release Candidate available at the Fall 2014 UEFI Plugfest posting page (password:UEFI1234). This SCT supports Shell 1.0 and 2.0 and removes the ECP dependency. Currently it supports x64 and IA32. ARM support will be available soon. Please test this SCT before, during and after the Taipei Plugfest and let UTWG know if any issues on or before Nov 20, 2014. The final release of the SCT 2.4B is expected in Q1’15.

This session, presented by the Vice President of The UEFI Forum, will provide a review of the current UEFI specifications, activities of the Forum’s working groups and insight to the organization’s current and future initiatives.
10/14 Intel Brian RichardsonDifferent Deployment Models for UEFI Firmware on Intel Platforms
Intel's firmware ecosystem has changed dramatically since the introduction of UEFI. This presentation reviews new methods for firmware deployment, from open source to configurable binaries.
10/15 PhoenixTechnologies Dick Wilkins The UEFI Security Response Team
This presentation is intended to inform the UEFI membership about the new UEFI Security Response Team (USRT), it motivations, processes and current status. Dick Wilkins of Phoenix Technologies, who chairs the team, will report on why and how the team was created. How it will do its job and the work that remains for the team. Specifically he will address the open issues of coordination of information on vulnerabilities between member companies, verifying the entire ecosystem is responding properly to suspected vulnerabilities, fix release coordination and negotiating disclosures with security researchers. The presentation is on behalf of the UEFI Forum but is supported by Phoenix Technologies, Ltd.
10/15 InsydeSoftware Kevin Davis Building A UEFI Security Test Strategy
UEFI systems are becoming a target for security researchers and malware authors. Your UEFI system may be the next target. The UEFI Forum is reacting with the USRT. Now, your company needs to build a security test strategy for your UEFI systems. In this presentation we review the available tools for UEFI system security testing and how to use them during UEFI system development.
10/16AMI Tony Lo Implementing a Bluetooth Stack on UEFI
As UEFI moves into smaller devices, a keyboard is not always available on the device. A solution to this is the vast number of Bluetooth based keyboards and mice on the market. The UEFI specification currently has no Bluetooth related support. This presentation will go over how a Bluetooth stack could be added within the UEFI framework.
10/16 ARM Mitch Ishihara UEFI ARM UpdateARM provides an update on UEFI including ACPI. Included is an update on the ARM economics numbers, ARM technology, current status, and future work ahead.

Lodging• If you plan to stay in your test suite for lodging purposes, please note that each test suite contains (1) one king size
bed. If this is not suitable for you or your party, you may consider booking a separate room in addition to your test suite from the Capital Hotel, or contact one of the nearby hotels below. Note: testing suites are reserved ONLY through the registration form and all testing suites will be located in the Capital Hotel.
• The following is a list of area hotels in ordered by their distance from the event. Please contact the hotels directly to reserve rooms lodging purposes.
Pre-Event Checklist:
Register & reserve your testing suite from the registration form by September 22nd to get the special event rate.
For attendees not reserving a testing suite, please register for the event by September 26th. If you are bringing a platform for testing, please remember to download and run the UEFI
Self Certification Test (SCT) before the event. If you are bringing a peripheral for testing, please remember to download and run the UEFI
SCT before the event. If you are shipping hardware to the event, plan for it to arrive on or before October 11th.
Please bring any necessary hardware, peripherals and cables needed to complete your tests. Remember to bring your business cards for event check-in.
