TRANSMITTING SENSATIONSIn recent years, there has been a rapprochement between the architecture and interior design industries, thanks in part to the search for new materials and elements. The main foundation for this rapprochement springs from an initial premise that dictates that design and architecture have to excite and become much more than a container, that spaces must be lived and felt, thinking as much about the container as the content and providing added value to projects in terms of architecture and interior design. Among all of these sensations, creativity plays an essential role, going one step further to adopt new solutions to old problems, meeting needs and providing functionality, creating a living, breathing project.

We have turned this issue into a runway for trends focusing on exclusive furnishings for the hotel industry with the latest in technology and design presented by the sector. The textiles, curtains, and linens used to embellish spaces also form part of this fashion show, creating atmospheres that feel like a second skin.

For this new issue, we have traveled the world, stopping throughout Europe and Asia. China captivated us by an immersive restaurant called the Jade Garden. Another stop took us into Germany, where the Überfluss hotel awaited us, blending its vanguard design with the city's history. Our stops in Europe also included Le Seven Hotel in Paris, which surprised us with its suspended beds. Italy was also a participant in this tour, putting on display the Akua restaurant on the shores of the sea, while Portugal received us in an antique palace from the eighteenth century that has been remodeled and broadened. In Spain, we visited the ultra-modern Hotel Ayre Oviedo and the glamorous Riscal, both in Asturias, and, of course, we stopped in Madrid as well, in the very heart of the city, where the Estado Puro restaurant awaited us under the command of chef Paco Roncero, who has created a tapas bar with a gypsy soul.

TRANSMITIR SENSACIONESEn los últimos tiempos se ha experimentado un acercamiento entre la industria de la arquitectura y el interiorismo gracias a la búsqueda de nuevos materiales y elementos. La base principal parte de una premisa inicial que dictamina que el diseño y la arquitectura tienen que emocionar y convertirse en algo mucho más que un contenedor, se tienen que vivir y sentir los espacios pensando tanto en el continente como en el conenido y otorgando un va-lor añadido a los proyectos en cuestión de arquitec-tura e interiorismo. Entre todas estas sensaciones la creatividad cumple un papel primordial, da un paso más allá para adoptar nuevas soluciones a lo ya conocido resolviendo necesidades y aportando funcionalidad a las consecuencias finales de un proyecto vivo y palpable.

Hemos convertido este número en una pasarela de tendencias en cuanto a exclusivas piezas de mobi-liario enfocadas al ámbito hotelero con las últimas propuestas presentadas por el sector. Los textiles, cortinas y lencería también forman parte de esta pasarela de diseño para embellecer los espacios y obtener atmósferas ansiosas de una segunda piel.

Para este número hemos dado la vuelta al mundo haciendo parada en variados destinos. China nos cautivó con un envolvente restaurante llamado Jardín de Jade. Otra parada fue Alemania don-de nos esperaba el hotel Überfluss cuyo diseño vanguardista convive con la historia de la ciudad. Entre otros destinos europeos el Le Seven Hotel de París nos sorprendió con sus camas suspendidas. Italia también ha participado en este recorrido con el restaurante Akua a orillas del mar, y el sur de Portugal nos acogió en un antiguo palacio del siglo XVIII remodelado y ampliado. En España hemos visitado el ultramoderno Hotel Ayre Oviedo y el gla-mouroso local Riscal ambos en Asturias, y... ¡cómo no! también hemos estado en Madrid, en pleno centro de la ciudad nos esperaba Estado Puro, bajo la batuta del chef Paco Roncero, un bar de tapas con un alma cañí muy renovada.

This design is the result of reclaiming the aesthetic pleasure perceived through both sight and touch, of an intense search for a means to awaken the user's emotions. Con una nueva estética, Waver incorpora materiales y principios de construcción procedentes de deportes practicados al aire libre que han servido como fuente de inspiración para su diseño con una gran comodidad gracias a su construcción sencilla desde el punto de vista técnico. Aunque el respaldo está fabricado sólo con una capa de tela, éste ofrece un cómodo perfil gracias a un corte preciso que apoya el cuerpo y permite una gran libertad de movimiento. El bastidor de acero tubular se ha conformado para ofrecer la flexibilidad de una base de oscilación libre.

With a new aesthetic, Waver incorporates materials and construction techniques that spring from the outdoor sports that have served as a source of inspiration for its design. Este gastrobar, es el segundo local de la capital madrileña que Paco Roncero ha inaugurado revolucionan-do el mundo de la tapa. Está inte-grado en el hotel NH Palacio de Tepa y mantiene el espíritu de su hermano mayor, situado en el hotel NH Paseo del Prado, pero con muchas noveda-des. Pollos asados al momento y con mimo artesano, una amplia gama de Gin Tonics y los nuevos ritmos del flamenco en absoluta síntesis con la decoración conforman un espacio moderno pero con alma cañí.

This gastrobar is the second es-tablishment that Paco Roncero has opened in the capital, Madrid, revolutionizing the world of tapas. It has been incorporated into the NH Palde Tepa Hotel and main-tains the spirit of its older brother, located in the NH Paseo del Prado Hotel, but with many innovations. Freshly prepared roasted chicken, made with care and expertise, a wide range of Gin & Tonics and the latest flamenco rhythms, in absolu-te synthesis with the modern décor, but with a Cañí soul.

A la entrada, una imponente ola de peinetas blancas, emblema de la casa, dan la bienvenida al comensal cubriendo como un tapiz las seis bóvedas originales del histórico Palacio de Tepa. Al fondo, diez mesas bajas que pueden convertirse en un privado y, presidiendo el espacio, la barra. Fiel sustento del público madrileño entre horas, ésta cobra especial protagonismo en Estado Puro Palacio de Tepa con una longitud de 14 metros de paneles retroilumidados completamente cubiertos por 1.000 muñecas flamencas, todas rojas menos una amarilla que el cliente puede jugar a encontrar mientras disfruta de sus tapas. Este es el singular escenario imaginado por los arquitectos James & Mau para envolver una oferta gastronómica tan diferente como cercana en la que las tapas de toda la vida, los escabechados o el clásico pollo asado se presentan como nunca antes las habíamos visto: con la mejor materia prima como base, servidas en lúdicas y sorprendentes composiciones y arropadas por una original vajilla de cerámica que simula los vasos y bolsas de plástico de los puestos callejeros del Madrid castizo. La oferta culinaria se completa con una selección de cócteles y con una variada oferta de Gin Tonics (más de 30 ginebras), combinado preferido del público español, que se pueden personalizar de 300 maneras distintas al gusto del cliente.

El ambiente del local lo completa la propuesta musical desarrollada por los arquitectos James&Mau en colaboración con DJ Floro, referente en la escena musical española. Jun-tos han creado un estilo propio, único de la casa y con nombre propio, Give it a Spanish Tinge, con el que pretenden ofrecer al visitante una experiencia sensorial global en la que música, decoración y gastronomía se dan la mano en perfecta armonía. El nuevo Estado Puro cuenta además con una terraza de 24 mesas, ubicada en plena Plaza del Ángel y con un original mobiliario acorde con la decoración interior.

At the entrance, a huge wave of white peinetas, the traditional Spanish ornamental haircombs, emblem of the house, greet the guests, covering the six original arches of the roof of the historic Palacio de Tepa like a tapestry. At the end, ten low tables that can become a private area; and presiding the area, the bar. Faithful server of the Madrilenian public between meals, it is particularly eye catching in Estado Puro Palacio de Tepa, measuring 14 meters in length, with lighted panels completely covered by 1,000 flamenco dolls, all of them red except one yellow one which the customers can amuse themselves finding while they enjoy their tapas. This is the unique setting designed by the architects James & Mau to present a cuisine which is as different as it is familiar, with traditional tapas, sea foods or classic roasted chicken pre-sented as never before: the finest ingredients, served in playful and strikingly origi-nal compositions and with original ceramic tableware which simulates the plastic cups and bags from the street stalls of the traditional area of Madrid castizo. The culinary offerings are complemented by a selection of cocktails and a wide range of Gin & Tonics (more than 30 types of gin), the favorite mix of the Spanish, which can be personalized in 300 different ways to suit the customer.

The bar’s atmosphere is completed by the music, specially developed by architects James & Mau in collaboration with DJ Floro, a reference point in the Spanish music scene. Together they have created a unique style, unique to the establishment, with its own name Give it a Spanish Tinge, with which to offer the visitor an overall sen-sory experience in which music, decor and cuisine come together in perfect harmony. The new Estado Puro also has an outside seating area of 24 tables, in the Plaza del Angel, with original tables and chairs to match the interior decoration.

La Pousada de Estoi, a 10 km de Faro, forma parte de la nueva generación de establecimien-tos concebida por Pousadas de Portugal y surge de la rehabilitación de un antiguo palacio del siglo XVIII perteneciente al Vizconde de Estoi, realizada bajo la batuta del famoso arquitecto portugués Gonçalo Byrne.

En el interior del edificio principal, correspondiente al palacio original, se encuentran ubicadas todas las zonas comunes: el restaurante, el bar, la antigua capilla y tres salones, que ponen de manifiesto el cuidado puesto en su recuperación. En las antiguas caballerizas se encuentran las salas de reunión con capacidad para hasta 200 personas en platea y en el exterior hay una piscina y jardines estilo Versalles que ocupan parte de la finca de casi cuatro hectáreas. Anejo al palacio, se ha realizado una construcción de nueva planta y estilo minimalista donde se sitúan todas las habitaciones y la zona de Spa.

Las 45 habitaciones estándar, 15 superiores y 3 suites con las que cuenta la Pousada tienen balcones con vistas al jardín y una atmósfera acogedora gracias a su cuidado interiorismo para el que se han seleccionado modernas camas king size con cabeceros blancos, mullidas alfombras y piezas de iluminación y mobiliario de diseño escogidas por el arquitecto Gonçalo Byrne. En las zonas comunes se pueden contemplar los elementos originales del edificio, incluyendo los preciosos frescos de las paredes y el mobiliario antiguo, perfectamente combinado con butacas, sofás, sillas, mesas y lámparas de diseño funcional elegido tanto para el restauran-te como para los salones.

The Pousada de Estoi, 10 km from Faro, is part of the new generation of establishments designed for Pousadas de Portugal and is centered on the renovation of an eighteenth-cen-tury palace belonging to Viscount Estoi, carried out under the watchful eye of the famous Portuguese architect Gonçalo Byrne.

All the common areas are located inside the main building, that of the original palace: the restaurant, bar, the ancient chapel and three salons, which all demonstrate the care taken in the renovation. The meeting rooms, which hold up to 200 people, are located in the old stables and outside there is a swimming pool and a Versailles-style garden that occupies part of the estate of almost four acres. Annexed onto the palace, there is a new construction in a minimalist style where all the rooms and the Spa are located.

The 45 standard rooms, 15 superior rooms and 3 suites of the Pousada have balconies over-looking the garden and a cozy atmosphere thanks to their careful interior design, with modern king size beds with white headboards, soft rugs and designer lighting and furniture chosen by the architect Gonçalo Byrne. In the common areas you can see the building's original features, including the beautiful frescoed walls and antique furniture, perfectly combined with armchairs, sofas, seats, tables and specially designed lamps chosen for both the restaurant and the salons.

A dialog between modernism and classicism is established in this glamorous cocktail bar located in Oviedo. Its interior design emits an undeniable attractive power due to the light that it radiates, contributing to characterize the special ambience that flows beyond the walls to flood the street. Its contemporary aesthetics and the sensual pleasures participate of an unrivaled aesthetics experience. At Riscal the light dresses up and envelops a space of ethereal aspect, like a heavenly enclave on earth. This subtle metaphor arises from the Barbosa Space Projects study, which has been establishing and signing some of the most prestigious design milestones in and around Asturias for the past decade.

Este espacio surge de la intervención sobre un antiguo y característico local de modas, la remo-delación del local se lleva a cabo de manera casi total respetando el interesante trabajo en forja conscientes del potencial de este recurso y de su gran valor artístico, dándole una nueva visión mediante una imprimación blanca, que subraya el clasicismo de las formas y la rotundidad de los volúmenes en un entramado de ramas cuajado de pájaros en vuelo dentro de un razonado desórden, que aporta una acentuación en la racionalidad estricta del resto del local.

El blanco es el color principal ya que sirve de pantalla permeable al color que emiten unas lámparas RGB y además, se emplea como valor representativo de los conceptos celestiales y de pureza por un lado, y por el otro a la lujuria y el mal, propio de la cultura occidental. El carácter casi de santuario de los materiales que componen el local: pieles, mármol de Carrara, acero y los casi mil cristales de Swarovski que decoran las superficies de capitoné, no dejan lugar a dudas: el espacio es una ostentación del lujo y del placer. Para equipar la sala se han escogido piezas de renombradas firmas y diseñadores como las mesas Top Top de Kartell y las sillas Victoria Ghost y los taburetes Charles Ghost diseñados por Philippe Starck, también para Kartell. En cuanto a la iluminación, una lámpara de Cristal de Bohemia de fabricación artesanal, preside el espacio aéreo acompañada de un sis-tema de iluminación RGB de la firma Osram. El resto de elementos del espacio han sido diseñados y fabricados por Barbosa. El exquisito trabajo de interiorismo unido al conjunto de intenciones de la obra han proyectado una caja destinada a acoger otros valores más preciados, una clientela exclusiva y un servicio aún más refinado conformado a base de cócteles elaborados con la selección de los mejores productos del momento por los mejores profesionales del ramo.

En definitiva, un conjunto, un todo que define y otorga su razón de ser. Una experiencia sensorial total y absoluta, inigualable y envuelta en capitoné, tapizados exclusivos, materiales contempo-ráneos y soluciones con vistas al confort cubiertas por una luz prístina. Una experiencia que se ha convertido en un must de la vida social y del ocio ovetense.

This space arises thanks to the intervention upon an old-established and characteristic fashion sto-re. The refurbishment of the premises is almost complete, respecting the interesting forging work, conscious of the potential of this resource and of its great artistic value, giving it a new look with white primer, which highlights the classicism of the forms and the completeness of the volumes in a framework of branches and flying birds within a comprehensible disorder, accentuating the strict rationality of the rest of the premises.

White is the main color, serving as a screen to filter the color issued by some RGB lamps and, furthermore, as the representative value of the concepts related to heaven and purity on the one hand, and to lust and evil on the other, proper of the western culture. The almost sanctuary-like character of the materials used in the premises—skins, Carrara marble, steel—and the almost thousand Swarovski crystals that decorate the Capitonné surfaces leave no place for doubts: The space is an ostentation of luxury and pleasure. Pieces of renowned firms and designers have been chosen to equip the room itself, such as the Top Top tables by Kartell, the Victoria Ghost chairs, and the Charles Ghost stools designed by Philippe Starck, also for Kartell. As for lighting, a handcrafted Bohemian crystal lamp takes over the air space accompanied by an RGB lighting system by Osram. The rest of elements of the space have been designed and produced by Barbosa. The exquisite interior design job together with the assembly of intentions of the works have created a box destined to receive other much-prized values: an exclusive clientele and a still more refined service based on cocktails made with the selection of the best products of the moment chosen by the best professio-nals in the business.

All in all, it is an assembly, a whole that defines and grants its reason to be. It is a complete and absolute sensory experience, unrivaled and wrapped in Capitonné, exclusive upholsteries, contempo-rary materials, and solutions with comfort in mind, everything enveloped by a pristine light. This hotel in Oviedo has a cosmopolitan profile enhan-ced by a touch of magic that combines the structural beauty of the building, designed by Santiago Calatrava, with all the facilities necessary for its smooth functioning. 1, 2 y 3.- El enclave del hotel y su entorno originan una fachada formada por un muro cortina que deja entrever su atractivo interior. El equipo de decoradores determinó utilizar materiales nobles como acero, cristal y mármol, por sus superficies lisas y brillantes, que combinados con otras texturas consiguen crear en su interior una atmósfera de colores y reflejos que destaca por su gran luminosidad.El hall principal, a cota de calle, transporta al futuro con una composición de módulos rectos en charol blanco y negro, que recuerdan las teclas de un piano. Sobre éstos, aprovechando la doble altura del atrio, cuelga una lámpara de formas sinuosas como si el movimiento de la batuta del director de orquesta hubiera dejado un rastro aún visible. Unas líneas de candilejas retroiluminadas con leds RGB conducen hasta el mostrador de recepción.

The enclave of the hotel and its surroundings begin in a facade created by a curtain wall that reveals the attractive interior. The team of designers decided to use noble materials such as steel, crystal and marble because of their smooth surfaces which, combined with other textures, create a luminous interior atmosphere filled with colorful light-play. The main hall, at street level, takes the visitor into the future with a composition of straight modules in white and black lacquer, reminiscent of piano keys. From these modules, taking advantage of the double-heighted atrium, hangs a lamp whose sinuous form looks as though the director’s baton has just left a mark in the

4, 5 y 6.- La recepción está compuesta por cuatro mostradores blancos con formas abstractas, e iluminados por distintas técnicas que generan un ambiente casi de fondo marino. Estas piezas quedan acompañadas con grandes máscaras teatrales que arropan las imponentes columnas de mármol que se elevan hasta la segunda planta. A los lados de la recepción se sitúan espacios para el relax con sillones de formas envolventes que se complementan con una extraordinaria lámpara realizada con la legendaria tela Fortuny. El conjunto se remata con un juego de foseados en tres alturas con iluminación que conec-tan este espacio con la zona de recepción.Los distribuidores de habitaciones y pasillos se han diseñado con sofás y muebles ultramodernnos que se disponen delante de superficies vestidas con líneas asimétricas cruzadas entre sí.

The reception is composed of four white, abstract-shaped desks, lit by different techniques which ge-nerate an almost undersea atmosphere. These pieces are accompanied by large theatrical masks that hug the marble columns stretching up to the second floor. To both sides of the reception are spaces in which to relax with encircling sofas complemented by an extraordinary lamp upholstered in legendary Fortuny fabric. The suite is set off by a set of lighted coves at three different heights connecting this space to the reception area. The halls and passages leading to the rooms have been designed with ultramodern sofas and furniture placed on top of surfaces decorated with asymmetric interwoven lines.

7, 8 y 9.- El lounge-bar se convierte en una atalaya desde la que se dominan todas las zonas comunes. La barra central, de gran longitud, está realizada con resina moldeada con ondas en acabado blanco brillante. Este elemento actúa de principal foco de atención que divide los diferentes espacios creados en la zona, manteniendo las reglas de simetría que marca la arquitectura del edificio. Toda la zona emana un tratamiento rico en texturas que se dispone en tres áreas diferencia-das: una de sofás bajos orientada a grupos y al relax, otra de taburetes y llamativas mesas con estructura de hierro forjado destinada a reuniones informales, y una última frente a la barra con mesas altas revestidas de piel blanca, para un trato más íntimo y privado.

The lounge-bar is a vantage point over all the communal areas. The extremely long central bar is made from molded resin with waves finished in brilliant white laminate. This feature acts as the main focus of attention and divides the different spaces defined in the area, maintaining the rules of symmetry framing the archi-tecture of the building. The entire zone features rich use of textures set out in three different areas: one with low sofas designed for groups and relaxation, another of bar stools and striking wrought-iron tables for informal meetings and a last one in front of the bar with high tables covered in white skin for more intimate and private occasions.

of the building, which features extraordinary architectural forms, in a period of 90 days. To unify the structural beauty of the building with the

necessary facilities for its proper functioning. To combine decoration and functionality which put the traveler center stage in every aspect of the

design. | MAIN DECORATIVE FEATURES. The project is based around the perception of the senses, infusing stays with comfort and functionality via

simple solutions that unify spaces and architecture within a very contemporary aesthetic. The use of LED lighting throughout the complex creates

different atmospheres and establishes an intimate dialogue between the traveler and the sensation of freedom that the Asturias mountains provide.

The selection of bespoke pieces turn the hotel into a ‘living museum’ packed with emblematic features from the world of art and decoration.

10, 11 y 12.- A los lados de la entrada se encuentran dos grandes escaleras de mármol que conducen al restau-rante de eventos, por el lado derecho, y al restaurante de carta y buffet, por el izquierdo. En medio de ambas escaleras se desarrolla el lobby, que se distingue desde el hall principal. En la planta superior las líneas de candilejas retro-iluminadas con leds RGB recorren los techos con la fuerza de sus cortes abstractos. La interconexión entre ambas plantas se consigue de forma sencilla y de fácil lectura gracias al empleo de barandillas de cristal y elegantes lámparas de flecos que conectan visualmente los dos niveles.

At either side of the entrance are two large marble staircases leading to the event restaurant on the right side and the a la carte restaurant and buffet on the left. In between both staircases is the lobby, which can be reached via the main hall. On the upper floor rows of back-lit RBG LED lights run along the ceilings, providing a strong abstract shadow effect. Interaction between the two floors is achieved simply and easily thanks to the use of crystal banisters and elegant tassel lamps which visually connect the two levels.

Tanto la puerta de acceso como los suelos están realizados en madera de arce, al más puro estilo de la escuela Bauhaus de los años 70, inspiración que siguen también sillas y butacas repartidas por la estancia en diferentes colores. Destaca el cabecero que representa el concepto de la filosofía de Calatrava de 'el hombre como centro de la arquitectura', ya que sus for-mas responden a un ser humano tumbado con los brazos abiertos, y que incorpora iluminación LED RGB de tonalidades cambiantes en su perímetro. Este sistema permite interactuar con distintos colores según cada estado de ánimo. El diseño del escritorio, como el cabecero, está hecho en encapsulado blanco de alto brillo.Destacan las mesitas de noche de diseño cúbico con cortes retroiluminados que ori-ginan vistosos efectos de luces y reflejos.

In the rooms, white on white is the dominant theme. Both the access door and the floors are finished in maple in purist 70s Bauhaus style, an inspira-tion continued in the different colored chairs and armchairs placed through-out the space. A stand-out piece is the headboard representing Calatrava’s philosophical concept of ‘man at the center of architecture’, as it is shaped in the form of a reclining human being with its arms open and incorporates RGB lighting in changing tones around the edges. The design of the desk, like the headboard, is cased in bril-liant white laminate. Ubicado en el corazón de una nueva zona en Hangzhou (China) este singular restaurante ha sido dise-ñado por el estudio Pal Design Consultants, bajo el concepto de la “Sweet Osmanthus”, una flor con una agradable y deliciosa fragancia que simboliza la personalidad de unos interiores llenos de fantasía y de rincones mágicos, para disfrutar de experiencias gastronómicas inolvidables.

Located in the heart of a new area of Hangzhou (China), this singular restaurant was designed by the Pal Design Consultants studio, under the "Sweet Osmanthus" concept. This flower has a pleasant, delicious fragrance symbolizing the personality of interiors filled with fantasy and magical corners designed to create an unforgettable gastronomic experience.

1 y 2.- El seductor espacio se perfila con volúmenes ondeandes que ocupan los generosos interiores del establecimiento distorsionando la perspectiva visual, casi con un efecto óptico de 'ojo de pez', gracias a las formas bulbosas de los paramentos en color caldero. La iluminación dramática dirigida sobre estos planos causa un efecto más dramático sobre el resultado final. Para los pavimentos se ha escogido un brillante suelo de mármol negro veteado que le confiere un aire más suntuoso y elegante que origina un interesante juego de reflejos y brillos en el entorno.

The seductive space within is shaped by the undulating dimensions that occupy the generous interior of the establishment, distorting the visual perspective, almost creating an optical 'fish eye' effect, in part due to the bulbous copper-colored forms circling the room. Dramatic lighting directed on these forms creates a most dynamic final effect.The flooring is of brilliant streaked black marble, bringing a more sumptuous and elegant air to the restaurant and creating an interesting interplay of sparkles and reflections throughout the locale.

3 y 4.- La aplicación del diseño sobre el concepto del proyecto cumple un plan de disposición del espacio que se configura de manera irregular en forma de riñón para crear un sentido de la curiosidad (ver plano). Algunas zonas VIP de la sala principal se diseñan como cuevas excavadas en las montañas describiendo casi un cuento de hadas. Las ondulantes paredes se decoran con siluetas metálicas que representan la pequeña flor “Sweet Osmanthus” símbolo principal del restaurante que hace referencia a un ambiente joven y vivaz que atrape el interés de futuras clientelas.La disposición de ciertas mesas queda señalizada por lámparas de pantallas gigantes decoradas con cortinas metálicas de la firma KrisKaDecor en cuyas cadenas se dibujan siluetas de peces representando la riqueza oriental de pescado de una localidad con río. Las alfombras rojas que visten los suelos se distribuyen paralelas encajando con las medidas de las luminarias formando conjuntos individuales de mesas.

The application of design to the project concept creates a disposition of space that is confi-gured irregularly in the shape of a kidney, creating a sense of curiosity (see floor plan). Some VIP areas in the main room were designed as caves excavated from the mountains, creating a fairy-tale atmosphere. The undulating walls are decorated with metal silhouettes represen-ting the small "Sweet Osmanthus" flower, the restaurant's principal symbol, and referencing a youthful, vivacious ambiance that catches the interest of future clientele.The placement of certain tables is indicated by lamps created from giant screens decorated with metallic curtains by the KrisKaDecor firm, on whose chains silhouettes of fish are drawn, representing the oriental richness of fishing in a river area. The red rugs that cover the floors are laid parallel, fitting the measures of the surrounding luminaries and creating individual groups of tables.

El diseño de éstas luminarias recuerda al fenómeno de la aurora boreal gracias al brillo y a la luminiscencia que estás proporcionan, como si nacieran de un cielo nocturno para generar un ambiente onírico lleno de magia y fantasía.Algunas mesas circulares disponen de sobres giratorios para facilitar la distribución de los alimentos hacia todos los comensales que la ocupan. También cabe destacar el revestimiento de ciertos planos verticales con espejos para dupli-car la perspectiva de los espacios más estrechos.

Rooms with a more private air enjoy the presence of impressive and striking lamps creating silhouettes of the "Sweet Osmanthus" flower. The design of these lumina-ries recalls the phenomenon of the aurora boreal, providing a glow and lumines-cence that appear as if born out of a night sky, creating a dream world filled with magic and fantasy.Circular tables with revolving tops facilitate the distribution of the various foods served to all diners occupying the table.Various vertical planes have been covered by mirrors to enlarge the perspective of the narrowest areas.

inspired by the "Sweet Osmanthus" flower, a small, simple flower with

a delicious fragrance (represented in metal silhouettes decorating the

walls), to symbolize a dynamic and vivacious personality designed

to attract the interest of a youthful, vibrant audience and invite

7, 8 y 9.- El establecimiento cuenta con una zona de bodega instalada en un voluptuoso volumen individual que recuerda a una cueva abierta en un montaña, o en un bosque encantado gracias a las formas curvas que se abren y se cierran de manera muy orgánica dejando ver, de un modo parcial, los botelleros acristalados y su contenido. Algunas paredes y otros elementos se revisten con superficies cerámicas de brillos metálicos que atrapan seductores efectos de iluminación.Para rellenar las generosas dimensiones del establecimiento se crean falsos techos con focos encastrados y revestidos de lamas de madera para hacer más recogido y cálido el ambiente general. Éstos dibujan el recorrido del restaurante y generan foseados perime-trales donde se instala iluminación oculta para emanar una luz indirecta que dramatiza la enigmática atmósfera que se respira.

The establishment has a bar located in an individual area of voluptuous volume recalling an open cave in a mountain, or an enchanted forest, thanks to the curved forms that open and close very naturally, allowing the glass wine racks and their contents to be partially viewed. Some walls and other elements are covered by ceramic surfaces with a metallic shine, creating seductive lighting effects.To fill the generous dimensions of the establishment, false ceilings of wood slats with recessed spotlights were created to make the general ambiance warmer and more connected. These ceilings follow the restaurant's course and create recessed perimeter areas where hidden lighting is installed to create indirect lighting that dramatizes the enigmatic atmosphere breathed in throughout the establishment.

En el incomparable marco italiano del Puerto Turístico Mirabello en La Spezia, la em-presa italiana Costa Group firma la decoración de este espacio que consta del Akua y el bar HdueO. Situado entre el mar, los veleros y vistas sobre el Golfo de los Poetas, el restaurante ofrece una refinada selección gastronómica dentro de un ambiente intri-gante y sugestivo.

In the incomparable Italian setting of the Mirabello Tourist Port in La Spezia, the Italian company Costa Group have added their hallmark to the decoration of the area that constitutes Akua and the HdueO bar. Located between the sea, sailing boats and views over the Gulf of Poets, the restaurant offers a fine selection of food within an interesting and inspiring environment.

1 y 2.- El salón principal es un espacio abierto al exterior gracias al empleo de grandes ventalanes que llenan de luz y vistas incomparables el comedor. Un lugar único en el cual la buena mesa se mezcla con unos interiores diseñados con componentes de corte muy actual, creados en exclusiva para el local, y con los colores y el perfume del mar. Los ambientes se embelle-cen con el empleo de cerámicas artesanales que visten algunos planos verticales en puro contraste con el mobiliario escogido y una iluminación que ensalza las texturas y acabados de los elementos decorativos.

The main area opens to the exterior via the large windows which fill the dining room with light and breathtaking views. A unique space where good food blends with the colors and scent of the sea, and modern interiors, with fittings created exclusively for the establishment.The spaces are embellished with handmade ceramic tiles adorning the walls, which provide a vivid contrast to the furnishings, and lighting which highlights the textures and decorative features.

3 y 4.-Una elegante chimenea de diseño muy depurado de líneas geométricas, produce un claro contraste con el elemento del agua y crea un espacio de agregación y punto de reunión donde los clientes pueden disfrutar de momentos de relax, degustar excelentes vinos y charlar con tranquilidad. Las luminarias son elementos clave en la decoración del restaurante diseñadas exclusivamente para él por maestros artesanos. Algunas mesas destacan gracias a sus sobres diseñados con piezas cerámicas demostrando el exquisito trabajo de decoración que ha llevado a cabo el equipo de Costa Group.

An elegant designer fireplace with clean geometric lines produces a clear contrast with the element of water and creates a meeting point, where customers can relax, sample fine wines and chat amongst themselves. The lighting is a key element in the decoration of the restaurant, designed for it exclusively by master craftsmen. The tops of some of the tables are inlaid with ceramic tiles, demonstrating, once again, the exquisite decoration work carried out by the Costa Group team.

El joven chef Francesco Cutrì está al mando de la cocina especializada en platos de pescado, rigurosamente fresco y bien conservado en la vitrina refrigerada situada en el centro del local. La vitrina se apoya en un bloque de mármol iluminado por luces LED azul intenso que exhaltan la calidad del pescado.Otra de las características principales del restaurante es la excelente selección de vinos que habitan en otra vitrina refrigerada que viste una pared entera para ser exhibidos ante la clientela y mostrar la variedad de los exquisitos caldos de uva.

Blue is the most representative color of the sea. The young chef Francesco Cutri is in charge of the kitchen which specializes in fish dishes, rigorously fresh and kept in top condition in the refri-gerated display case in the center of the restaurant. The display case rests on a block of marble lit by intense blue LED lights which highlight the quality of the fish.Another salient feature of the restaurant is the excellent selection of wines kept in another refrigerated display case, which covers an entire wall so that customers can see, and admire, the variety of exquisite wines.

7, 8 y 9.-El bar bistrot HdueO es un quiosco ubicado al borde de la piscina, ideal para aperitivos y cócteles durante el día y la noche. La vida nocturna de este lugar se focaliza alrededor de la barra del bar. El bar es un bloque artístico donde se puede tomar algo en la barra o sentados en cómodos pufs, sillas o sillones que decoran el borde de la piscina. Se caracteriza por un ambiente agradable y elegante gracias a la música, a las decoraciones y a las luces que se reflejan en el espejo del agua.

The HdueO bistro bar is located by the side of the pool, ideal for aperitifs and cocktails during the day and night. The nightlife here is focused around the bar.The bar is an artistic space where you can have your drink at the bar or sit on the comfortable puffs, seats or armchairs that are scattered around the pool. It is characterized by a pleasant and elegant atmosphere due to the music, decorations and lights reflecting on the water.

Situado en una tranquila calle de la ciudad ale-mana de Bremen, se encuentra este sigular hotel miembro de Design HotelsTM, que incorpora a su histórico legado arquitectónico que conserva mu-ros de mampostería de 1184, un esquema con un enfoque muy elegante y contemporáneo.

Situated in a quiet street of the German city of Bremen, is this unique hotel member of Design HotelsTM, which it incorporates to its historic architectural legacy that keeps ma-sonry walls dated back to 1184, plan with a very elegant and contemporary approach.

1 y 2.- La zona de recepción se tiñe de un elegante tono negro en algunos paramentos y en el mostrador lacado. La rigidez de estas líneas geométricas contrasta con el color blanco y las curvas de la mítica silla La Chaise de Charles & Ray Eames, cuyo diseño data de 1948. El suelo de madera aporta la calidez necesaria en un entorno muy austero de color. Lámparas de inspiración industrial brillan para crear un resplandor suave y cálido que relaja a cual-quier visitante al entrar en el espacio. El bar del hotel respira la elegancia del resto del establecimiento con una paleta de colores en la que predomina el negro, superficies reflectantes y brillos metálicos para originar juegos de luces y reflejos que hacen más impactante el espacio.

The reception area is bathed in an elegant black tone in some of the vertical faces and in the lacquered counter. The rigidity of these geometric lines contrasts with the white color and the curves of the mythical La Chaise of Charles & Ray Eames chair, whose design dates back to 1948. The wooden floor brings the necessary warmth in a very austere environment of color. Lamps of industrial inspiration shine to create a warm and smooth brightness that relaxes any visitor upon entering the area. The bar of the hotel breathes the elegance of the rest of the building with a color palette dominated by black, reflective surfaces, and metallic shines to create a play of light and reflections that make the space even more stunning.

3, 4 y 5.-El restaurante Freudenhaus muestra una atmósfera elegante y relajada que tam-bién juega con el negro en la moqueta del suelo y las sillas Eiffel Tower de Charles Eames. El color negro se combina con lámparas esféricas y las mesas de acabado metálico. La neutralidad de esta composición se anima con vivos tonos rojos y amarillos de los servicios de mesa. Un fotomural en blanco y negro con iluminación indirecta cierra la pared frontal de esta zona. El hotel dispone de dos elegantes salas de reuniones, una ubicada en la primera planta y otra situada en la sexta planta con bar privado y lounge. Ambas disfrutan de vistas al río y cuentan con avanzadas instalaciones multimedia. Aquí color negro y el diseño contempo-ráneo y moderno sigue presente como en el resto del hotel con piezas de renombre como las Lounge Chair en piel de potro de Charles Eames.

The Freudenhaus restaurant presents an elegant and relaxed atmosphere that also plays with black on the floor carpet and the Eiffel Tower chairs by Charles Eames. Black is combi-ned with sphere-like lamps and the metallic-finish tables. The neutrality of this composition is livened up by the strong red and yellow tones of the table sets a picture mural in black and white with indirect lighting closes the front wall of this area. The hotel has two elegant conference rooms, one located on the first floor and another situated on the sixth floor with a private bar and lounge. Both offer views of the river and have state-of-the-art multimedia facilities. Once again, the black color and the modern and contemporary design are present as in the rest of the hotel with important pieces such as the Lounge Chair in colt skin by Charles Eames.

Iluminación tenue pero matizada para dar calidez a

soft-color palette with occasional details of color

(red, purple…) on a decoration combining black,

white, and metallic. Selection of mythical pieces

of important designers such as Charles Eames and

Tom Dixon. Soft lighting but harmonized to fill with

warmth the spaces where the dark tones reign.

6 y 7.-Los cimientos medievales de la muralla de la ciudad, descubiertos en la construcción del hotel, siguen siendo visibles en zonas como la escalera o el relajante spa, originando una interesante combinación con el carácter contemporáneo del interiorismo y un exhaustivo estudio de la iluminación para lograr un ambiente relajante y sosegado para disfrutar al máximo de las instalaciones. La piedra convive con un banco corrido de teselas de gresite.

The medieval foundation of the city walls, discovered during the construction of the hotel, are still visible in areas such as the stairs or the relaxing spa, originating an interesting combination with the contemporary character of the interior design and an careful study of lighting to achieve a calm and relaxing environment to enjoy all the areas fully. The stone is combined with a continuous bench in gresite tiles.

8, 9 y 10.-La paleta de colores apagados cobra vida con ocasionales estallidos de color como el rojo para aportar energía a los espacios. Algunas de las 51 habitaciones están dotadas con baños y duchas que se abren hacia las propias estancias. La suite cuenta con una cómoda bañera de hidromasaje con vistas al río Weser. Elementos tradicionales como los sofás Chesterfield son compensados con piezas de diseño de renombrados artistas como Charles Eames y Tom Dixon. Algunas paredes se cubren con fotomurales de gran tamaño que se intercalan con alfombras, asientos contemporáneos y una buena iluminación. En otras habitaciones el blanco se apodera del protagonismo de la decoración y se mezcla con alfombras y cortinajes en tonos arena.

The soft-color palette comes to life with occasional splashes of color such as red to fill the spaces with energy. Some of the 51 rooms have baths and showers that open into the rooms themselves. The suite has a comfortable whirlpool tub which overlooks the Weser River. Traditional elements such as the Chesterfield sofas are balanced with designer pieces by renowned artists such as Charles Eames and Tom Dixon. Some walls are covered with very large photo murals, interspersed with carpets, contemporary seats, and good lighting. Other rooms give prominence to white, which highlights the decoration and is mixed with carpets and curtains in sand tones.

More than a puzzle, it is a comprehensive modular program, closer to the modular furniture system than to upholstered furniture.
