Fall is in full swing and what a GREAT Fall Festival this year. Hadi was well represented by some 5 food booths and park-ing lots. All the efforts of nobles are appreciated as it helps not just bring money into our units and clubs but builds our name
in the community. I hope each and every one of you had a great time of fellowship working side by side with brothers. Thanks to all who turned out for the parade, we made up almost a quarter mile of the parade route. Joined by our bothers from Murat, it was a great day for showing how involved we are in the commu-nity! The One-Day class was a great success and we managed to bring in some new nobles following that class by holding a Cold Sands. Welcome to each and every one of the new members and their families. We build strong relationships by bringing these new members into our UCO’s so reach out and encourage them to join an area of interest. Don’t forget the Fall Ceremonial is November 2nd. Speaking of change, you can see that I’ve stepped in as Recorder for at least the re-mainder of the year as Ralph resigned to take better care of himself. I’m working somewhat full time for now but will cut that back to three days per week shortly as we streamline some business practices. Please bear with me as I try and learn my new responsibilities.Fraternally Yours,
Dale E. Thomas, Recorder

Arab Patrol
Drum & Bugle CorpDrum Corps Blasts Greetings from the Hadi Drum & Bugle Corps. Hope everyone is finally having a wonderful Fall season. As you read this, the Winter portion of the parade schedule is just beginning. The recent West Side Nut Club and Fall Ceremonial parades were a huge success. We were blessed to have such beautiful weather and access to a trailer. Let’s hope that the upcoming winter parades can be just as nice. We can look forward to getting into our winter uniforms for the upcoming Christmas parade on November 24th. Line- up is scheduled for 1:30 pm. Hope to see a good turnout for this upcom-ing event. The annual Hadi Shrine Circus is fast approach-ing. Again, thanks to all who came out and supported the Hadi ticket sales kick-off. Hope you’ve sold a bunch of circus tickets by now! The date to turn in your money and unsold tick-ets to the front office is Wednesday November 27th. I can’t stress this enough; Remember, our job is to man the front entrance gates at the Ford Center. Let’s all turn out to help make this
run smoothly. We are one of the first Shriners the patrons see, so we need to be as helpful and courteous as possible. Also, don’t forget that af-ter the Friday performance of the circus, the D&B will have our annual pizza party. Reservations will be made at the Roca-Bar on Kentucky Ave. for Friday November 29th . On a new note, next year’s D&B president is probably already thinking about collecting gifts for the up-coming East-West Shrine Football & Super Bowl Games. Let’s get together and show him how much we are willing to help out and support these great causes. The next meeting and practice will be held on Friday, November 8th . Upcoming events: Christmas parade Sunday, November 24th D&B circus worker party, Roca Bar, Friday, No-vember 29th and the D&B Christmas Party on Friday, December 13th. I hope to do this again next month and bring you the past and future happenings of your Hadi Drum and Bugle Corps.
With only this month and next left in the year, it would be great to go out with a BANG. As we near the end of 2019, we have a few more activi-ties and events that we need to carve out some time to support. Fall Ceremonial is November 2nd, followed by the Active Military Ticket Give-away on November11th, the Evansville Christ-mas Parade on November 17th, and last but not least, our own Hadi Shrine Circus November 28th through December 1st. October was a great month. thanks to all that were involved in this year’s Fall Festival. We had a really great year. An early thanks to President Gerald for all of his hard work, great fellowship and doing his part to continue the patrol’s great
reputation. All hands on deck for the Hadi Shrine Circus. Ushers are needed! I can’t wait to see all of the nobles/Patrolmen at the circus. As the year comes to a close, I have to say as a new noble to the Patrol, that it has been an hon-or to serve all. Not only have I learned the value in giving; I have been the recipient of so much from those who want to see each and every one of us succeed. PROUD TO BE A PATROLMAN!

Oriental Band Greetings from the Hadi Oriental Band! Well, the Fall Festival is over and what awesome weather we had for it. We were very short hand-ed on help from our unit but managed to get through the week thanks to help from the D&B and family and friends. A big thanks to the six people that paraded and to Rick Kennedy for driving. Don’t forget November 2nd is Fall Ceremoni-al and we are playing in the 1st section so let’s have a big turnout for the new nobles coming in. Sell, sell, sell those circus tickets because it will be here soon and we could use everyone’s help at the circus. Christmas parades are coming up so let’s at-tend practice and be sharp for the parades. Our participation helps recruit new members and entertains the crowd so let’s be ready to parade!
The November calendar is 2nd Fall Ceremonial, 12th OB business meeting and election of offi-cers, so your attendance is important. Following on the17th is the Evansville Christmas Parade and November 28 through December 1st is the 86th annual Hadi Shrine Circus. To all nobles we extend a hearty welcome. Stop by our oasis if you’re looking to join an ac-tive and fun unit. We meet every Tuesday eve-ning at 7pm. No musical talent needed. We ride in all parades and provide your uniform and mu-sical instrument. What more do you need? OB is the place to be. Support your Shrine and Red Fez and may your caravan travel safely across the hot sands. Randy Eades (just filling in for the wonderful scribe, Dennis K. Gentry)
