MITHILA ART AND CULTURE
Mithila is a traditional culture of Hindus. This culture is related with the Ramayan, a great holy book of hindu. Mithila
painting is the oldest painting method in which
Colour was made of wheat, flowers, grass, turmeric and other natural products. Mithila art is an output of the hard
labor done by a group of traditional maithili women. As started from the era of Ramayana( Satya Yug) these women
still continue the work of painting the walls with pictures depicting the different aspects of human life (you can find a
few examples of it in some special places of hotel itself.) These paintings are very much famous in Japan . Japan also
has a museum on the mithila art.

competition to select bridegroom ) lord Ram in an attempt to put string in it accidently broke it of whose a part fell in
earth and lies in dhanusha dham....
