THE PITTMAN HOTEL OPENING 2020 Total Rooms: 164 | Neighborhood: Deep EllumThe Pittman Hotel will be housed in the historic 1916 Knights of Pythias Building, the first commercial Dallas building built by and for African American professionals. Designed by William Sidney Pittman, Dallas’ first African American architect, the building was once an iconic mainstay of the Deep Ellum neighborhood and a cultural center for the community. THOMPSON DALLAS OPENING 2020Total Rooms: 218 | Neighborhood: DowntownThe Thompson is part of the revival of the First National Bank tower on Elm Street. Costing almost $450 million and led by award-winning Todd Interests of Dallas, it’s the city’s most extensive tower redevelopment to date. The historic building, vacant for a decade, is the last major Downtown building under redevelopment. MARRIOTT UPTOWN OPENING NOVEMBER 2020Total Rooms: 255 | Neighborhood: UptownThe Marriott Uptown will be exceptionally positioned for leisure and business travelers alike. CABANA HOTEL OPENING 2021 Total Rooms: 268 | Neighborhood: Design DistrictOriginally built in the 1960s and financed by prominent actress Doris Day, the landmark Cabana Motor Hotel is getting a $100 million renovation led by award-winning Merriam Anderson Architects. The restoration will add over 200 rooms, a rooftop lounge and a speakeasy, while preserving the hotel’s distinct architectural features. Renowned for hosting famous guests, from musicians like Jimi Hendrix and The Beatles to former U.S. president Richard Nixon, the Cabana Hotel adds allure to Dallas’ up-and-coming Design District.

JW MARRIOTT DALLAS OPENING 2022Total Rooms: 283 | Neighborhood: Dallas Arts DistrictMost broadly known for its retail stores, Sam Moon, Moon Group is developing its fourth hotel project in Downtown Dallas. The more than $125 million high-rise hotel will be the first JW Marriott Hotel in the Dallas area and is part of a more than $140 redevelopment of the Trammell Crow Center Tower. The 15-story hotel will include a rooftop pool, grand ballroom, spa and meeting spaces; however, its top attraction may be its proximity to Dallas’ renowned Arts District. The exteriors were designed to reflect the iconic architecture of the Dallas Arts District, and the interiors will feature contemporary art throughout from local artists and beyond.
