How to complete Room Selection

For current USI housing residents, room selection will be March 19-20, 2018. If you contract prior to March 19, you can select your space for the 2018-19

academic year. You will receive an appointment date and time via your myUSIemail.

Any current residents who do not participate in March room selection and have a housing contract will receive an appointment time for room selection.

Appointment times will be held June 4-15, 2018. You will receive an appointment date and time via your myUSI email.

Freshmen and students who are not current residents that have housing contracts will select space June 4-15, 2018. You will receive an appointment date

and time via your myUSI email.

Log onto your myUSIand select the red Housing Icon

Select this button to participate in room selection

Note that you will be able to select your own bed space as well as bed spaces for up to 3 roommates/suitemates. You will need the student ID number for each roommate/suitemate you wish to select a bed space for.

Click “next step”

Click the green + icon to add roommates/suitemates if applicable. You will be asked to enter their student ID number twice in order to confirm your selection

Click “next step”

Select what area you would like to live in. First semester new incoming Freshmen only buildings are yellow.

The green outline will show you what floors have bed spaces available.

Select which floor you would like to live on.

Rooms outlined in green are available. Green beds indicate bed spaces that are available for you to select. If a bed is red, that means someone has already chosen that bed space.

If you click on a red bed, it will show you the resident’s survey question answers from the application.

Click on the bed space you would like to live in

The bed space you selected will remain locked for 10 minutes after you select it. This will prevent other students from selecting that bed space while you are finishing the room selection process.

If you wish to change your bed space, click “release lock”

If you wish to keep the bed space you selected, click “finish”

Congratulations! You have completed the room selection process! You will receive an email confirmation via your myUSI

email address for the bed space you selected. If you added roommates/suitemates, they will also receive an email

notification and they will not need to complete the room selection process. If you have any questions, please call us at
