Attendance State law – you must attend school 5 days a week

during the 180 day school calendar. Missed week days are required to be made up on the

weekend. Mail an excuse from your doctor if you are ill, or your

doctor’s office can fax your excuse. If you know you will be absent outside of the

scheduled school breaks, your parent must mail a note with the dates you will be out. You will be required to make up the missed days on weekends or during the summer, in order to meet the attendance requirement.

Your parents will receive an email every day you are absent.

Page 58: How do you log into the Learning Management System? Go to our website at: Look in the top right hand corner

What is a Qualified Post? Attendance credit is given when you submit a

qualified post that represents at least 1 hour’s worth of work in each class.

If you submit a lesson and only spend 15 minutes, your teacher will mark it as an unqualified post and you will not receive attendance credit.

Some lessons are longer than others. If you work for 1-1.5 hours on a lesson and don’t finish, submit the work you completed and check the partial post box located under the submit box.

This will not use 1 of your 4 opportunities and will give you attendance credit for the day.

Page 59: How do you log into the Learning Management System? Go to our website at: Look in the top right hand corner

• Ask questions through the Teacher Message

• Submitting “I don’t get any of this” does not give you attendance credit and wastes 1 of your opportunities.

• Work for about 1 – 1½ hours in each course daily. • IF: you complete a revision in 15 minutes,

you are not done for the day. Work on another revision, or begin a new lesson.
