  1. 1. How does your media product represent particular socialgroups My magazine is a multi genre magazine but the cover artist on which i am focused on is an indie artist therefore this addition is trying to appeal to indie fans. The social class in which my magazine aims at is ABC1 as this is the social class in which almost every magazine in the industry appeals to due to the expense of music magazines.
  2. 2. The audience for my magazine is 16-30 year olds with a main focus on men whichis shown by the title chap however this does appeal to females also. The model Iused for my magazine is typical of the indie genre with my pictures focussing onhis body language for example the front cover shows him staring directly down thecamera with an emotionless face in order for him to connect with the audienceand show him as serious and mysterious very similar to this example of NoelGallagher.
  3. 3. My model as i mentioned portrayed his personality by the use of body languagebut I also combined this with costuming. To start as you can see in every picturehe is pulling serious poses but also his costuming shows him covered up whichgives the audience the sense that he doesnt give much away and has this hardexterior. Another key way in which i represented my artist is the Mise-en-scenearound him and his settings. He is predominantly shot outside in urban settingssuch as behind a cage to represent prison bars and in front of a council estatewhich you are more likely to see with an indie artist then in a country manor.
  4. 4. In my article and pictures as i have already mentioned my artist is portrayed in aserious manner as he has this persona so many indie artists have of being rebels. However i wanted my article to show the real person and that he isnt all bad so ibuilt the piece up with serious after serious picture then when the meat of the articlecame i gave him a light-hearted feel by showing him laughing across the wholedouble page.
