Welcome to the Fall Product Program! This interactive guide will help you learn about the Fall Product Program and introduce you to our mascot,

the Pygmy three-toed sloth!

Look for this symbol and complete the activities throughout the guide.

WHY PARTICIPATE? There are lots of great reasons to participate in the Fall Product Program:

• You can earn money to help your troop pay for activities and supplies throughout the year! Your troop earns:

→ $.75 per nut/chocolate items sold

→ $3.00 per Magazine sold

• Fabulous sloth themed rewards.

• Choose Dakota Dough! Dakota Dough is Girl Scout money that you can use in our retail services or to pay for events and membership.

• Find your customers before cookie season. Bonus: You can earn a special patch when you participate in both programs!

• It’s easy and fun!

Sloe Moe's adventure Contest

Sloe Moe is the 2020 mascot and she wants to go on an adventure with you! "Bravely Be You" and "Trust Your Strengths" as you venture through learning skills like goal-setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics.

Sloe Moe is a Pygmy three-toed sloth who lives off the coast of Panama. Her species is considered critically endangered due to habitat destruction and there are less than 100 Pygmy three-toed sloths left in the world!

Sloe Moe loves going on adventures and she wants to hear what adventures you've been on. One lucky Girl Scout will win a 5 foot tall stuffed Sloe Moe!

TO QUALIFY

1. Share a Girl Scout adventure by submitting your story AND picture of the adventure at gsdakotahorizons.org/fallprogram. Stories must be submitted by October 27, 2020.

- AND -

2. Receive 1 entry for every 10 products sold during the Fall Product Program.

It's that easy! Contest ends October 27 and winners will be drawn on November 10.

NUTS AND CHOCOLATEFifteen varieties of nuts and chocolate are available for girl delivery and an even larger selection is available online.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE?Before you can officially get started, you'll need to do two things:

1. Make sure your Girl Scout membership is renewed for the 2020-21 Girl Scout year.

2. Attend your troop’s Fall Parent Meeting to learn more about the program and how a parent can help.

DATES TO REMEMBERSeptember 21: You'll gain access to your online store where you can create your own Girl Scout Avatar and send emails to family and friends inviting them to make a purchase.

October 1: Ask your neighbors and friends to purchase their favorite nuts, chocolates and magazines.

October 27: This is the last day of the Fall Product Program. Be sure to take any last minute orders from family and friends.

November 23: You'll receive product around this date to deliver to everyone that placed an order. Be sure to thank them again for their order.

Pygmy three-toed sloths can extend their tongues 10 to 12 inches out of their mouths!

How far can you stick your tongue out of your mouth?

Sloe Moe eats leaves from the red mangrove trees in which she lives. She can stay up in the trees for as long as seven days!

Sloths are great swimmers and can hold their breath underwater for up to 40 minutes!

The average Pygmy three-toed sloth is 20 inches long and can weigh between 5.5 and 8 pounds. This is similar to the size of a human newborn baby!
