Reading: Romans 8:31-39A reading from the Letter of Paul to the Romans.

If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but handed him over for us all, how will he not also give us everything else

along with him?Who will bring a charge against God's chosen ones? It is God who acquits us. Who will condemn? It is Christ Jesus who died, rather, was raised, who

also is at the right hand of God, who indeed intercedes for us.What will separate us from the love of Christ? Will anguish, or distress, or

persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or the sword? As it is written: "For your sake we are being slain all the day; we are looked upon as sheep

to be slaughtered."No, in all these things we conquer overwhelmingly through him who loved

us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor present things, nor future things, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love

of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

This is the Word of the Lord.

Prayer

Almighty and everlasting God: Creator of the heavens and the earth; Sovereign Ruler of all that was, and is, and is to be. We adore you, for you

are altogether holy and perfect in every way, and we marvel at the brilliance of Your Glory.

From the rising of the sun, to the going down of the same, you manifest to us your love through the beauty of your creation. You send us reminders of your love through the splendour of nature, through the kindness of our fellow men, through the steady presence of the Holy Spirit in all things big

and small.Let me at least love you with all my heart and soul and mind and strength. And let my love be worthy of the name, showing itself by confidence, by

generosity, by sacrifice, acknowledging cheerfully that all your dispensations are best for me, counting no cost when I work for you,

giving up gladly what is dear to me when you so ask it, when it is for your service and to further the interests of your undying love. Dispose of me, O Lord, as you please; for from now on I am entirely yours. I offer you all that

I am and all that I have. I shall labour and suffer for your glory, for the salvation of others, and for my own unity with you forever.

Amen

The Steadfast LoveThe Steadfast Love

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases. His mercy never comes to an end.

They are new every morning, new every morning. Great is Thy faithfulness, O Lord.

Great is Thy faithfulness.

Ang pag-ibig Mo ay hindi nagmamaliw. Ang awa Mo ay walang kapantay.

Ito’y laging sariwa, bawa’t umaga katapatan Mo’y dakila. Tapat Ka’t dakila.

Reading: 1 Cor 3:11-17A reading from the Letter of Paul to the Corinthians.

Nobody can lay down any other foundation than the one which is there already, namely Jesus Christ.

On this foundation, different people may build in gold, silver, jewels, wood, hay or straw but each person's handiwork will be shown for

what it is. The Day which dawns in fire will make it clear and the fire itself will test the quality of each person's work.

The one whose work stands up to it will be given his wages; the one whose work is burnt down will suffer the loss of it, though he himself

will be saved; he will be saved as someone might expect to be saved from a fire.

Do you not realise that you are a temple of God with the Spirit of

God living in you?

If anybody should destroy the temple of God, God will destroy that person, because God's temple is holy; and you are that temple.

This is the Word of the Lord.

Page 8: “How much do You love me?”

Why should you love yourself? Think about this. You may not realize it, but it's 100% true.

1 At least 2 people in this world love you so much they would die for you.

2. At least 15 people in this world love you in some way.

3 A smile from you can bring happiness to anyone, even if they don't like you.

4. Every night, SOMEONE thinks about you before they go to sleep.

5. You mean the world to someone.

6. If not for you, someone may not be living.

7. You are special and unique.

Page 9: “How much do You love me?”

8. When you think you have no chance of getting what you want, you probably won't get it, but if you trust God to do what's best, and wait on His time, sooner or later, you will get it or something better.

9. When you make the biggest mistake ever, something good can still come from it.10 When you think the world has turned its back on you, take a look: you most likely turned your back on the world.

11. Someone that you don't even know exists loves you.

12 Always remember the compliments you received . Forget about the rude remarks.

13. Always tell someone how you feel about them; you will feel much better when they know and you'll both be happy14. If you have a great friend, take the time to let them know that they are great.

Prayer

Lord, create in me, a heart so tender, so loving, and full of faith, that it dissolves all doubt, worry, fear, hurt and pain. Let your

glory be manifested in me, through the healing of these afflictions, in every soul that I encounter. Let your brilliance and

magnificence illuminate dark alleys, filled with misery and despair.

Heavenly Father, bring comfort to those who mourn. Bring strength, in times of weakness; and perfect peace, to quiet life’s

storms. Then let your spirit rain upon me, and fill my cup to overflowing. I

desire a revelation of your majesty, and the fullness of your presence.

This I pray, in the precious name of Jesus.AMEN

Reading: 1John 4:11-21A reading from the First Letter of John.

Beloved, let us love one another, because love is of God; everyone who loves is begotten by God and knows God. Whoever is without

love does not know God, for God is love. In this way the love of God was revealed to us: God sent his only

Son into the world so that we might have life through him. In this is love: not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his

Son as expiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also must love one another. No one has ever seen God. Yet, if we love one another, God remains in us, and his love is brought to perfection in us. This is how we know that

we remain in him and he in us, that he has given us of his Spirit.

Page 18: “How much do You love me?”

Moreover, we have seen and testify that the Father sent his Son as savior of the world. Whoever acknowledges that Jesus is the

Son of God, God remains in him and he in God. We have come to know and to believe in the love God has for us. God is love, and

whoever remains in love remains in God and God in him. In this is love brought to perfection among us, that we have

confidence on the day of judgment because as he is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear because fear has to do with punishment, and so one who fears is

not yet perfect in love.We love because he first loved us. If anyone says, "I love God," but hates his brother, he is a liar; for whoever does not love a brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not

seen. This is the commandment we have from him: whoever loves God

must also love his brother.

This is the Word of the Lord.

Prayer

God of Love, I thank You for the people in my life who are easy to love. I thank You for my family and friends who

understand my actions, who support me in my decisions, and whose presence can lift the burden of a thorny day. Help me with those who are difficult to love. When they come at me with criticism and wild expectations, when

they ignore me or try to bend me to their will, let me recognize their flaws and their dangers. But then let me

remember your attitude toward them, and lead me to see them in the light of Your love.Amen.

ChorusInto Your hands, I commend my spirit oh Lord

Into Your hands, I entrust my lifeFor I must die if I should truly live

Into Your hands I commend my love

Oh God my God! Why have You gone from me    Far from my prayers far from my cry

To You I call and You never answer me    You send no comfort and I don't know why

You've been my guide since I was very young

You showed the way when I needed someone's hand    And now I'm lonely nobody's by my side

Stay near my Lord and be my friend

You showed me how much You really loved me When You bought me at the highest cost

That a man would give his life for a friendThere’s no higher sacrifice

Than a man would give his lifeYou have paid a precious price for me

You clothed me with righteousness and mercy And You crowned me with Your steadfast love
