How to add a First-Year Seminarto your Course Cart

Click the link in your Orientation page in MyUI for a list of First-Year Seminars.

Read through all the titles and note which ones sound interesting to you.

You’ll look up each First-Year Seminar in MyUI

for more information.Click Courses/Registration.

Enter the Course Subject (AFAM), Course Number (1000),

and and Section Number (0001)in the appropriate fields,

then click Search.

On the following screen, the First-Year Seminar you searched for will appear. Note essentialinformation, such as day/time,location, semester hours, and the location, semester hours, and the beginning/ending dates of the course (first-year seminars may begin and end on different times during the semester).

Click the blue link for the Course Description for much moreinformation about the seminainformation about the seminar.In this example, in addition to the course description, we see there is emphasis on discussion andresearch. If, after reading thedescription, you are interested in description, you are interested in the seminar, scroll to the bottom of the page.

Now click Add To Schedulerto put the seminar in yourCourse Cart!
