  • How to check FFID Usage logs

    A. Top-down approach (Used when checking from start of FFID process)

    - e.g. request number is known, and there is a need to check the usage log of FFID that was approved in the request

    a. Go to NWBC > Access Management tab > Access Request Administration > Search Requests

  • b. Click on Search to see all requests, or enter criteria first to filter the results (e.g. if there is a specific request

number to check, enter in Request Number)

    c. Click on a request and choose Audit Log to see the approval path, or Open to see the details:

    Request Number 4 is selected

Audit Log (to check who approved the request and when)

  • Detail view (to check reason for request, validity date, attachments, etc)

    d. As the request was approved, the requestor had access to a FFID. To check the usage, go to NWBC > Reports

and Analytics tab > Emergency Access Management Reports > Firefighter Log Summary Report:

  • e. The selection criteria is quite limited, and there is no inherent way to select logs by the request number.

It is possible however, through enforcement of SOP: firefighters have to enter the request number when

entering the reason code during FFID logon.

  • f. Click Run in foreground to populate the list, or enter a date first to filter (i.e. the validity of the FFID for request

number 4 is from 30.01.2013 to 30.01.2013, so the results can be filtered to that specific date)

    g. The list will show all the activities from that date and time (in this case, there was only 1 activity on 30.01.2013,

and it is linked to request 4). Each row in the table is exactly one FFID logon session.

    h. If the list has other entries for a particular date (see example below), further filtering is possible, click on Filter

on the upper right of the table.

Many entries for 16.01.2013, filter will need to be used

  • Using Filter, entries for Request 30 is found. Filters should be used in the format 'Request**'

    i. Once the entry/entries are found (it is possible that a request is linked to more than one FFID logon session),

click on Session Details on the right to see the actual usage (t-codes, table changes, etc)

  • B. Bottom-up approach (used when checking from end of FFID process)

    - e.g. when checking FFID usage log, there is a need to identify the approver of the request

    - screens are similar to top-down approach, only in reverse

    a. Go to NWBC > Reports and Analytics tab > Emergency Access Management Reports > Firefighter Log

    Summary Report

In this case, for the FFID session on 30.01.2013 at 17:33:37, we need to identify the approver. From here it is

known that the usage is linked to request 4.

    b. Once the request number is known, go to NWBC > Access Management tab > Access Request

    Administration > Search Requests

    c. Enter the request number (i.e. 4) and click Search

  • d. Click on Audit Log to see the approval path, or Open to view the request details (e.g. reason for request,

    validity requested, etc)
