India Development Foundation of Overseas Indians (IDF-OI) was set up by the Government of India in 2008 as a not-for-pro�t Trust to facilitate Overseas Indian philanthropy into social and development projects in India. The Trust is exempt from provisions of the Foreign Contributions Regulation Act (FCRA), 2010 of the Ministry of Home A�airs which enables IDF-OI to receive foreign contributions.

IDF-OI is administered by a Board of Trustees, chaired by Smt. Sushma Swaraj, Hon’ble Minister of External A�airs.

Main features of the Payment Gateway:

You can contribute as an individual, or a group ofindividuals or even through your respective IndianAssociations

You can either contribute to IDF-OI Pool Fund or to projects in your preferred State or Sector

Minimum contribution online for Pool Fund is US$ 100

IDF-OI does not recover any administrative cost fromcontributions received from Overseas Indians

Using Online Payment Gateway

During and after project implementation, the contributor will receive quarterly progress reports from project implementing agency regarding the impact made by the project; and feedback about actual site/bene�ciaries along with photographs/videos. The project implementation reports will also be posted on the IDF-OI portal. The reports will have the contacts of the State Government or the implementing agency should the donor wish to contact them directly

Contributors will receive quarterly accounts of actual Project expenditures from implementing agencies to ensure that the schedule of Project goals, the actual costs as compared with the original budget estimates, and IDF-OI Grant conditions are being met.

How We Work:

To ensure universal sanitation and put an end to open defecation by 2nd October, 2019 the Swachh Bharat Mission was launched on 2nd October, 2014. IDF-OI is o�ering projects related to construction of community toilets and solid waste management in several States in India.

National Mission for Clean Ganga aims to rejuvenate the river Ganga with a comprehensive approach to address the challenges posed to Ganga through four di�erent sectors, namely, of wastewater management, solid waste management, industrial pollution, and river front development. Overseas Indians can contribute to Clean Ganga Fund through IDF-OI.

IDF-OI’s present mandate is to promote the following projects for funding by Overseas Indians:

Mandate

Lead philanthropy by Overseas Indians into India and facilitate philanthropic partnerships.

Provide a list of credible institutions, projects and programmes to Overseas Indians. Function as a clearing house for all philanthropic related information in India.

Partner with States in India and encourage credible Indian philanthropic organisations.

Promote accountability and ‘good practices’ in Diaspora philanthropy.
