How to Create Best-Selling Designs for Your

T-Shirts, Coffee Mugs, and Ad Creatives

In this training, we will cover how to create best-selling designs for your t-shirts, coffee mugs,

and ad creatives.

In this training, you’ll learn:

– How to select a shirt design

– How to get design ideas from Facebook Search

– How to get design ideas from Facebook Groups

– How to find design ideas on Google

– Proven formula for proven designs

– How to create ads using Canva

– How to quickly remove background from your design image

Now that you’ve found your target audience, the next thing you need to do is decide on a design

to market to that audience. You can either pick a design from SunFrog.com or you can design

your own shirt. In this video, our focus will be making your own designs.

Make sure you’ve watched the previous video carefully because it shows how we found the

audience for which we’re going to create the design (or find the designs on SunFrog).

Finding an audience is a very important step that you must do before finding designs, because

you have to make sure you find a relevant and highly engaging audience to market to, otherwise

you’ll probably fail before you even begin.

Our target audience is “Shakeology,” which is a segment of the Beach Body audience. So the first

thing we need to do is find what people within this audience are passionate about.

There are different ways to do that. I’ll discuss a couple of methods here, but feel free to

research the niche you want to get into.

Find Design Ideas on Facebook:

The first thing you should do is broadly search for the core demographics you’re going after. I’m

targeting “Shakeology” (a smaller portion of Beach Body).

Go to Facebook.com and search for your desired niche; for example: “Beach Body.”

Now in the search results, you’ll see pages, groups, photos, and posts, etc. Here you can see

what other people are posting, what is engaging more people, and come up with design ideas.

Another thing you can do is look for design ideas in Facebook Groups. For example, in our case,

you can look inside groups related to “Fitness, Beach Body.” See what kind of content people are

posting in those groups. For example, look for cool quotes that you can put on a shirt design.

If you find videos in a group, watch the videos to see if you can find common sayings and quotes

to get ideas for your design.

Find Design Ideas on Google:

You can also use Google Images to find great shirt design ideas. Simply search for your niche

relevant quotes, and you’ll find plenty of quotes that you can use in your shirt designs.

GREAT TIP FOR PROVEN DESIGNS:

If you find any posts/images of someone wearing a shirt related to your niche, don’t be afraid to

go with the same design because that’s something already proven and tested that you can

market to your audience.

Once you decide on a design, you have to get it designed and uploaded to your SunFrog account.

In my case, you can see that I uploaded my design to SunFrog and created different types of

products using it (shown below).

How to Create Your Facebook Ads Using Canva:

After you upload your products in SunFrog, SunFrog will create images for your design. You can

simply use these product images in ad designs. But if you want to make your own custom ads,

you can make beautiful ads using Canva.com

(If you don’t know about Canva, it’s a free tool to create custom ad designs. We’ve covered Canva

in some other videos, so make sure to check them out.)

You can upload your design images to create beautiful ads that will look like this.

We’ll discuss the process again briefly here.

Login to your Canva.com account

Click “Social Media”

Social media has different templates for different sizes and it matches the Facebook post size.

Now on left side, you can upload your designs. Once uploaded, drag and drop your design to the

right to design your ad.

Note: You can see that I removed the background from my designs. It’s pretty simple to do this

and looks really great on ads. (Process explained in next step below.)

Simply drag and drop your image on Canva, change background, and add text however you like.

Facebook Ad Tip: Try to use less text because Facebook discourages using a lot of text in your ad

image.

So that is how I research design ideas and how I create my ads. By now, we have our audience,

our design, and our Facebook ad design created.

How to Remove Background from Your Image:

I use this tool to remove backgrounds from my design images.

It’s a four-step super simple process to remove background.

Step 1: Select and upload your image.

Step 2: Use the yellow tool to draw edge over the image.

Step 3: Mark the foreground part that you want to keep in green, and mark in red the area you

don’t want to keep.

Step 4: Click “Convert” button and you’ll have your design image with the background removed.

Now you can download this image, upload to Canva, and use however you like to create your

ads.
