My CC manager explained to me at the very first

day of my arrival that the school is located in a

disadvantaged area and I should not feel

disappointed at myself when the students are

not behaving in my class because they do this in

very class, and I can improve myself at dealing

with students' behavior problems by learning

from other teachers.

Hanban teacher programmeAs a Hanban volunteer teacher, you should prepare

to be independent, positive and flexible. To be

independent, you can sort out many things from

life and work. To be positive, you can overcome

loneliness and the long and cold winter in UK. To be

flexible, you can make your lesson fun and feel

easy to the new culture and environment. In a word,

A Hanban volunteer teacher programme will make

you a wonderful person.

Hanban teacher programmeI have learnt so much by working in the UK:

becoming braver, more independent, more

confident, and get to know more about myself and

others. Working in other countries could be difficult

at the beginning but through a quite long time, it

Hanban teacher programmeThis was the fourth year that Beths participated in

the Hanban teacher programme and we cannot

thank the UCL IOE Confucius Institute enough for

coordinating this excellent programme. Our

students have benefited immeasurably from having

our Hanban teacher, Lina Li, to help with their

Chinese learning and cultural knowledge.
