WHICH ROUTE TO CHOOSE? 1 : Learnership/Internship. This is done through a learning provider accredited by SSETA. In classroom training which is the most valuable and intensive training. 2 : RPL Recognition of Prior Learning. This is done through a learning provider accredited by SSETA. 3 : Exemption. (Through EAAB) This is based upon being over 60 years old or having appropriate degrees or diplomas.

WHICH QUALIFICATIONS WITH EAAB & SAQA (SSETA)? Further Education and Training Certificate Level 4 (NQF4) National Certificate in Real Estate Level 5 (NQF5).
W H O Q U A L I F I E S ? NQF4 entry is South African Matric with Mathematics. Those without SA Matric with Maths may complete Numeracy and/or Literacy portfolios by the RPL route.
NQF5 entry is having NQF4 certificate or having been registered as a Principal Estate Agent with the EAAB before July 2008.
EAAB REQUIREMENTS FOR INTERNS
REGISTERED FROM 2013 Registration with EAAB for one year. Mentorship for one year. Logbook and Portfolio of Evidence produced for the EAAB. PDE within two years of getting certificate.
