BEFORE YOU START PLANNING:

• Read the 2012 Rulebook– This is your complete guide to successful and safe fundraising for

THON 2012

• Read the Alternative Fundraiser Guidelines under Important Documents on THON.org

• Speak with your friendly liaisons for creative ideas and tips for success!

• Submit your fundraiser request about a month before the date of your fundraiser– All AltFunds submitted less than two weeks before the potential start

of the fundraiser will AUTOMATICALLY be denied

• Submit any advertisement to public.relations@thon.org! • Contact alternative.fundraising@thon.org with any questions!• Enjoy your Alternative Fundraiser For The Kids!

STEP ONE: Visit THINK.psu.edu

STEP TWO: Log in

STEP THREE: Click “Request Fundraiser” Under User

STEP FOUR: Fill out Fundraiser Request Form

Please note: if you select “Yes” you would like THON to advertise, an advertisement for your fundraiser will appear on THON.org!

Please note: if you select “YES” under “Will any time, space or items be donated from a company to help run the fundraiser?” you MUST fill out a New Company Contact Request. This may be found under “Request Donor”

STEP FIVE: Submit Fundraiser Request

STEP SIX: Fill Out New Company Contact Form

Be sure to indicate that donations are intended for an Alternative Fundraiser.

STEP SEVEN: Submit Donor Request

STEP EIGHT: Wait for Approval!

STEP NINE: After receiving approval from alternative.fundraising@thon.org, host your

event!

STEP TEN: Fill out a Post-Fundraiser Report

This can be found under “Organization Info”

Then click “Add Fundraiser Report” under Fundraisers

STEP ELEVEN: Print out your Post-Fundraising Report and turn it in WITH

funds to 210 HUB!

STEP TWELVE: Thank Your Donors!
