  • Today‘s Presentation

    “Over 78% of all

    perceptions are

    done by eye.

    Over 65% of all

    purchasing

    decisions involve

    color.”

    Lee Eiseman,

    Executive Director

    Institute

  • What is Bad Color?

    BAD COLOR

is defined as an unexpected color that does not match the original product or does not match the

    specified color

  • Why Does Bad Color Happen?

    • Color is looked at under different light sources

    • Color is not clearly specified

    • Substitute printing processes are used

  • Three prerequisites for color perception:

Observer – light source – object

  • What Color is Grass?

  • What Color is Grass at Night?

  • Risks in Color Evaluation by a Human Being

    •Wrong/insufficient light source

    • No color memory

    • Every person has a different perception

    • 8% of males have defective color vision, 0.4% of females

    • Color perception is affection by surrounding colors

  • NEXT PROBLEM:

    COLOR COMMUNICATIONI’m thinking

    pale pink. Not

    too red.

    With a hint of

    blue. And a bit

    flirty but

    sophisticated.”

    “Understand.”
