HOW TO LABEL AND SAVE FLIP VIDEOS FOR PASA TESTING SPRING 2011 Flip for PASA Flip video your student(s) taking the test Make sure the batteries are charged You may stop the camera as often as necessary, but remember this will make a new file. Flip only has 2 hours of taping capabilities! Upload the files to the computer frequently and SAVE them. Delete the files from the Flip to create more space for testing other students. Put Flip Video into USB port It should automatically upload the new files Save them to the computer. Save the Files After the flip is inserted you will see a screen like this. If the initial screen shot is of the question it will help to label the file. How to label the Flip file Label each file with the Students First and Last Name, Test, and Skill Questions included. Example: Suzie Smith Reading Skill 1-4 Suzie Smith Reading Skill 5-20 Suzie Smith Math Skill 1-7 Critically Important Review Label the files and Folder correctly. The person burning your DVD will not know the student or the test! It is your responsibility to check the videos for accuracy prior to pick up. Sample Label Step 2 Desktop Create a Desktop Folder for each student Right click on desktop Select New Select Folder Label folder using students first and last name Example : Rheese Borland Step 3 Export the Flip File to the Desktop Folder Open the FlipShare Folder Locate the Files you have labeled and want to send (export) to the desktop folder Right click on the video file you want to export, an options box will open. Choose Export to Click on the Export button Find the students folder and double click on it. Right click on the video, choose send to and choose the destination.
