HOW TO MAKE A POWER POINT PRESENTATION

OPEN POWERPOINT AND SAVE

Find the Power Point Icon on the dock or go to Finder and search for Power Point

Double click on the iconWrite the title :

Example: Why Schools Should Not Require School Uniforms

Write your name in the subtitle box Example By Ann Stiles

SAVE YOUR WORK

Save your workGo to FileScroll down to “Save

as”Under Save as write:

________(your name) Essay (Example: AnnEssay)

Under Where make sure it is on documents

Click “Save”

Slide Layouts

Click on Slide Layouts on the top menu bar.

Select the Layout of the slide that will fit your needs.

FORMAT YOUR SLIDE

Click on Slide Themes and select a theme.

INSERTING NEW SLIDES

On the menu bar along the top of your document select, “Insert”

Scroll down until you find, “New Slide”

Or Click on “NEW SLIDE” on the top menu bar.

SAVE YOUR WORK OFTEN

Try to save your work after each slide

The Shortcut is “command S” or you can go up to “File”, scroll down, then select “Save”

ADDING PICTURES

Minimize your powerpoint

Go to Askkids.com on Firefox

Write a description of the picture you want

Select “ Images”Once you find the

picture: hold down the control button; then click on the mouse; choose “copy image”

you want to add the image to.

Edit, paste or you can hold the “command” button down and the other hand press “V” (to view the picture)
