ACS Self-Service Portal
Ordering Instructions
How to Place an Order
Click the link, www.cancer.org/materials, to access the ACS Self-Service Portal. You will see the home
page as shown below.
To find specific a title, you can use the Search box at the top right. If you want to browse the titles, click
on Catalogs tab and then select Cancer Information.

In the Cancer Information catalog, you will find the titles that are available and orderable. The titles are
listed in categories, which can be found in the blue toolbar on the left-hand side of the page. The
Categories toolbar will help you to quickly find the materials you need. Please note – the Categories
toolbar is a breakdown of the Cancer Information catalog. It does not contain additional materials
from the Cancer Information catalog.
You can also search for materials using the Search bar. In the screenshot below, the word “Breast” is
typed in. The search function will bring up all materials with the word “breast” in the item name or
description.

You can add items to your cart in two ways – either hovering over the item thumbnail or clicking the
Item Name or Number.
When you hover over the item’s thumbnail picture, a pop up a box will allow you to enter your quantity
and then click Add to Cart. Please note – most items are banded in set quantities of either 10 or 25.
If you click on the Item Name or Number, a full description of the item including Banding quantity (see
Order in bands of) will appear. In the screenshot below, this item must be ordered in quantities (bands)
of 25. To order, you must enter quantities in multiples of 25, 50, 75, etc. An error message will pop up
if you do not enter a multiple of 25.

For banded items, once the banded quantity is entered the price is then updated. In the screenshot
below, the item is priced at $.27 each and will update to $6.78 once the quantity of 25 is entered – total
price includes tax, shipping and handling charges.
Once you’ve finished adding all items, click on the Cart icon on the top right of your screen. The
Checkout screen will appear where you can review and edit your order. When ready, click on the CHECK
OUT button in the lower right corner.

Enter delivery address and click the Validate button. Once the address is confirmed by USPS, you will
see the green Address is Valid bar at the top of the screen. Click Next.

Please note – orders placed on this site can only be purchased using a credit card (all major credit
cards are accepted). The Customer Information section refers to the person placing and tracking the
order. Shipping and delivery updates will be emailed to the email address entered on the Customer
Information page.
Billing Information section refers to the card owner’s information. Enter the Cardholder’s Name and
Credit Card number as listed on the credit card. Please note – the email address entered in this section
will be used to email a payment receipt to the card owner or its designated recipient. Click Next.
Lastly, you will be asked to confirm your order information before submitting. Once your order is
confirmed, a receipt will be sent to the email address entered in the Email Receipt box under the Billing
Information section. Once the order has processed, updates will be emailed to the email address
entered in the Customer Information section. Expect delivery within in 5-10 business days.
