How to Pour Up a Dental Model

1After unwrapping the alginate material make sure you disinfect the alginate before you pour any stone in it

2Pour stone powder and water inside a green bowl getting ready to be mixed

3Before beginning to pour stone material in impressions make sure their are no distortions on the impression

4Start mixing the stone and water until it becomes a creamy cake batter like substance ready to be poured into the teeth print of the impression

5As pouring the stone watch it fill up the teeth and make sure their are no air bubbles set on the vibrator and remove all bubbles

6Then starting piling up stone on top of the material to make a thick base for the study model should be thicker than what goes in the impression

7After making the base let it set on a paper towel and remove all access stone that is running down the model it can mess up the final form

8After it sets for an hour you must break the impression out of the study model if it does not break easily let it sit in hot water to melt the tray adhesive

9After letting the model sit in hot water it should keep it well together and easy to break the impression from the model

10After set free the model should be ready to be trimmed and cut
