Important Note

If you would like to use the system in ITO's user computing centres (i.e. OEE702 and RRS302), please

refer to this user guide to change the computer settings before accessing the system.

How to Sign-in Online Exam System?

The system uses University’s SSO account in Microsoft Platform for authentication.

Follow the steps below to sign-in:

1. Visit https://exam.comp.hkbu.edu.hk/moodle/ using your desktop / laptop computer, click ‘Log

in’ at the top right corner.

2. Click the “HKBU” icon.

3. Microsoft Sign-in screen will be shown, enter studentid@link.hkbu.edu.hk (not studentid@life.hkbu.edu.hk ) as the username and press next. Wait a while under a HKBU Sign-in

4. In the HKBU Sign-in Page, the username has been pre-filled for you. You just need to enter your

HKBU SSOID password, and press Sign in.

5. If Duo Two-factor Authentication (2FA) is enabled for your account, you will see the following

screen. Please follow the instruction to Approve the sign-in on your mobile device.

6. The system will sign-in. It will show the following message if you didn’t sign-in before. Press

Accept.

7. If you see the following screen, for security reason, press “No” under Stay signed in?

7. After successful sign-in, you will view the dashbaord of the system.

How to Sign-out OES?

1. To sign-out OES, press the menu at the top right corner (Your name) and choose Log out

2. You will be redirected to the system homepage.

3. For security reason, please click the “Sign-out Microsoft Account” and close all browser

windows.
