• Howard created the 8 multiple intelligences, this are: nature smart, people smart, number smart, picture smart, self smart, body smart, music smart and word smart.

• Howard Gardner• is a psychologist American and professor at the university

Harvard University. Is a celebrity mainly for his theory of multiple intelligences.

• Born in Scranton , Pennsylvania in 1943, shortly after his family emigrated from Germany to the United States, who fled the Nazi regime. It is known in the education environment for their theory of multiple intelligences , based on each person has at least eight intelligences or cognitive abilities (musical, bodily-kinetic, logical-mathematical, linguistic, spatial, interpersonal, intrapersonal and naturalist)

Second languageTheory• Howard Gardner’s interest in psychology and the social science grew.

• Gardner went to work for a brief period with Jerome Bruner on the famous MACOS poject Bruner’s work, especially in the process of education (1960)

• was to make a profund impact, and the question that the programne asked were to find an echo in Gardners subseguent interest.

• During this he began to read the work of Claude Levi-Stratuss and Jean Piaget, he entered Havard’s doctoral programne in the 1996, and the following year became part of the Project Zero research team on arts education

• Project Zero provide and evironment in which Howard could beging to explore his interest in human cognition. He proceeded in a very different direction to the dominat discourse associated with Piaget and with psychometric testing.

Second Languge Theory• Howard viewed intelligences as the capacity to solves problem or to fashion products that are

volvied in one or more cultural setting. He reviewed the literature using eigth criteria or signs of an intelligences.

An evolutionary history and evolutionary pearsibility.• 4. Intelligences multiple• Linguistic intelligence involves sensitivity to spoken and written language, the ability lo learn

language and the capacity yo use language to accomplish certain goal. This intelligences includes the ability to eggective use language to express oneself rhetorically or poetically.

• Ej: writers, poets, lawyers and and speaker are among those that Howard sees as having high linguistic intelligences.

• Ej: view movies, writing a poem, spelling the word, social people.

• Logical mathematics intelligences: involves number, operation numbers, analyxe problem logical.• Ej. Adittion, difference, solving problems.• Classroom: the student couting how much thing around the classromm. Play with number,

activities of number in the classroom, singing the numbers in loud speakers.

• Musical intelligence involves the music, the apreciation of music patterns, capacity to compose rhytms, tone. This intellince in same with linguistic intelligence because involves much language.

Intelligences multiple• Kinestetic intelligence, this i ntelligence involves the body and your mind, This is ability touse

mental abilities to coordinate bodily movement.• Ej: cuando tu te desenvuelves como persona, conoces de muchos deportes, caminas y

aprendes palabras nuevas y lugares nuevos, cuando escuchas la musica en movimiento y comienzas a cantar en vos alta.

• Interpersonal intelligences: capacity to understad the intention, motivation and desire of other people. It allows people to work effectively with other. Educator, salespeople, religion people and political leader all need a well-development interpersonal intelligences.

• Intrapersonal intelligences: (YOU) capacity to understand ourself.

Summary

• Howard Gardner is a good theory, I love this theory because he said the childrens learning in diferent way, is that true. The intelligence multiple is good to use in the classroon because involving much word, the student involves in diferent ways, learning in diferent ways and the most important is that the all childrens participating in our class. All learning the english in 8 multiple intelligences.
