Under 8’s Cross Country
How much fun was this event yesterday! A beautiful sunny morning, 80 excited students and
plenty of proud parents and grandparents to enjoy the races. Thanks to all parents and friends
who were able to attend, help out and cheer on our youngest students. Thanks especially to
Mrs Cheeseman for her organisation.
Other sporting news this week
!!!!Congratulations to Finn Thompson who has been selected to represent Riverina in hockey
later in the year. Finn will attend the State hockey carnival in Grafton in June!!!!
Our school boys cricket team participated in the first round of the State knockout in Albury
today against Holbrook PS and managed to score a win. This takes them to the next round.
Well done Mr Brodie and team.
We also have girls attending netball trials on Friday in an attempt to gain selection in the
SRPSSA squad.
The over 8’s cross-country event will be held on Friday between 9-11. Please come along and
support the students and maybe help out around the track if you have some spare time. Mr
Clark is coordinating this event.
Staffing Update
By now you should have received a letter or perhaps read on Seesaw about the change of
Principal for the remainder of the year. I am pleased to announce that Mrs Sayasenh will take
over this role from me at the beginning of Term 2. I know that you will welcome her. Mrs
Sayasenh will spend some time in our school next week meeting students and staff.
