HP Chromebook14 T-Mobile Step-by-Step Registration Guide

Accept Terms & Conditions. Then open your

browser, you will be redirected to the T-Mobile

Activation site.

Open the HP Chromebook. ‘Select a network’ will

auto detect the T-Mobile Network at initial start-up.

This may take a moment to connect, please wait.

*NOTE: If you did not activate your free 4G service during the initial device

set-up process, proceed to the back-up section, slide 13 for instructions.

Select ‘Go to my Mobile Internet account’.

Select ‘Create a New Account’ button.

Fill out your information and select ‘Continue’. Your information is used only

to identify your device within the T-Mobile system.

Choose “Activation Only – No Additional Data” and ‘Continue’ to activate

your free 200MB monthly data.

Review your information and click “Submit”

Agree to Terms and Conditions button and select ‘Submit’ to complete

activation.

Activation is complete. Close the browser and reconnect to T-Mobile to access

the Internet



Note: depending on your software version

the following steps may not be necessary.

If you see ‘Network not available’ message,

please follow steps #10-13.


Click on ‘Select a network’ drop down menu.

Select ‘Disable Mobile Data’

Reconnect to ‘T-Mobile’, once reconnected you

have completed the activation process and can

access the Internet via 4G mobile internet.

If you did not activate your 4G service during the initial device set-up process, see the following steps to activate service.

Go to the lower right-hand corner of screen, click

on Wi-Fi icon and then click ‘Settings’.


Select ‘Wi-Fi Network’, and from the drop-down

menu and then select ‘Disable Wi-Fi’.

Select ‘Mobile Data’ this will take a moment,

please wait. The device will establish the T-Mobile

connection, then close the ‘Settings’ page.


Click on Google Chrome icon in lower left-hand of

the screen. You will be redirected to Google page

with limited connectivity.

Enter any web address, and you will be redirected

to the T-Mobile activation site.


Please go back to Step #3 in the

main section of this guide to complete

the activation process.
