Alpha Sy stems begin their phase down at the end of April 2007 with the end of normal ordering f or sy stems.

Af ter April, HP cannot guarantee that a product will be av ailable, but will accept an order if the company has

some lef t ov er inv entory .

HP will continue to sell ref urbished sy stems based on the inv entory of returned lease equipment and trade-

ins. In the Americas, HP Financial Serv ices handles sales of pre-owned equipment. For the rest of the

world, HP Remarketing sells pre-owned equipment.

The modular design of the EV7 f amily of Alpha Serv ers means that

upgrades include cabinets and drawers as well as CPUs, memory , and

adapters. All the modular components required f or sy stem upgrades

will remain f or sale at least until April 2008, one y ear af ter the end of

normal ordering of sy stems.

HP will of f er serv ice (maintenance, repair, and adv isory ) f or all currently selling Alpha Sy stems

f or a minimum of f iv e y ears af ter last system shipment. Note: Warranty coverage ends one y ear

af ter shipment

Ty pically , HP of f ers services much longer than the f iv e y ear minimum commitment. HP still of f ers service on all Alpha

Sy stems shipped since the original introduction 13 y ears ago in 1993. No End of Serv ice date has been scheduled f or

any Alpha Sy stem.
