    PERSONAL INJURY

    This course offers a variety of certifications toparalegals based on practice areas. Paralegals mayearn multiple certifications in practice areas. If aCertified Paralegal (CP) successfully completes theCore Course and all 8 practice area courses, theparalegal is eligible for the ACP Personal InjuryCredential.

    The Personal Injury Core Course and SpecialtyArea Courses are written for paralegals with aworking knowledge of the following:

    Federal Rules of Civil Procedure FederalRules of Evidence Statutes of Limitationsand Repose Burden of Proof Damagesand Remedies Insurance Policies andSubrogationPractice & Procedure Forms Power of AttorneyRelease and Consent Liens Agency Witness Statements andAffidavits Internet Research

    The following is required of Certified Paralegals(CP) for ACP certification in a practice area:

    CP certification in good standing Successful completion of PI Core CoursePre-Test (Note: This requirement is waived forparalegals with the Discovery and TrialPractice ACP Certifications) Successful completion of PI Core Courseincluding submission of the LearningContract and Statement of CompletionSuccessful completion of a PI practice areacourse including submission of the LearningContract and Statement of Completion

    Favorite Internet Resource: Google is toosimple of an answer, but I live in the searchengine (i.e. Tron or the Matrix). A moreobscure site that I use for investigation is

    snitch.name (no www). I also lovewww.snopes.com for disproving urbanlegend email and Facebook posts that justwont die!

    Favorite Social Media Site: Facebook -because its Facebook and Twitter becausehashtags are fun. #hashtagsarefun
