Policy Area: Administration and Support Policy No: 6.12 Policy Title: Exit Interviews Version: 1 Date Released: 1.0 KEY POLICY (Click Here to Return to the Index) The company will endeavour to obtain objective and confidential feedback from terminating employees regarding their perceptions and satisfaction with (Insert Company Name) as a place to work 2.0 OPERATING PROCEDURES 2.1 (Insert Company Name) will offer all full-time, part-time and fixed-term employees who voluntarily terminate their employment the
opportunity to participate in the company’s Exit Interview program. Casual employees or employees whose employment is involuntarily terminated will not be eligible to participate
2.2 Employee exit data is to be obtained using the company’s standard Exit Interview Form by one of the following methods: -
For employees designated at or above (Insert Level) by personal interview with the Human Resources Manager or an externally appointed consulting group
For other employees, by the issuing/return of the standard questionnaire either prior to or at the time of departure from the
company. (To be coordinated by the Payroll Department) Employees designated at or above (Insert Level) who do not participate in a formal interview are to be forwarded a questionnaire
for completion 2.3 All employees have the right to refuse to participate in an exit interview or in the completion of the questionnaire 2.4 Under no circumstances should an exit interview be conducted by an employee’s immediate manager 2.5 Completed exit interview data will be coordinated by the Human Resources Manager who will produce and circulate minimum quarterly
reports to the Executive Committee and Department Managers 2.6 Exit interview data is to be regularly evaluated to determine points of intervention and areas of satisfactory/exceptional performance
throughout the company
