EN Twenty-one bicycle routes of the Krapina- Zagorje County are distributed and fully displayed on the first four bicycle maps (Zagorje bike map 1-4). Four state bicycle routes (Zagorska, Toplička, Sutla and Trakošćan route) and the large county route are shown on the maps 1-4 informatively. Because of the length of the new routes and the space they cover, it was only possible to show their segments. The complete routes and descriptions of these routes are displayed on the fifth map (Zagorje bike map 5), which covers the entire Krapina-Zagorje County. Roads of Seljačka buna (Peasants’ revolt) 1 Places along the route: Marija Bistrica, Laz, Sv. Matej, Gornja Stubica, Selnica, Podgrađe, Marija Bistrica / Route length: 36 km / Cycling time: 2-3 hours / Total ascent: 550 m / Route difficulty: 3/5 / Lowest point of the route: 160 m / Highest point of the route: 420 m / Beginning and ending of the route: Marija Bistrica / Information about the route: Circular cycling route which will take you through the surroundings of Gornja Stubica, Marija Bistrica and northern Medvednica. Parts of the route merge with local cycling routes (for more information, contact the local tourist offices). The route is not marked with cycling signalisation, but the GPS track log is available online. This cycling route is very significant because it connects some of the most significant sites of the south-eastern Zagorje, such as Peasants’ Revolt museum and the Marian shrine in Marija Bistrica. Begin the bike ride at the central square in Marija Bistrica 1 in front of the shrine of Marija Božja Bistrička and continue along the Zagrebačka Street towards Laz. At the intersection 2 carefully continue straight. Soon a long ascent will begin and it will lead you to the small pass, called Laz. At Laz there is a restaurant where you can rest, and at the intersection 3 (7,8 km from start) turn right towards Sv. Matej. The route continues downhill. Like all routes in Zagroje, this route has also a number of prema Konjščini. U središtu G. Orešja možete se kratko odmoriti u lokalnom kafiću, a ako vam se žuri možete nastaviti dalje i na križanju 5 s pokloncem skrenite desno i nastavite uzbrdo. Kako se penjete, tako se i otvara prostor pred vama te možete uživati u pogledu na okolicu. U nastavku je ruta malo položenija, te nema većih brežuljaka. Prolazite kroz D. Orešje te na raskrižju 6 (14,8 km od starta) nastavite ravno. Polako se približavate Zelini i na Y raskrižju 7 (16,4 km od starta) skrenite desno uzbrdo. Raskrižje je lako promašiti, zato oprezno. Na slijedećem raskrižju 8 s Topličkom ulicom skrenite lijevo do raskrižja 9. Na raskrižju oprezno skrenite desno u ulicu Vladimira Nazora i nastavite oprezno prema središtu Zeline. Nakon raskrižja vožnju možete, zbog sigurnosti, nastaviti nogostupom. Nakon 18 km vožnje nalazite se u središtu Zeline gdje se možete odmoriti i pripremiti za povratak u Marija Bistricu istim putem. Jedna od mogućnosti za povratak je putom preko Zelingrada i Kladešćice, međutim put je isključivo za MTB, a spust s Kladešćice prema Mariji Bistrici je izrazito tehnički zahtjevan i na dijelovima opasan. Svakako se zadržite ovdje i uživajte u pogledu i saznajte više o buni u obližnjem muzeju smještenom u dvorcu Oršić. Na raskrižju ispred dvorca ruta dalje nastavlja desno nizbrdo do Y križanja 8 (19,6 km od starta). Na raskrižju skrenite lijevo i nastavite kratkim, ali strmim usponom do naselja Pasanci koje je prepuno tradicijske arhitekture. U nastavku ruta nastavlja uskim pitoresknim cestama do raskrižja 9 (21,2 km od starta) na kojem skrenite desno nizbrdo. U nastavku započinje nešto ravniji dio rute bez brežuljaka. Ubrzo na raskrižju 10 (23,7 km od starta) skrenite lijevo na pitoresknu cestu i vozite do Lojzekove hiže. Ovo je odlično mjesto za odmor. Nakon odmora nastavite do T raskrižja (25,8 km od starta) na kojem skrenite desno, a zatim na raskrižju 11 (26,4 km od starta) skrenite lijevo, kod kućnog broja 47d, na usku asfaltnu cestu. Raskrižje je lako promašiti, zato oprez. Ubrzo započinje makadamski put i uspon preko zadnjeg brijega na ovoj ruti. Nakon 28,4 km od starta u naselju Srebačići na raskrižju 12 skrenite desno i nastavite poljskim putem. Put je dobar, ali nakon kiše može biti malo blata. Šumski put ubrzo nastavlja kao pitoreskni makadam, zatim asfaltna cesta. U naselju Kutani, na raskrižju s raspelom, držite desnu stranu i ubrzo kreće poljski put koji prolazi pored polja i uz ergelu konja do naselja Podgrađe. Nakon Podgrađa, u naselju Prlićev Jarek, na raskrižju skrećete lijevo do raskrižja 13 (33,5 km od starta). Na raskrižju oprezno skrenite desno i oprezno nastavite vožnju prema Mariji Bistrici. Nakon 36 km ponovno se nalazite u središtu Marije Bistrice gdje ruta završava. Stubice, a imate i mogućnost posjetiti Muzej seljačke bune. Dio rute prolazi dijelom trase lokalnih biciklističkih ruta (za više informacija kontaktirajte lokalni turistički ured). Ruta nije označena signalizacijom za bicikliste, ali je GPS track log dostupan online. Spomenik Matiji Gupcu / Monument to Matija Gubec Dvorac Donje Oroslavje / Donje Orosavje Castle Horvatove stube / Horvat’s stairs Gorščica. Desno se odvaja makadam prema Vidovcu. Na slijedećem raskrižju 6 (13 km od starta) skrenite lijevo. Ubrzo dolazite do PD Gorščica 7 (13,7 km od starta). Dom je udaljen 150 m od makadamskog puta. Kod doma se možete odmoriti, jer u nastavku kreće teži dio rute. U nastavku rute na križanju 15 km od starta (lokacija Križna jela, drveni objekt) držite lijevu stranu i ubrzo dolazite do strmog dijela koji oprezno prođite (moguće blato). Nakon 16,8 km od starta na raskrižju s raspelom i dva objekta nastavite lijevo prema Lazu. Na raskrižju 8 (17,5 km od starta) držite desnu stranu i pratite oznake za Laz i Mariju Bistricu. Na raskrižju 9 (18,6 km od starta) skrenite lijevo prateći oznake za Laz. Na križanju je lako promašiti i zabunom nastaviti ravno, zato oprez. U nastavku nailazite na dio sa stepenicama, pa ih oprezno prođite i na T raskrižju 10 (19,3 km od starta) skrenite lijevo. Na raskrižju završava najteži dio puta i dalje nastavlja široki makadam. Prolazite pored nogometnog igrališta i ulazite u naselje Sv. Matej gdje na 21 km od starta završava makadam i na križanju 11 (21,3 km od starta) skrenite lijevo u smjeru G. Stubice. Terme Jezerčica / Thermae Jezerčica Nacionalno svetište Majke Božje Bistričke / National Marian shrine of Marija Božja Bistrička Spomen park Rudolfa Perišina / Rudolf Perišin monumental Park Dvorac Stubički Golubovec / Stubički Golubovec Castle 12 (26 km from start) keep left towards the site Gupčeva lipa. At the next roundabout turn right and at the intersection 13 (27,4 km from start) with crucifix turn left onto the macadam road. Cross over the stream and at the intersection 14 with the crucifix turn left. You will ride on the roads that provide a real riding pleasure. At the intersection 15 (31,1 km from start) turn left onto the macadam road. Intersection can be easily missed, so be careful. Soon you will cross over the stream and pass by the agro tourism site Majsecov mlin. The macadam road soon ends and at the intersection 16 (Trg Matije Gupca) carefully turn left, and then again left in the Podgorska street. The road to the top of Medvednica begins here. Ascent slowly and soon you will arrive in Donja Podgora where, at the intersection (34 km from start), keep right and follow the way marks for Sljeme and Zagreb. The ascent becomes steeper until the 38th km from start where it slowly starts to descent, but not for long, because at the intersection 17 (39,2 km from start) the new steep ascent begins. At the intersection you will connect with the main road that leads to the top of Medvednica. You will pass by the sites Fakultetsko dobro (Faculty goods) and after 46 km you will pass by Hunjka. Continue on the road you came from. If you want to have an easier ride to the top, you can continue on the asphalt road. After beautiful, but exhausting, 50 km of ride and over 1400 meters of the sea level height difference you will arrive to the Tomislavov dom, where the route started. From Marija Bistrica to Zelina 4 Places along the route: Marija Bistrica, Globočec, Gornje Orešje, Donje Orešje, Zelina / Route length: 18 km / Cycling time: 1 hour / Total ascent: 350 m / Route difficulty: 1/5 / Lowest point of the route: 150 m / Highest point of the route: 280 m / Beginning and ending of the route: Marija Bistrica, Zelina / Information about the route: one way cycling route that will take you from Marija Bistrica to Zelina. The route is very easy and connects Krapina-Zagorje routes with the ones in Zagreb County. The route is not marked with cycling signalisation, but the GPS track log is available online. This is a very short and easy cycling route that will take you from Marija Bistrica to Zelina in Zagreb County. When you come near Zelina, you can continue the ride on the cycling routes of Zagreb County. Parts of this route merge with the routes of TZO (Tourist board) of Marija Bistrica. Note: this is a one way route with 18 km length in one way. Start the ride at the central square in Marija Bistrica 1 in front of the shrine of Marija Božja Bistrička. There are a lot of parking spaces nearby. From the main square continue along the Ljudevit Gaj Street towards Zelina. Although the route is easy, in Zagorje you cannot avoid the hills, not even on this route. The first steeper ascent begins at 2,5 km from start and it will lead you to the Y intersection 2 with crucifix, turn left and continue downhill. Continue to ride through the picturesque valley on the road with less traffic. In the village Cecili (5,7 km from start), at the Y intersection 3 keep left and continue downhill. The ride continues through Žitomir and Prepolno to the T intersection 4 (9,7 km from start), where you turn right towards the centre of Gornje Orešje. On the left the road to Konjščina branches off. In the centre of Gornje Orešje you can take a break at the local coffee house, and if you are in a hurry you can continue to the intersection 5 with a shrine, and turn Majsecov mlin / Tradiitional Tourism Estate of the route you can expect mud after rain. The route is not marked with cycling signalisation; you can follow the hiking marks which are mostly available along the route, and GPS track log is available online. Be sure to get the Tourist-hiking map Medvednica, provided by GSS (mountain rescue service) authors (www.gss.hr), which will help you to find your way through Medvednica. This cycling route will lead you through the north-east part of the nature park Medvednica and the picturesque hills of Stubica region. The route is very difficult and only good mountain bikes should be used to overcome it. Be sure to get the Tourist-hiking map Medvednica, provided by GSS (mountain rescue service) authors (www.gss.hr), which will help you to find your way through Medvednica. Most of the parts of the route are marked with hiking marks. Begin the ride in front of one of the most popular sites on Medvednica, Tomislavov dom (Tomislav mountain lodge) 1. There are enough parking spaces available next to the lodge. Continue the ride from the lodge towards the top of Medvednica, Sljeme (1033 MASL) and continue towards the mountain lodges Puntijarka and Hunjka. After the top a combination of macadam and forest roads begins. Along the way you will pass by the Snježna kraljica (Snow Queen) facility and at the intersection 2, next to the mountain lodge Puntijarka, turn left onto the road to Hunjka. At the intersection 3 (4 km from start), next to the facilities Mala Hunjka and Dom obrtnika Hunjka (Craftsman lodge Hunjka), turn right onto the wide macadam road that will lead you to the mountain lodge Gorščica. At the T intersection 4 (6,3 km from start) turn left. To the right the macadam road towards Markuševec branches off. Macadam road is in excellent condition and easily passable. 10,3 km from the start the good macadam road ends and the forest road (sometimes muddy due to rain) begins. At the Y intersection 5 (12 km from start) turn left towards mountain lodge Gorščica. On the right the macadam road towards Vidovec branches off. At the next intersection 6 (13 km from start) turn left. Soon you will reach the mountain lodge Gorščica 7 (13,7 km from start). The lodge is located 150 meters from the macadam road. You can rest at the lodge, because afterwards the difficult part of the route begins. As the road continues, at the intersection 15 km from the start (site Križna jela, wooden facility) keep left and soon you will come to the steep section; pass carefully (possible mud). 16,8 km from the start, at the intersection with crucifix and two facilities, continue left towards Laz. At the intersection 8 (17,5 km from start) keep right and follow the way marks to Laz and Marija Bistrica. At the intersection 9 (18,6 km from start) turn left and follow the way marks to Laz. At the intersection it is easy to miss the road and to continue mistakenly straight ahead, so be careful. As you continue you will come to the part with stairs, pass carefully and at the T intersection 10 (19,3 km from start) turn left. At the intersection the most difficult part of the route ends and the wide macadam road begins. You will pass by the football field and enter the village Sv. Matej where, 21 km from start, the macadam ends and at the intersection 11 (21,3 km from start) turn left towards Gornja Stubica. Further along the road you will arrive at the centre of Gornja Stubica (25,7 km from start) where you can rest before you continue the ride. After Gornja Stubica the route passes a number of picturesque roads with less traffic. At the intersection Purica s mlincima / Turkey with mlinci (homemade dough) Ruta započinje u predivnome parku dvorca Oroslavje 1, odakle krećete u smjeru naselja Bračak. Oprezno vozite u prvome dijelu do željezničke pruge. Nakon 3,5 km od starta, oprezno skrenite desno na križanju 2 s glavnom cestom. Vožnju oprezno nastavite prema istoku. Ubrzo prolazite pored bolnice i kurije Bračak. Na raskrižju 3 skrenite desno, oprezno prijeđite prugu te nastavite uskim asfaltnim putem a zatim makadamom. Put vas vodi pored ribolovnog društva. Na sljedećem raskrižju skrenite desno na asfaltni put. Na raskrižju 4 (6,5 km od starta) skrenite lijevo i nastavite prema istoku. Uskoro stižete do naselja Knezići gdje na raskrižju 5 (9 km od starta) skrenite lijevo i nastavite lagano uzbrdo. Nakon 10,6 km vožnje u naselju Horvati, na raskrižju 6, držite desnu stranu i nastavite do Y raskrižja s raspelom na kojem skrenite desno. Polako ulazite u dolinu i prolazite kroz naselje Vučak te strmim usponom dolazite do raskrižja 7 (14,4 km od starta) s telefonskom govornicom. Skrenite desno. Dalje se vozite grebenskom cestom s lijepim pogledom. Na raskrižju 8 (15,3 km od starta) skrenite desno na makadamski put kod kućnog broja 52. Nastavljate vožnju grebenskom cestom s koje se također pruža lijep pogled na krajolik. Uskoro stižete u naselje Samci gdje na raskrižju 9 (17,7 km od starta) skrenite desno. Ovdje obavezno odvojite vrijeme kako biste posjetili Muzej seljačke bune. Nakon posjeta muzeju, na T raskrižju skrenite desno na slabo prometnu cestu. Na raskrižju 10 (18,7 km od starta) skrenite desno i započnite lagani uspon do raskrižja s raspelom na kojem skrenite lijevo. Ubrzo slijedi strm spust po šumskom putu na kojem budite oprezni. Nakon spusta dolazite do raskrižja 11 (19,8 km od starta). Na raskrižju najprije skrenite desno, a zatim kod raspela lijevo. Uskoro dolazite do Y raskrižja na kojem skrenite desno na makadamski put koji će vas dovesti do grebenske ceste s koje se pruža predivan pogled na krajolik. Na raskrižju 12 (21,1 km od starta) oprezno prijeđite asfaltnu cestu i nastavite ravno makadamom pored raspela. Dalje pratite makadamski put i kartu. Uskoro stižete do raskrižja 13 (22,7 km od starta) na kojem skrenite desno na uži asfaltni put te nastavite grebenskom cestom. Uživajte u lijepom pogledu. Ruta se u nastavku polako počinje spuštati prema dolini. Na raskrižju 14 (26 km od starta) skrenite lijevo. Nastavite asfaltnom cestom, oprezno prijeđite prugu i na raskrižju 15 oprezno skrenite desno, nastavljajući prema središtu Oroslavja. Ruta završava u parku dvorca Oroslavje. Put Medvednice i stubičkog kraja 3 Naselja uz rutu: Sljeme (Medvednica), PD Gorščica, Sv. Matej, Gornja Stubica, Donja Stubica, Sljeme (Medvednica) / Dužina rute: 50 km / Vrijeme vožnje: 5-6 sati / Ukupni uspon: 1460 m / Težina rute: +5/5 / Najniža točka na ruti: 195 m / Najviša točka na ruti: 1030 m / Početak i završetak rute: Sljeme (Medvednica) / Informacije o ruti: kružna biciklistička, isključivo za brdski bicikl. Ruta će vas provesti ljepotama Medvednice i okolice. Ruta je vrlo teška i na određenim dijelovima možete očekivati blato nakon kiše. Ruta nije označena signalizacijom za bicikliste, a dobrim dijelom možete pratiti planinarske oznake, a GPS track log dostupan je online. Svakako nabavite Turističko-planinarski zemljovid Medvednica autora Gorske službe spašavanja (www.gss.hr) koja će vam olakšati kretanje Medvednicom. Biciklistička ruta provest će vas sjeverno-istočnim dijelom parka prirode Medvednica i pitoresknim brežuljcima stubičkoga kraja. Ruta je vrlo teška i moguće ju je izvesti samo dobrim brdskim biciklom. Svakako nabavite Turističko-planinarski zemljovid Medvednica autora Gorske službe spašavanja (www.gss.hr) koja će vam olakšati kretanje Medvednicom. Ruta dobrim dijelom prolazi putovima koji su označeni planinarskim oznakama. Vožnju započnite ispred jedne od najpoznatijih lokacija na Medvednici, Tomislavovog doma 1. Pored doma ima dovoljno parkirališta. Od doma vožnju nastavite do samog vrha Medvednice, Sljemena (1033 m.n.m.) i nastavite u smjeru domova Puntijarka i Hunjka. Nakon vrha započinje kombinacija makadamskih i šumskih putova. Putem prolazite pored objekta Snježne kraljice i na raskrižju 2 pored PD Puntijarka skrenite lijevo na put prema Hunjki. Na raskrižju 3 (4 km od starta) pored objekata Mala Hunjka i Dom obrtnika Hunjka skrenite desno na široki makadamski put koji će vas voditi do PD Gorščica. Na T križanju 4 (6,3 km od starta) skrenite lijevo. Desno se odvaja makadam prema Markuševcu. Makadamski put je u odličnom stanju i vrlo lako je prohodan. Nakon 10,3 km od starta dobar makadamski put završava i nastavlja šumski put (ponekad blatnjav zbog kiše). Na Y raskrižju 5 (12 km od starta) skrenite lijevo u smjeru PD Dvorac Drakulić / Drakulić Castle Kalvarija u Mariji Bistrici / Calvary in Marija Bistrica there right and continue uphill. As you climb, the space in front of you will open up and you can enjoy the view of the surroundings. The route from here gets a bit flatter, and there are no major hills. Ride through the village Donje Orešje and at the intersection 6 (14,8 km from start) continue straight. Slowly you are getting closer to Zelina and at the intersection 7 (16,4 km from start) turn right uphill. Intersection can be easily missed, so be careful. At the next intersection 8 with Toplička Street turn left to the intersection 9. At the intersection carefully turn right into the Vladimir Nazor Street and continue carefully towards centre of Zelina. After the intersection you can continue the ride on the sidewalk, for safety reasons. After 18 km of the ride you are now in the centre of Zelina, where you can rest and prepare for the ride back to Marija Bistrica, using the same route. Orešje 0 km 4 Biciklistička ruta značajna je jer povezuje neke od najznačajnijih lokaliteta jugo- istočnog Zagorja poput muzeja Seljačke bune i marijanskog svetišta u Mariji Bistrici. Vožnju biciklom započnite na središnjem trgu u Mariji Bistrici 1 ispred Svetišta Majke Božje Bistričke i nastavite Zagrebačkom ulicom prema Lazu. Na raskrižju 2 oprezno nastavite ravno. Uskoro započinje duži uspon koji će vas dovesti na mali prijevoj naziva Laz. Na Lazu se nalazi gostiona u kojoj se možete odmoriti, a na raskrižju 3 (7,8 km od starta) skrenite desno u smjeru Sv. Mateja. Ruta dalje nastavlja nizbrdo. Kao i sve rute u Zagorju, tako i ova ruta ima niz uspona i spustova koji srećom nisu dugački, ali su česti. Ubrzo prolazite središtem naselja Sv. Matej i nastavljate prema Gornjoj Stubici. Cesta je mirna i bez puno vozila. Nakon 16 km od starta dolazite u središte 4 G. Stubice gdje se nalazi spomen park Rudolfa Perišina. U središtu se možete odmoriti i okrijepiti. Ruta dalje nastavlja do raskrižja 5 (16, 8 km od starta) na kojem skrenite desno i nakon 400 m skrenite ponovno desno 6 na manji put uzbrdo koji će vas dovesti točno ispred spomenika Seljačkoj buni i Matiji Gupcu 7, koji dominira prostorom. U nastavku dolazite u središte Gornje Stubice (25,7 km od starta) gdje se možete odmoriti za nastavak vožnje. Nakon Gornje Stubice ruta prolazi nizom malo prometnih i pitoresknih cesta. Na križanju 12 (26 km od starta) držite lijevo prema lokalitetu Gupčeva lipa. Na slijedećem kružnom toku skrenite desno i na raskrižju 13 (27,4 km od starta) s raspelom skrenite lijevo na makadamski put. Prelazite potok i na raskrižju 14 s raspelom skrenite lijevo. Ceste kojima prolazite pružaju pravi užitak u vožnji. Na raskrižju 15 (31,1 km od starta) skrenite lijevo na makadam. Raskrižje je lako promašiti, zato oprezno. Uskoro prelazite preko potoka i pored seoskog turizma Majsecov mlin. Makadam ubrzo završava i na raskrižju 16 (Trg Matije Gupca) oprezno skrenite lijevo, a zatim ponovno lijevo u Podgorsku ulicu. Odavde kreće cesta prema vrhu Medvednice. Lagano se uspinjete i ubrzo dolazite u Donju Podgoru gdje na križanju (34 km od starta) držite desnu stranu i dalje pratite signalizaciju za Sljeme i Zagreb. Uspon polako postaje intenzivniji sve do 38 km od starta gdje lagano krene nizbrdo, ali ne zadugo jer na raskrižju 17 (39,2 km od starta) ponovno započinje intenzivniji uspon. Na raskrižju se spajate na glavnu cestu koja vodi do vrha Medvednice. Prolazite pored lokacije Fakultetsko dobro i nakon 46 km prolazite pored Hunjke. Dalje nastavite putem kojim ste došli. Ukoliko si želite olakšati vožnju možete do vrha nastaviti asfaltnom cestom. Nakon predivnih, ali i napornih 50 km vožnje i preko 1400 m visinske razlike dolazite do Tomislavovog doma odakle je ruta i krenula. 12 turn right and continue on the narrow path. The path is good, but after the rain it can be a bit muddy. The forest path soon continues as a picturesque macadam, and then as an asphalt road. In the village Kutani, at the intersection with crucifix, keep right and soon a narrow path, that passes by the fields and paddock and leads to the village Podgrađe, will start. After Podgrađe, in the village Prlićev Jarek, at the intersection turn left to the intersection 13 (33,5 km from start). Ruta je vrlo lagana i povezuje Krapinsko- zagorske rute sa onima Zagrebačke županije. Ruta nije označena signalizacijom za bicikliste, ali je GPS track log dostupan online. Ovo je vrlo kratka i lagana biciklistička ruta koja će vas odvesti iz Marije Bistrice do Zeline u Zagrebačkoj županiji. Kada se približite Zelini vožnju možete nastaviti biciklističkim rutama Zagrebačke županije. Ova ruta prolazi dijelom biciklističkih ruta TZO Marija Bistrica. Napomena: ovo je jednosmjerna ruta dužine 18 km u jednom smjeru. Vožnju biciklom započnite na središnjem trgu u Mariji Bistrici 1 ispred Svetišta Majke Božje Bistričke. U blizini ima brojnih parkirališta. S glavnog trga nastavite ulicom Ljudevita Gaja u smjeru Zeline. Iako je ruta lagana, u Zagorju ne možete izbjeći brežuljke, pa tako ni na ovoj ruti. Prvi ozbiljni uspon počinje na 2,5 km od starta koji će vas dovesti do Y raskrižja 2 s raspelom na kojem skrenite lijevo i nastavite nizbrdo. Dalje se vozimo pitoresknom dolinom po cesti s malo prometa. U naselju Cecili (5,7 km od starta) na Y raskrižju 3 držite lijevu stranu i nastavite nizbrdo. U nastavku se vozite kroz Žitomir i Prepolno do T raskrižja 4 (9,7 km od starta) na kojem skrenite desno prema središtu G. Orešja. Lijevo se cesta odvaja ascents and descents, which luckily are not long, but are very common. Soon you will pass through the centre of the village Sv. Matej and continue towards Gornja Stubica. The road is quiet with very few vehicles. 16 km from start you will reach the centre 4 of Gornja Stubica where the memorial park Rudolf Peršin is situated. In the centre you can rest and refresh. The route continues to the intersection 5 (16,8 km from start), turn right and after 400 m turn right again 6 onto the narrow uphill road which will lead you straight to the monument of Peasants’ Revolt and Matija Gubec 7, that dominates the area. Be sure to stay for awhile and enjoy the view, and learn more about the Revolt in the nearby museum located in the castle Oršić. At the intersection in front of the castle the route continues to the right downhill to the Y intersection 8 (19,6 km from start). At the intersection turn left and continue on the short, but steep ascent until the village Pasanci, which is full of traditional architecture. The route continues on the narrow picturesque roads until the intersection 9 (21,2 km from start), where you turn right downhill. From here the flatter part of the route without the hills begins. Soon, at the intersection 10 (23,7 km from start) turn left onto the picturesque road and ride to Lojzekova hiža. This is a great place to rest. After the break continue to T intersection (25,8 km from start), turn right, and then at the intersection 11 (26,4 km from start) turn left, at house number 47d, onto the narrow asphalt road. Intersection can be easily missed, so be careful. Soon the macadam road begins and the ascent over the last hill of the route. After 28,4 km from start, in the village Srebačići, at the intersection be careful when crossing the railway lines, and continue on the narrow asphalt road. The road leads you along the fishing club, and at the next intersection turn right onto the asphalt road. At the intersection 4 (6,5 km from start) turn left and continue to the east. Soon you will reach the village Knezići where, at the intersection 5 (9 km from start), turn left and continue slightly uphill. After 10,6 km of the ride, in the settlement Horvati, at the intersection 6, keep right and continue to the Y intersection with the crucifix, and turn right. You are slowly entering the valley and pass through the settlement Vučak, and over the steep ascent you will come to the intersection 7 (14,4 km from start), with a telephone booth. Turn right. Continue riding on the ridge road with nice views. At the intersection 8 (15,3 km from start) turn right onto the macadam road, at the house number 52. You are still riding on the ridge road with beautiful views of the surroundings. Soon you will come to the settlement Samci where, at the intersection 9 (17,7 km from start), turn right. At this point, be sure to take the time and visit the site of the Museum of the Peasant revolt. After visiting the museum, at the T intersection, turn right on the road with less traffic. At the intersection 10 (18,7 km from start) turn right and continue slightly uphill, to the intersection with the crucifix, and turn left. Soon afterwards, the steep descent on the forest road follows, so be careful. After the descent you will reach the intersection 11 (19,8 km from start). At the intersection first turn right, and then, next to the crucifix, left. Soon you will reach the Y intersection, turn right on the macadam road which will lead you to the ridge road, where you can enjoy the beautiful views of the surroundings. At the intersection 12 (21,1 km from start) cross carefully the asphalt road and continue on the macadam road next to the crucifix. Keep following the macadam road and the map. Soon you will come to the intersection 13 (22,7 km from start), turn right onto the narrow asphalt path and continue on the ridge road with nice views. Enjoy the wonderful views of the surroundings. The route begins to descent towards the valley, and at the intersection 14 (26 km from start) turn left. Continue on the asphalt road, carefully cross over the railway line, and at the intersection 15 turn carefully right and continue towards the centre of Oroslavje. The Intergovernmental Committee for Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage has inscribed traditional manufacturing of children’s wooden toys in Hrvatsko Zagorje on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in year 2009. Wooden children’s toys are characteristic product of Krapina-Zagorje County and for many years they are created in the villages near Marija Bistrica. The range of certified products is very diverse and includes several types of instruments, rattles, wooden horses, kitchen and bedroom furniture, and more recently other toys like cars, planes, trains, trucks or trams. The most important centre of the gingerbread craft in the country is pilgrimage place in Marija Bistrica, and the gingerbread craftsmen licitari also work in surrounding villages. Certified gingerbread licitar products, except the most attractive licitar hearts (with symbolic meaning of giveaways between the lovers), include also babies, bonbons, horses, traditional gingerbreads, mead, votives, honey brandy, rosaries and products made of wax and paraffin. ENTwenty-one bicycle routes of the Krapina-Zagorje County are distributed and fully displayed on the first four bicycle maps (Zagorje bike map 1-4).

Four state bicycle routes (Zagorska, Toplička, Sutla and Trakošćan route) and the large county route are shown on the maps 1-4 informatively. Because of the length of the new routes and the space they cover, it was only possible to show their segments. The complete routes and descriptions of these routes are displayed on the fifth map (Zagorje bike map 5), which covers the entire Krapina-Zagorje County.

Roads of Seljačka buna (Peasants’ revolt) 1 Places along the route: Marija Bistrica, Laz, Sv. Matej, Gornja Stubica, Selnica, Podgrađe, Marija Bistrica / Route length: 36 km / Cycling time: 2-3 hours / Total ascent: 550 m / Route difficulty: 3/5 / Lowest point of the route: 160 m / Highest point of the route: 420 m / Beginning and ending of the route: Marija Bistrica / Information about the route: Circular cycling route which will take you through the surroundings of Gornja Stubica, Marija Bistrica and northern Medvednica. Parts of the route merge with local cycling routes (for more information, contact the local tourist offices). The route is not marked with cycling signalisation, but the GPS track log is available online.

This cycling route is very significant because it connects some of the most significant sites of the south-eastern Zagorje, such as Peasants’ Revolt museum and the Marian shrine in Marija Bistrica.

Begin the bike ride at the central square in Marija Bistrica 1 in front of the shrine of Marija Božja Bistrička and continue along the Zagrebačka Street towards Laz. At the intersection 2 carefully continue straight. Soon a long ascent will begin and it will lead you to the small pass, called Laz. At Laz there is a restaurant where you can rest, and at the intersection 3 (7,8 km from start) turn right towards Sv. Matej. The route continues downhill. Like all routes in Zagroje, this route has also a number of

prema Konjščini. U središtu G. Orešja možete se kratko odmoriti u lokalnom kafiću, a ako vam se žuri možete nastaviti dalje i na križanju 5 s pokloncem skrenite desno i nastavite uzbrdo. Kako se penjete, tako se i otvara prostor pred vama te možete uživati u pogledu na okolicu.

U nastavku je ruta malo položenija, te nema većih brežuljaka. Prolazite kroz D. Orešje te na raskrižju 6 (14,8 km od starta) nastavite ravno. Polako se približavate Zelini i na Y raskrižju 7 (16,4 km od starta) skrenite desno uzbrdo. Raskrižje je lako promašiti, zato oprezno. Na slijedećem raskrižju 8 s Topličkom ulicom skrenite lijevo do raskrižja 9. Na raskrižju oprezno skrenite desno u ulicu Vladimira Nazora i nastavite oprezno prema središtu Zeline. Nakon raskrižja vožnju možete, zbog sigurnosti, nastaviti nogostupom. Nakon 18 km vožnje nalazite se u središtu Zeline gdje se možete odmoriti i pripremiti za povratak u Marija Bistricu istim putem.

Jedna od mogućnosti za povratak je putom preko Zelingrada i Kladešćice, međutim put je isključivo za MTB, a spust s Kladešćice prema Mariji Bistrici je izrazito tehnički zahtjevan i na dijelovima opasan.

Dvadeset i jedna biciklistička ruta Krapinsko-zagorske županije raspoređena je i cjelovito prikazana na prve četiri biciklističke karte (Zagorje biciklistička karta 1-4).

Četiri državne biciklističke rute (Zagorska, Toplička, Sutla i Trakošćan) te velika županijska ruta prikazane su na kartama 1-4 informativno. Zbog duljina novih ruta te prostora koji obuhvaćaju, bilo je moguće prikazati samo njihove segmente. Cjelovite trase i opisi ovih ruta nalaze se na petoj karti (Zagorje biciklistička karta 5) koja obuhvaća cijelu Krapinsko-zagorsku županiju.

Svakako se zadržite ovdje i uživajte u pogledu i saznajte više o buni u obližnjem muzeju smještenom u dvorcu Oršić. Na raskrižju ispred dvorca ruta dalje nastavlja desno nizbrdo do Y križanja 8 (19,6 km od starta). Na raskrižju skrenite lijevo i nastavite kratkim, ali strmim usponom do naselja Pasanci koje je prepuno tradicijske arhitekture. U nastavku ruta nastavlja uskim pitoresknim cestama do raskrižja 9 (21,2 km od starta) na kojem skrenite desno nizbrdo.

U nastavku započinje nešto ravniji dio rute bez brežuljaka. Ubrzo na raskrižju 10 (23,7 km od starta) skrenite lijevo na pitoresknu cestu i vozite do Lojzekove hiže. Ovo je odlično mjesto za odmor. Nakon odmora nastavite do T raskrižja (25,8 km od starta) na kojem skrenite desno, a zatim na raskrižju 11 (26,4 km od starta) skrenite lijevo, kod kućnog broja 47d, na usku asfaltnu cestu. Raskrižje je lako promašiti, zato oprez. Ubrzo započinje makadamski put i uspon preko zadnjeg brijega na ovoj ruti. Nakon 28,4 km od starta u naselju Srebačići na raskrižju 12 skrenite desno i nastavite poljskim putem. Put je dobar, ali nakon kiše može biti malo blata. Šumski put ubrzo nastavlja kao pitoreskni makadam, zatim asfaltna cesta. U naselju Kutani, na raskrižju s raspelom, držite desnu stranu i ubrzo kreće poljski put koji prolazi pored polja i uz ergelu konja do naselja Podgrađe. Nakon Podgrađa, u naselju Prlićev Jarek, na raskrižju skrećete lijevo do raskrižja 13 (33,5 km od starta). Na raskrižju oprezno skrenite desno i oprezno nastavite vožnju prema Mariji Bistrici. Nakon 36 km ponovno se nalazite u središtu Marije Bistrice gdje ruta završava.

Kroz Oroslavje dolinom rijeke Krapine 2Naselja uz rutu: Oroslavje, Bračak, Vučak, Modrovec, Samci, Hruševec, Oroslavje / Dužina rute: 30 km / Vrijeme vožnje: 2–3 sata / Ukupni uspon: 430 m / Težina rute: 3/5 / Najniža točka na ruti: 150 m / Najviša točka na ruti: 300 m / Početak i završetak rute: Oroslavje / Informacije o ruti: Kružna biciklistička ruta provest će vas širokom dolinom rijeke Krapine i brežuljcima sjeverno od G. i D. Stubice, a imate i mogućnost posjetiti Muzej seljačke bune. Dio rute prolazi dijelom trase lokalnih biciklističkih ruta (za više informacija kontaktirajte lokalni turistički ured). Ruta nije označena signalizacijom za bicikliste, ali je GPS track log dostupan online.

Gorščica. Desno se odvaja makadam prema Vidovcu. Na slijedećem raskrižju 6 (13 km od starta) skrenite lijevo.

Ubrzo dolazite do PD Gorščica 7 (13,7 km od starta). Dom je udaljen 150 m od makadamskog puta. Kod doma se možete odmoriti, jer u nastavku kreće teži dio rute. U nastavku rute na križanju 15 km od starta (lokacija Križna jela, drveni objekt) držite lijevu stranu i ubrzo dolazite do strmog dijela koji oprezno prođite (moguće blato). Nakon 16,8 km od starta na raskrižju s raspelom i dva objekta nastavite lijevo prema Lazu. Na raskrižju 8 (17,5 km od starta) držite desnu stranu i pratite oznake za Laz i Mariju Bistricu. Na raskrižju 9 (18,6 km od starta) skrenite lijevo prateći oznake za Laz. Na križanju je lako promašiti i zabunom nastaviti ravno, zato oprez. U nastavku nailazite na dio sa stepenicama, pa ih oprezno prođite i na T raskrižju 10 (19,3 km od starta) skrenite lijevo. Na raskrižju završava najteži dio puta i dalje nastavlja široki makadam. Prolazite pored nogometnog igrališta i ulazite u naselje Sv. Matej gdje na 21 km od starta završava makadam i na križanju 11 (21,3 km od starta) skrenite lijevo u smjeru G. Stubice.

12 (26 km from start) keep left towards the site Gupčeva lipa. At the next roundabout turn right and at the intersection 13 (27,4 km from start) with crucifix turn left onto the macadam road. Cross over the stream and at the intersection 14 with the crucifix turn left. You will ride on the roads that provide a real riding pleasure. At the intersection 15 (31,1 km from start) turn left onto the macadam road. Intersection can be easily missed, so be careful. Soon you will cross over the stream and pass by the agro tourism site Majsecov mlin. The macadam road soon ends and at the intersection 16 (Trg Matije Gupca) carefully turn left, and then again left in the Podgorska street. The road to the top of Medvednica begins here. Ascent slowly and soon you will arrive in Donja Podgora where, at the intersection (34 km from start), keep right and follow the way marks for Sljeme and Zagreb.

The ascent becomes steeper until the 38th km from start where it slowly starts to descent, but not for long, because at the intersection 17 (39,2 km from start) the new steep ascent begins. At the intersection you will connect with the main road that leads to the top of Medvednica. You will pass by the sites Fakultetsko dobro (Faculty goods) and after 46 km you will pass by Hunjka. Continue on the road you came from. If you want to have an easier ride to the top, you can continue on the asphalt road. After beautiful, but exhausting, 50 km of ride and over 1400 meters of the sea level height difference you will arrive to the Tomislavov dom, where the route started.

This is a very short and easy cycling route that will take you from Marija Bistrica to Zelina in Zagreb County. When you come near Zelina, you can continue the ride on the cycling routes of Zagreb County. Parts of this route merge with the routes of TZO (Tourist board) of Marija Bistrica. Note: this is a one way route with 18 km length in one way.

Start the ride at the central square in Marija Bistrica 1 in front of the shrine of Marija Božja Bistrička. There are a lot of parking spaces nearby. From the main square continue along the Ljudevit Gaj Street towards Zelina. Although the route is easy, in Zagorje you cannot avoid the hills, not even on this route. The first steeper ascent begins at 2,5 km from start and it will lead you to the Y intersection 2 with crucifix, turn left and continue downhill. Continue to ride through the picturesque valley on the road with less traffic. In the village Cecili (5,7 km from start), at the Y intersection 3 keep left and continue downhill. The ride continues through Žitomir and Prepolno to the T intersection 4 (9,7 km from start), where you turn right towards the centre of Gornje Orešje. On the left the road to Konjščina branches off. In the centre of Gornje Orešje you can take a break at the local coffee house, and if you are in a hurry you can continue to the intersection 5 with a shrine, and turn

This cycling route will lead you through the north-east part of the nature park Medvednica and the picturesque hills of Stubica region. The route is very difficult and only good mountain bikes should be used to overcome it. Be sure to get the Tourist-hiking map Medvednica, provided by GSS (mountain rescue service) authors (www.gss.hr), which will help you to find your way through Medvednica. Most of the parts of the route are marked with hiking marks.

Begin the ride in front of one of the most popular sites on Medvednica, Tomislavov dom (Tomislav mountain lodge) 1. There are enough parking spaces available next to the lodge. Continue the ride from the lodge towards the top of Medvednica, Sljeme (1033 MASL) and continue towards the mountain lodges Puntijarka and Hunjka. After the top a combination of macadam and forest roads begins. Along the way you will pass by the Snježna kraljica (Snow Queen) facility and at the intersection 2, next to the mountain lodge Puntijarka, turn left onto the road to Hunjka. At the intersection 3 (4 km from start), next to the facilities Mala Hunjka and Dom obrtnika Hunjka (Craftsman lodge Hunjka), turn right onto the wide macadam road that will lead you to the mountain lodge Gorščica. At the T intersection 4 (6,3 km from start) turn left. To the right the macadam road towards Markuševec branches off. Macadam road is in excellent condition and easily passable. 10,3 km from the start the good macadam road ends and the forest road (sometimes muddy due to rain) begins. At the Y intersection 5 (12 km from start) turn left towards mountain lodge Gorščica. On the right the macadam road towards Vidovec branches off. At the next intersection 6 (13 km from start) turn left.

Soon you will reach the mountain lodge Gorščica 7 (13,7 km from start). The lodge is located 150 meters from the macadam road. You can rest at the lodge, because afterwards the difficult part of the route begins. As the road continues, at the intersection 15 km from the start (site Križna jela, wooden facility) keep left and soon you will come to the steep section; pass carefully (possible mud). 16,8 km from the start, at the intersection with crucifix and two facilities, continue left towards Laz. At the intersection 8 (17,5 km from start) keep right and follow the way marks to Laz and Marija Bistrica. At the intersection 9 (18,6 km from start) turn left and follow the way marks to Laz. At the intersection it is easy to miss the road and to continue mistakenly straight ahead, so be careful. As you continue you will come to the part with stairs, pass carefully and at the T intersection 10 (19,3 km from start) turn left. At the intersection the most difficult part of the route ends and the wide macadam road begins. You will pass by the football field and enter the village Sv. Matej where, 21 km from start, the macadam ends and at the intersection 11 (21,3 km from start) turn left towards Gornja Stubica.

Further along the road you will arrive at the centre of Gornja Stubica (25,7 km from start) where you can rest before you continue the ride. After Gornja Stubica the route passes a number of picturesque roads with less traffic. At the intersection

Ruta započinje u predivnome parku dvorca Oroslavje 1, odakle krećete u smjeru naselja Bračak. Oprezno vozite u prvome dijelu do željezničke pruge. Nakon 3,5 km od starta, oprezno skrenite desno na križanju 2 s glavnom cestom. Vožnju oprezno nastavite prema istoku. Ubrzo prolazite pored bolnice i kurije Bračak. Na raskrižju 3 skrenite desno, oprezno prijeđite prugu te nastavite uskim asfaltnim putem a zatim makadamom. Put vas vodi pored ribolovnog društva. Na sljedećem raskrižju skrenite desno na asfaltni put. Na raskrižju 4 (6,5 km od starta) skrenite lijevo i nastavite prema istoku. Uskoro stižete do naselja Knezići gdje na raskrižju 5 (9 km od starta) skrenite lijevo i nastavite lagano uzbrdo.

Nakon 10,6 km vožnje u naselju Horvati, na raskrižju 6, držite desnu stranu i nastavite do Y raskrižja s raspelom na kojem skrenite desno. Polako ulazite u dolinu i prolazite kroz naselje Vučak te strmim usponom dolazite do raskrižja 7 (14,4 km od starta) s telefonskom govornicom. Skrenite desno. Dalje se vozite grebenskom cestom s lijepim pogledom. Na raskrižju 8 (15,3 km od starta) skrenite desno na makadamski put kod kućnog broja 52. Nastavljate vožnju grebenskom cestom s koje se također pruža lijep pogled na krajolik. Uskoro stižete u naselje Samci gdje na raskrižju 9 (17,7 km od starta) skrenite desno. Ovdje obavezno odvojite vrijeme kako biste posjetili Muzej seljačke bune. Nakon posjeta muzeju, na T raskrižju skrenite desno na slabo prometnu cestu. Na raskrižju 10 (18,7 km od starta) skrenite desno i započnite lagani uspon do raskrižja s raspelom na kojem skrenite lijevo. Ubrzo slijedi strm spust po šumskom putu na kojem budite oprezni. Nakon spusta dolazite do raskrižja 11 (19,8 km od starta). Na raskrižju najprije skrenite desno, a zatim kod raspela lijevo. Uskoro dolazite do Y raskrižja na kojem skrenite desno na makadamski put koji će vas dovesti do grebenske ceste s koje se pruža predivan pogled na krajolik. Na raskrižju 12 (21,1 km od starta) oprezno prijeđite asfaltnu cestu i nastavite ravno makadamom pored raspela. Dalje pratite makadamski put i kartu. Uskoro stižete do raskrižja 13 (22,7 km od starta) na kojem skrenite desno na uži asfaltni put te nastavite grebenskom cestom. Uživajte u lijepom pogledu. Ruta se u nastavku polako počinje spuštati prema dolini. Na raskrižju 14 (26 km od starta) skrenite lijevo. Nastavite asfaltnom cestom, oprezno prijeđite prugu i na raskrižju 15 oprezno skrenite desno, nastavljajući prema središtu Oroslavja. Ruta završava u parku dvorca Oroslavje.

Ruta dobrim dijelom prolazi putovima koji su označeni planinarskim oznakama.

Vožnju započnite ispred jedne od najpoznatijih lokacija na Medvednici, Tomislavovog doma 1. Pored doma ima dovoljno parkirališta. Od doma vožnju nastavite do samog vrha Medvednice, Sljemena (1033 m.n.m.) i nastavite u smjeru domova Puntijarka i Hunjka. Nakon vrha započinje kombinacija makadamskih i šumskih putova. Putem prolazite pored objekta Snježne kraljice i na raskrižju 2 pored PD Puntijarka skrenite lijevo na put prema Hunjki. Na raskrižju 3 (4 km od starta) pored objekata Mala Hunjka i Dom obrtnika Hunjka skrenite desno na široki makadamski put koji će vas voditi do PD Gorščica. Na T križanju 4 (6,3 km od starta) skrenite lijevo. Desno se odvaja makadam prema Markuševcu. Makadamski put je u odličnom stanju i vrlo lako je prohodan. Nakon 10,3 km od starta dobar makadamski put završava i nastavlja šumski put (ponekad blatnjav zbog kiše). Na Y raskrižju 5 (12 km od starta) skrenite lijevo u smjeru PD

there right and continue uphill. As you climb, the space in front of you will open up and you can enjoy the view of the surroundings.

The route from here gets a bit flatter, and there are no major hills. Ride through the village Donje Orešje and at the intersection 6 (14,8 km from start) continue straight. Slowly you are getting closer to Zelina and at the intersection 7 (16,4 km from start) turn right uphill. Intersection can be easily missed, so be careful. At the next intersection 8 with Toplička Street turn left to the intersection 9. At the intersection carefully turn right into the Vladimir Nazor Street and continue carefully towards centre of Zelina. After the intersection you can continue the ride on the sidewalk, for safety reasons. After 18 km of the ride you are now in the centre of Zelina, where you can rest and prepare for the ride back to Marija Bistrica, using the same route.

One of possible routes for going back is the road through Zelingrad and Kladešćica, but this road is exclusively for mountain bikes, and the descent from Kladešćica towards Marija Bistrica is extremely technically challenging and on some parts even dangerous.

Biciklistička ruta značajna je jer povezuje neke od najznačajnijih lokaliteta jugo-istočnog Zagorja poput muzeja Seljačke bune i marijanskog svetišta u Mariji Bistrici.

Vožnju biciklom započnite na središnjem trgu u Mariji Bistrici 1 ispred Svetišta Majke Božje Bistričke i nastavite Zagrebačkom ulicom prema Lazu. Na raskrižju 2 oprezno nastavite ravno. Uskoro započinje duži uspon koji će vas dovesti na mali prijevoj naziva Laz. Na Lazu se nalazi gostiona u kojoj se možete odmoriti, a na raskrižju 3 (7,8 km od starta) skrenite desno u smjeru Sv. Mateja. Ruta dalje nastavlja nizbrdo. Kao i sve rute u Zagorju, tako i ova ruta ima niz uspona i spustova koji srećom nisu dugački, ali su česti. Ubrzo prolazite središtem naselja Sv. Matej i nastavljate prema Gornjoj Stubici. Cesta je mirna i bez puno vozila. Nakon 16 km od starta dolazite u središte 4 G. Stubice gdje se nalazi spomen park Rudolfa Perišina. U središtu se možete odmoriti i okrijepiti.

Ruta dalje nastavlja do raskrižja 5 (16, 8 km od starta) na kojem skrenite desno i nakon 400 m skrenite ponovno desno 6 na manji put uzbrdo koji će vas dovesti točno ispred spomenika Seljačkoj buni i Matiji Gupcu 7, koji dominira prostorom.

U nastavku dolazite u središte Gornje Stubice (25,7 km od starta) gdje se možete odmoriti za nastavak vožnje. Nakon Gornje Stubice ruta prolazi nizom malo prometnih i pitoresknih cesta. Na križanju 12 (26 km od starta) držite lijevo prema lokalitetu Gupčeva lipa. Na slijedećem kružnom toku skrenite desno i na raskrižju 13 (27,4 km od starta) s raspelom skrenite lijevo na makadamski put. Prelazite potok i na raskrižju 14 s raspelom skrenite lijevo. Ceste kojima prolazite pružaju pravi užitak u vožnji. Na raskrižju 15 (31,1 km od starta) skrenite lijevo na makadam. Raskrižje je lako promašiti, zato oprezno. Uskoro prelazite preko potoka i pored seoskog turizma Majsecov mlin. Makadam ubrzo završava i na raskrižju 16 (Trg Matije Gupca) oprezno skrenite lijevo, a zatim ponovno lijevo u Podgorsku ulicu. Odavde kreće cesta prema vrhu Medvednice. Lagano se uspinjete i ubrzo dolazite u Donju Podgoru gdje na križanju (34 km od starta) držite desnu stranu i dalje pratite signalizaciju za Sljeme i Zagreb.

Uspon polako postaje intenzivniji sve do 38 km od starta gdje lagano krene nizbrdo, ali ne zadugo jer na raskrižju 17 (39,2 km od starta) ponovno započinje intenzivniji uspon. Na raskrižju se spajate na glavnu cestu koja vodi do vrha Medvednice. Prolazite pored lokacije Fakultetsko dobro i nakon 46 km prolazite pored Hunjke. Dalje nastavite putem kojim ste došli. Ukoliko si želite olakšati vožnju možete do vrha nastaviti asfaltnom cestom. Nakon predivnih, ali i napornih 50 km vožnje i preko 1400 m visinske razlike dolazite do Tomislavovog doma odakle je ruta i krenula.

In the village Kutani, at the intersection with crucifix, keep right and soon a narrow path, that passes by the fields and paddock and leads to the village Podgrađe, will start. After Podgrađe, in the village Prlićev Jarek, at the intersection turn left to the intersection 13 (33,5 km from start). At the intersection turn carefully right and continue the ride carefully towards Marija Bistrica. After 36 km you are again in the centre of Marija Bistrica, where the route ends.

The route begins in the beautiful park of the castle Oroslavje 1 where you start towards the settlement Bračak. Drive carefully in the first part of the route to the railway line. After 3,5 km from the start, at the intersection 2 with the main road, turn carefully right and continue riding carefully to the east. Soon you will pass by the hospital and the manor house Bračak, and at the intersection 3 turn right,

Ovo je vrlo kratka i lagana biciklistička ruta koja će vas odvesti iz Marije Bistrice do Zeline u Zagrebačkoj županiji. Kada se približite Zelini vožnju možete nastaviti biciklističkim rutama Zagrebačke županije. Ova ruta prolazi dijelom biciklističkih ruta TZO Marija Bistrica. Napomena: ovo je jednosmjerna ruta dužine 18 km u jednom smjeru.

Vožnju biciklom započnite na središnjem trgu u Mariji Bistrici 1 ispred Svetišta Majke Božje Bistričke. U blizini ima brojnih parkirališta. S glavnog trga nastavite ulicom Ljudevita Gaja u smjeru Zeline. Iako je ruta lagana, u Zagorju ne možete izbjeći brežuljke, pa tako ni na ovoj ruti. Prvi ozbiljni uspon počinje na 2,5 km od starta koji će vas dovesti do Y raskrižja 2 s raspelom na kojem skrenite lijevo i nastavite nizbrdo. Dalje se vozimo pitoresknom dolinom po cesti s malo prometa. U naselju Cecili (5,7 km od starta) na Y raskrižju 3 držite lijevu stranu i nastavite nizbrdo. U nastavku se vozite kroz Žitomir i Prepolno do T raskrižja 4 (9,7 km od starta) na kojem skrenite desno prema središtu G. Orešja. Lijevo se cesta odvaja

ascents and descents, which luckily are not long, but are very common. Soon you will pass through the centre of the village Sv. Matej and continue towards Gornja Stubica. The road is quiet with very few vehicles. 16 km from start you will reach the centre 4 of Gornja Stubica where the memorial park Rudolf Peršin is situated. In the centre you can rest and refresh.

The route continues to the intersection 5 (16,8 km from start), turn right and after 400 m turn right again 6 onto the narrow uphill road which will lead you straight to the monument of Peasants’ Revolt and Matija Gubec 7, that dominates the area. Be sure to stay for awhile and enjoy the view, and learn more about the Revolt in the nearby museum located in the castle Oršić. At the intersection in front of the castle the route continues to the right downhill to the Y intersection 8 (19,6 km from start). At the intersection turn left and continue on the short, but steep ascent until the village Pasanci, which is full of traditional architecture. The route continues on the narrow picturesque roads until the intersection 9 (21,2 km from start), where you turn right downhill.

From here the flatter part of the route without the hills begins. Soon, at the intersection 10 (23,7 km from start) turn left onto the picturesque road and ride to Lojzekova hiža. This is a great place to rest. After the break continue to T intersection (25,8 km from start), turn right, and then at the intersection 11 (26,4 km from start) turn left, at house number 47d, onto the narrow asphalt road. Intersection can be easily missed, so be careful. Soon the macadam road begins and the ascent over the last hill of the route. After 28,4 km from start, in the village Srebačići, at the intersection

be careful when crossing the railway lines, and continue on the narrow asphalt road. The road leads you along the fishing club, and at the next intersection turn right onto the asphalt road. At the intersection 4 (6,5 km from start) turn left and continue to the east. Soon you will reach the village Knezići where, at the intersection 5 (9 km from start), turn left and continue slightly uphill.

After 10,6 km of the ride, in the settlement Horvati, at the intersection 6, keep right and continue to the Y intersection with the crucifix, and turn right. You are slowly entering the valley and pass through the settlement Vučak, and over the steep ascent you will come to the intersection 7 (14,4 km from start), with a telephone booth. Turn right. Continue riding on the ridge road with nice views. At the intersection 8 (15,3 km from start) turn right onto the macadam road, at the house number 52. You are still riding on the ridge road with beautiful views of the surroundings. Soon you will come to the settlement Samci where, at the intersection 9 (17,7 km from start), turn right. At this point, be sure to take the time and visit the site of the Museum of the Peasant revolt. After visiting the museum, at the T intersection, turn right on the road with less traffic.

At the intersection 10 (18,7 km from start) turn right and continue slightly uphill, to the intersection with the crucifix, and turn left. Soon afterwards, the steep descent on the forest road follows, so be careful. After the descent you will reach the intersection 11 (19,8 km from start). At the intersection first turn right, and then, next to the crucifix, left. Soon you will reach the Y intersection, turn right on the macadam road which will lead you to the ridge road, where you can enjoy the beautiful views of the surroundings. At the intersection 12 (21,1 km from start) cross carefully the asphalt road and continue on the macadam road next to the crucifix. Keep following the macadam road and the map. Continue on the asphalt road, carefully cross over the railway line, and at the intersection 15 turn carefully right and continue towards the centre of Oroslavje. The route ends in the park of the castle Oroslavje.

Međunarodni odbor za očuvanje nematerijalne kulturne baštine UNESCO-a upisao je izradu tradicijskih drvenih dječjih igračaka Hrvatskog zagorja na Reprezentativnu listu nematerijalne kulturne baštine čovječanstva 2009.g.Drvene dječje igračke karakterističan su proizvod Krapinsko-zagorske županije i već dugi niz godina nastaju u selima nedaleko Marije Bistrice. Lepeza certificiranih proizvoda vrlo je raznolika i uključuje nekoliko vrsta svirala, klepetaljke, drvene konjiće, kuhinjski i sobni namještaj a u novije vrijeme izrađuju se i igračke poput automobila, zrakoplova, vlaka, kamiona ili tramvaja. Čarobne ruke majstora dječjih igračaka nastavljaju tradiciju izrade u svojim zagorskim selima, obogaćujući tako ponudu Zagorja prepoznatljivog naziva Bajka na dlanu i dodatno ga pozicionirajući kao turističku destinaciju kontinentalnog turizma.

The Intergovernmental Committee for Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage has inscribed traditional manufacturing of children’s wooden toys in Hrvatsko Zagorje on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in year 2009. Wooden children’s toys are characteristic product of Krapina-Zagorje County and for many years they are created in the villages near Marija Bistrica. The range of certified products is very diverse and includes several types of instruments, rattles, wooden horses, kitchen and bedroom furniture, and more recently other toys like cars, planes, trains, trucks or trams. Magic hands of children’s toys craftsmen continue the tradition of manufacturing in their Zagorje villages, enriching the offer of Zagorje, with recognizable name Fairytale at hand, and position it further as a tourist destination of continental tourism. www.min-kulture.hr

“Hodočasnički turizam”, prva i jedinstvena takva vrsta publikacije u Hrvatskoj koja daje cjelovit pregled guste mreže hodočasničkih putova zagorskim Marijanskim svetištima.

“Pilgrim tourism” is the first and unique publication of that kind in Croatia,which gives a complete overview of a dense network of pilgrimage routes through Zagorje Marian shrines.

Međunarodni odbor za očuvanje nematerijalne kulturne baštine UNESCO-a upisao je Medičarski obrt sjeverne Hrvatske na Reprezentativnu listu nematerijalne kulturne baštine čovječanstva 2010. g.Najvažnije središte medičarskog obrta u zemlji je proštenište u Mariji Bistrici a majstori licitari djeluju i u okolnim selima. Certificirani licitarski proizvodi osim najatraktivnijih licitarskih srca (sa simboličkim značenjem darivanja među zaljubljenima), uključuju još i bebe, bonbone, konjiće, medenjake, medicu, votive, gvirc, krunice te proizvodi od voska i parafina.Zagorje je time dobilo još jednu potvrdu očuvanju tradicije i predanom radu ljudi koji su odlučili ovu našu regiju prepoznatljivog naziva Bajka na dlanu pretvoriti u vodeću destinaciju kontinentalnog turizma.

The Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage has inscribed Gingerbread craft from Northern Croatia on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in year 2010. The most important centre of the gingerbread craft in the country is pilgrimage place in Marija Bistrica, and the gingerbread craftsmen licitari also work in surrounding villages. Certified gingerbread licitar products, except the most attractive licitar hearts (with symbolic meaning of giveaways between the lovers), include also babies, bonbons, horses, traditional gingerbreads, mead, votives, honey brandy, rosaries and products made of wax and paraffin. With this certificate Zagorje has received another confirmation for preserving tradition and dedicated work of people who have chosen to turn our region with the recognizable name Fairytale at hand into the leading destination of continental tourism.

At the intersection continue left downhill. 3. Y intersection. At the intersection turn left and continue downhill. 4. T intersection, continue to the right slightly downhill. The road on the left leads to Konjščina. 5. Y intersection with a shrine. At the intersection continue to the right uphill towards Zelina. 6. Intersection, continue straight. 7. Caution. Y intersection, turn right uphill. Intersection can be easily missed. 8. Y intersection, turn left and continue along Toplička Street. 9. Caution. Y intersection, turn right and continue carefully uphill. If needed, you can use the sidewalk, for safety reasons.

Raskrižje, skrenite lijevo i nastavite prema Lojzekovoj hiži. 11. Oprez. T raskrižje, skrenite lijevo pored kućnog broja 47d. Raskrižje je lako promašiti. 12. T raskrižje, skrenite desno. Ubrzo nastavljate poljskim putem. 13. Oprez. T raskrižje s glavnom cestom, oprezno skrenite desno.

Na raskrižju nastavite lijevo nizbrdo. 3. Y raskrižje. Na raskrižju skrenite lijevo i nastavite nizbrdo. 4. T raskrižje, nastavite desno lagano nizbrdo. Cesta lijevo vodi prema Konjščini. 5. Y raskrižje s pokloncem. Na raskrižju nastavite desno uzbrdo prema Zelini. 6. Raskrižje, nastavite ravno. 7. Oprez. Y raskrižje, skrenite desno uzbrdo. Raskrižje je lako promašiti. 8.
