    Q. 1 What are the major functions performed by your

    HRM department?

    HRM deals with recruitment and selection,

    performance analysis, manpower planning,

    career development, compensation and

    benefits, regulation and compliance of

    law.

    Q. 2 What is the core competency (main strength) ofyour HRM department?

    Q. 3 To what extent Globalization is affecting your

    HRM policies?

    Being central bank SBP has to keep up

    with the international policies as our

    applicable in other central banks.

    Q. 4 How much rapid change in technology has

    affected your HRM policies.

    Not much

    Q. 5 What are your management policies that are

    affected due to workforce diversity?

    SBP has workforce diversity. But when they join

    the organization they are only Employees of SBP

    and every one have to follow same rules ,same

    procedures so no management policy is effect

    due to workforce diversity until there is a special

    case.Males are supposed to respect females etc

    Q. 6 How you manage workforce diversity?

    The rules made are for all employees .no

    discrimination is based in this case. so all

    employees have same rules regulationsirrespective of male ,female ,or their religion

    ,culture etc.

    Q. 7 To what extent your organization follows ethics?

    How?

    All the employees and managers are following

    ethics like respect each other, help in difficult

    situation .Cultural and social ethics are alsofollowed until they violate the rules of SBP.

    Q. 8 How Government rules and labour unions are

    affecting your management policies?

    Yes, the labour unions have high influence

    on management policies. Negotiations are

    always in process prior to any policy

    change.

    Q. 9 Does SBP provide equal employment

    opportunities? How?

    SBP provides equal employment

    opportunities by allocating quota

    Documents are available. All educational

    qualifications, necessary for any upgradation.All the notices ,promotion

    orders ,disciplinary warnings are

    maintained in it. employee can check his

    file in HRM Dept

    Q. 12 Does your organization use drug and honesty

    test before hiring the employees?

    Employee undergoes medical test only nodrug and honesty test

    Q. 13 What are the basic disciplinary rules that all

    employees have to follow?

    Come on time,well dress up ,respect each

    other ,no somking ,no noise ,give respect to

    customers etc are followed in SBP(Search from

    net)

    Q. 14 In Case any employee violates discipline, what

    kinds of actions are taken (written verbal

    warning, written warning, suspension,

    dismissal)?

    First verbal warning then written warning.On evidence(Proof), suspension &

    dismissal depending on the situation.

    Q. 15 What is the process through which employees

    can make complaints regarding any matter?

    Can write application to HRD Director

    Directly or to their mangers .

    you include in it?

    Yes.It contains All employee related dataetc their

    education,experience,training,performanc

    e,post,expected promotion etc is inclided

    in HRIS

    planning) and what is the importance of that?

    It is in process .not implemented

    Q. 18 What is process of preparing Job Description and

    Job Specification in SBP?

    A format is prepared and sent to

    departments. Departments fill their Joint

    Director & Senior joint Director of the

    positions in their departments.

    Q. 19 How government affects your recruitment

    process?

    No influence of Government on

    recruitment process except position of

    Governor or in any other special case

    Q. 20 Which of the following resources you follow for

    recruitment?

    a. Internal search

    b. Advertisements

    c. Cyberspace Recruiting

    Q. 21 Do you hire temporary, Leased and Contractual

    employees as well? When and why?

    Daily wafe employees are also hired.no

    lease employees .Contractual employees

    are hired for certain positions for which

    permanent employees are not available or

    for specific projects for limited time

    duration.

    Q. 22 What is your process of selecting the

    candidates?

    Entry test, group discussion(Behavior test)

    & Interview.

    Q. 23 What types of tests are taken from candidates?

    Knowledge based only

    Q. 24 Do you conduct background investigation and

    medical test before giving the job to the

    candidate?

    Only Medical test and background

    investigation if something or record lookfictitious.

    Q. 25 Do the interview is taken by Individual Person or

    group of People?

    Group of 4-5 directors/panel interview

    Q. 26 Do you think your process of selection is reliable

    and valid? How?

    Entry test is done by one particular

    organization(Search from net) difficulty

    level is same every time.And every time it

    selects capable candidates so it is reliable

    and valid.

    environment of SBP?

    SBP Conduct organization orientations &

    then department orientation.IN early

    stages employees are in process of job

    rotatation which help in Adjusting to the

    environment and rules of SBP.

    Q. 28 How you conduct new employee orientation?

    Presentation sessions by different

    departments representatives

    Q. 29 What is the role of CEOs and HRM in the

    Orientation of new employees?

    HRM ensures department and organization

    orientation of new employees.

    Q. 30 Do you give training to the new employees on

    the job or off the job?

    Ample training opportunities are produced

    to new employees.Their is our training

    institute(Search from net) which givestraining.In early stages it is of the job and

    then on the job through job rotation.

    employees?

    No late sittings. Work balance is

    maintained.No overtime in general but in

    special cases if required.70 paid leaves are

    given to employees in a year.

    Q. 34 How many hours a permanent full time

    employee works in a weak?

    40-43 Hours depend upon season

    Q. 35 How much paid and medical leaves are given to

    the employees in a year?

    70 paid leaves.52 medical leaves no casual

    leaves.

    Q. 36 What type of facilities you provide to the

    employees on the job (e.g. health insurance,

    social security etc?

    Group term insurance, provident fund,

    Gratuity fund

    Q. 37 What type of benefits you provide to youremployees after retirement?

    Access to medical facilities. Gratuity fund

    and monthly pension.In case of death of

    employee free education is given to

    children. Till 2003 one child of dead

    employee is hired but now it is removed.

    Q. 38 What precautions are taken to provide secure

    environment to the employees?

    Strict rules and adjustable environment

    especially respect for females etc( Search from

    Decisions are made by the Government,

    governor state bank and higher management.

    the decision making is centralized.Emplyoess

    are not invoved in any type of decision making.

    Govt rules are implemented state away.

    Q. 40 What employees benefit are given during the

    job?

    Medical loans,medical leave,paid leaves

    .zero interst lone etc

    Q. 41 How you evaluate the performance of an

    employee e.g. 360 Feedback etc?

    Through performance management system

    Q. 42 How you help your employees in career

    management?

    By providing training and funding

    certifications .To some employees depend

    upon case is given special training

    etc.Give them opportunity for further

    learning if it is supposed to be requird

    according to management needs.

    according to salary scales of different

    grades

    ethics? How?

    Ethics like respect for old people, females

    etc, and social ethics are followed in SBP

    by all employees and officers. Most of theethics are converted into rules which are

    strictly followed in SBP (Search and give

    Come on time, no leave without prior notice, no

    smoking ,no entrance of any friend familymember without permission etc

    Other Information

    Neccesary expenses incurred by higher staff is

    paid back by SBP.Up to 2 hours overtime is

    without any addition in pay weekly.if overtime is

    increased by 2 hours per week then it is paid.In

    cas employee is late 3 times .his one paid leave

    is deducted.

    SELection process .knowledgable test,(Behaviur

    interview)group discussion ,final interview by

    panel of 4 to 6 employees ,medical test ,joboffer. Promotion of employees start after 3

    years.
