GETTING STARTED WITHHSBC ADVANCEHow to activate, register and utilise your banking tools.

HSBC Advance VisaPlatinum Credit Card

Once you have received your HSBC Advance Visa Platinum Credit Card, you can activate it by calling our 24 hour hotline1 at 1300 88 1388 or +603 8321 5400 (if you are calling from an overseas location).

HSBC Advance VisaDebit Card

Activate your HSBC Advance Visa Debit Cardin 3 simple steps:

1. Insert your HSBC Advance Visa Debit Card into an HSBC branch ATM in Malaysia.

2. Enter your bank issued PIN number and follow the instructions on the screen to change your PIN.

3. Your HSBC Advance Visa Debit Card will be activated and ready to use.

HSBC Personal InternetBanking

Start paying your bills, perform onlinetransactions and access your accounts withHSBC Personal Internet Banking anytime,anywhere by doing the following:

1. Click on the "Register" button on the top right hand side of the www.hsbc.com.my homepage.

2. Identify yourself with either yourTelebanking, Credit Card/Credit Card-i/Debit Card Number.

3. Enter your Personal Identification Number (PIN).

4. Create your Username.

5. Set your desired primary and secondary passwords.

6. Choose and answer two security questions.

7. Read and accept the Terms and Conditions. If you agree, please select “Yes”.

8. Please select and set your preferences. Review the details entered and if there are no changes to be made, click on "Confirm Changes".

9. To view your account summary, click on "Complete Registration".

To enjoy the convenience of the HSBC PersonalInternet Banking service, you will need toactivate your Security Device with the following steps:

1. Click on “Log on” for Personal Internet Banking on www.hsbc.com.my

2. Key in your Username.

3. Select “Log in with Security Device”.

4. Key in primary and secondary passwords.

5. Press “Yes” to continue for Security Device Activation Setup.

6. Input Security Device Serial Number and Security Code.

7. Enter the last 3 digits of the mobile phone number registered with the bank.

8. Input the Authorisation Code that is sent to your mobile phone to complete the activation.

If you have not received your Security Device, you may visit any nearest HSBC Bank branch to obtain the Security Device.

HSBC Mobile Bankingapp

HSBC Mobile Banking app lets you access andmanage your HSBC accounts quickly and securelyfrom your mobile device 24 hours a day. Here’s a quick view on the HSBC MobileBanking app services:

• View your account balances andtransaction history

• Transfer funds between your HSBC accounts

• Pay bills to the merchants in your payee list

• Perform Interbank GIRO transactions

• Open local currency or foreign currency time deposit account

• Locate HSBC ATMs and branches

• Send and receive secure messages with HSBC

HSBC Mobile Banking app can be easilyaccessed with the following devices:

• Apple® iPhone® iOS 6.0 and higher.

• AndroidTM – powered devices withplatform 2.3 and higher. However, customers are strongly recommended to upgrade to Android version 4.0 and above which has enhanced security features.

In order to download the HSBC Mobile Bankingapp, you need to be registered for HSBC Personal Internet Banking and have your Personal InternetBanking credentials readily available (Username,Memorable Answer, and Password). Once you are registered, simply download the app from the App StoreSM or Google Play™.

• Use the same Personal Internet Banking credentials (Username, Password, and Security Device) to access your HSBC accounts.

This service is available if you have opted for HSBC Telebanking service during the account opening process. You will be provided with your 6-digit Telebanking Personal Identification Number (TPIN) and 10-digit Personal Banking Number (PBN) or 16-digit Credit Card number (if applicable), which will be needed to access HSBC Telebanking service.

If you have not opted for this earlier and wish to use HSBC Telebanking service, you may request for TPIN to be sent to your mailing address.

Global View/GlobalTransfer support2

Global View/Global Transfer allows you to view and manage your HSBC accounts from anywhere in the world via HSBC Personal Internet Banking. Simply link your HSBC accounts to Global View by selecting the country/territory where your accounts are held. Enter individual username and security details for each account. Once done, your accounts will appear in your Global View and you may start transferring2 funds between your accounts with a minimal fee of USD7 (RM23.32 equivalent).

• Get access to selected Mobile Banking app services by using Username with Primary and Secondary Passwords, or get access to the full Mobile Banking app service by using Security Device. To get your Primary and Secondary Passwords, please register at www.hsbc.com.my.

• If you are accessing the HSBC Mobile Banking app service from a non-Apple or Android mobile device, visit www.hsbc.com.my/mobile.

• For easy navigation, please bookmark the web address on your mobile device.

You should be aware that….

To be eligible for HSBC Advance, you are required tosatisfy one of the following criteria:

If your Total Relationship Balance (TRB) falls below the minimum required balance of RM30,000, an Account Fee of RM10.60 is chargeable for every month theTRB requirement is not fulfilled.

Calculating your Total Relationship Balance

The Total Relationship Balance of your sole account will include balances from your related joint accounts. To protect your privacy, we will not include sole account balances when calculating the Total Relationship Balance for joint accounts. This means that jointaccounts will need to maintain a separate Total Relationship Balance.

For Advance eligibility via the Home Loan/Financing criteria, you are entitled to enjoy perpetual fee waiver until full settlement of the Home Loan/Financing. Thereafter, you are required to meet the TRB requirement.

HSBC Advance gives you unlimited IBG transactions to any accounts at participating IBG banks.

Funds remitted before 12.30pm will be received on thesame day while funds remitted after 12.30pm will be available the next banking day.

EmergencyEncashmentservice

You should be aware that….

In order to facilitate the application process of the encashment service abroad, you will need to produce your HSBC Advance Visa Debit Card, HSBC Advance Visa Platinum Credit Card, your HSBC Advance Account bank statement or cheque book. You may also be required to produce your National Identification Card, Passport or photo card driving licence for identification purposes.

Other important things you need to know

Please note that the application for emergency funds is subject to approval from your home country and local regulations with a limit of up to USD10,000. The cash will be provided in the local currency of the country in which you are in, and will be debited from your Advance account within 7 working days.

Applicable for HSBC Perks@Work or CEPs Plus customers only. This criteria allows you to enjoy 24 months Account Fee waiver, after which, you are required to meet the TRB criteria.

If you have been paying the Account Fee for a consecutive period of 12 months, your HSBC Advance account will automatically be redesignated to an HSBC Basic Current Account.

An annual fee of RM8.48 will be applied. As for the issuance and replacement of debit card, it is chargeable at RM8.48 and RM10 respectively.

Other important things you need to know

The daily purchase limit is set at RM1, 000 with the option to increase to RM3,000. You can visit any of HSBC Bank branch to increase your purchase limit.

The daily ATM cash withdrawal limit is set at RM5,000. You can visit any of HSBC Bank branch to increase your withdrawal limit.

Other important things you need to know

• Global limit – USD1,000,000 This daily limit cannot be exceeded in any 24-hour period.

• Transaction limit – USD100,000 per transaction subject to not exceeding the Global limit in any 24-hour period

• Entity Limit – USD100,000 per transaction subject to not exceeding the Global limit for all entities except countries who have local regulatory restrictions.

• Set your own transfer limit but it cannot exceed the Global limit.
