The nutritional composition of hemp seed is quite unique and exceptional

Whole hemp seeds contain approximately 36% dietary fat, 26% high quality and digestible protein and 31% carbohy-drates comprised mainly of dietary fiber, in addition to an interesting array of vitamins and minerals.

Hemp seeds dietary fat is primarily composed of polyunsaturated fats or the good fats Hemp seed oils fatty acid profile is comprised of 80% po lyunsaturated fats, 11% monounsaturated fats, 9% satu-rated fats and zero trans fats. Health organizations1 have recommended that fat intake should make up 20% to 35% of your total calories. They further recommend that most of your fat intake should come from polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats, while limiting the intake of trans&and saturated fats. Hemp seed dietary fat meets this recommendation.

Hemp Seed Oil contains Zero trans fat and is cholesterol-free. You do not have worry about your heart and cardiovascular system.

Hemp Seed Oil provides one of the highest concentrations of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) categorized as Omega-6 and Omega-3 Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs) in an ideal 3:1 ratio. EFAs are vital for good health but cannot be manufactured by our body, and so they must be present in our diet through the foods we eat. EFAs are both important components of cell membranes and are precursors for substanc-es in the body involved with regulating blood pressure and inflammatory responses.

Hemp seed is a source of high quality, plant based protein. Analysis of hemp food proteins has resulted in a Protein Rating of 402 and above, meaning that the protein content in hemp foods is not only present in high amounts, but also of a high quality

Hemp protein is free of trypsin inhibitors. Trypsin is a key enzyme that breaks down peptide bonds in proteins, enabling protein uptake in the human body. Hemp protein contains no trypsin inhibitors, such as those found in other protein rich sources like soy that can cause flatulence and gas. Hemp seed and foods not only contain a high quality protein, available in high amounts, but they are also free of inhibitors that impede protein digestion making hemp highly digestible.

Hemp protein is very high in dietary fiber. Fiber helps to keep the digestive system healthy and functioning properly. The dietary fiber found in hemp is primar-ily composed of insoluble fiber, which helps with digestion and maintaining regular bowel movements.

Germinated hemp food ingredientsMost of our foods are made from dormant seeds. These propagating units are made not to feed us, but to save transfer of genetic information for the next generations.Plants have built up several protection systems to prevent their propagating units. This protection can be physical or chemical: toxins, enzyme inhibitors, tannins, phytic acids, etc.A large amount of the nutritional material produced by the agriculture is lost because of the improper understanding and process-ing of the foods.

Nutrients in seeds are stored in form of giant molecules in a highly condensed form - like a ZIP file in the computer. The basic goal of our digestion is to break down these molecules in order to make them utilizable for our organism and to brake down the several anti-nutritive materials present.

The process of germination is a magical way the nature uses to reveal and offer us incredible amounts of nutrients from a seed that carefully protects its nutrients. During this process, the anti-nutrients decompose and active enzymes turn the sprouted seed into a vitamin, mineral and anti-oxidant mega-bomb. The amount of nutrients may increase ten-fold while the seed is germinating. The essential nutrients, vitamins and minerals become better available for and are better absorbed by the human body. Moreover, the functionality of these new raw food ingredients is achieved not by artificially adding one or another beneficial com-ponent, but through the most natural way the nature knows through germination. The technology to produce these foods is equally unique and ensures the preservation of a maximum amount of nutrients in an available and easily digestible form. Changes in CarbohydratesSince simple sugars are the imminent source of energy for the seed development during germination process. While ordinary hemp seed contains about 2.00% of sugars, germinated hemp seed contains less than 0.20% of sugars.

Changes in ProteinBig bundles of globular protein are broken down into oligopeptides or individual amino acids. Germinated hemp seed is also rich in active enzymes that assist quality digesting of proteins. Total protein content remains unchanged when compared to ordinary hemp seed.

Changes in FatsThe most dramatic changes in germinating hemp seed occur on the fat side. Most of the food fat comes in a form of triglyceride (TAG) which is formed by one glycerol molecule and three molecules of fatty acid. Fatty acids are a family of molecules classified as lipid macronutrients. One of their roles within human and animal metabolism is energy production in the form of synthesis of Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP). Alpha-Linolenic fatty acid also acts as a agent for DHA synthesis.During germination the TAGs are hydrolysed and broken into di-glycerides (DAG) or mono-glycerides (MAG) and free fatty acids (FFAs). But since FFAs are immediately used-up as energy source needed for seed growth, the overall Acid Number (Free Fatty Acid Number) of the oil from germinated hemp seed is not considerably higher compared to oil from ordinary seeds. The typical Acid Number is less 2.00%.While TAGs represent material suitable to build fat supplies, DAGs are channelled into the liver where they serve as a direct energy source. Thereby, they also assist metabolism and intensify burning. And it is likely to be one of the reasons why they help reducing weight. This effect has been confirmed by several studies.Up to 15% of fat in germinating hemp seed can be converted into DAGs. Conventional cooking oils are mostly TAG fats, with a small amount of DAG fats. TAGs are hydrophobic while DAGs are hydrophilic they bond water chemically. This difference is very important from the perspective of fat transfer in the body and industrial applications. 70% of the DAG fats in sprouted oil are in the (1,3) form.

Moreover, the product is extremely stable despite the absence of preservatives. The anti-oxidant capacity can be demonstrated on increased level of tocopherols in our cold-pressed hemp seed oil when compared to hemp oil from ordinary hemp seeds: Gamma-tocopherol +18% Alpha-tocopherol (Vitamin E) +131% Total tocopherol +29%The high proportion of the Vitamin E form present in the oil enhances the omega-3 fatty acid effects and adds to the significant anti-oxidant and strong anti-inflammatory effects of the oil.

Why isDr.Omega GERMINATED HEMP SEED OIL so unique?

Less GERMINATED hemp seed oil is stored in the body as fat, com-pared to other vegetable oils.

Conventional cooking oils are most-ly triacylglycerol (TAG) fats, with a small amount of diacylglycerol (DAG) fats.

Through a patented process, we convert germinated hemp seed oil into an oil that contains more than 15% DAG. Clinical studies have demonstrated how DAG oil can help you maintain a healthy body weight when used as part of a sensible diet.

Dr.Omega germinated hemp seed oil looks, feels and tastes the same as other hemp oils. Because of 25% DAG content it is easier to digest and does not make people fat. With our tech-nology we can increase DAG content up to 70-75%.

HowDr.Omega DAG OIL works?The shape of the fat molecules in Dr.Omega GERMINATED Hemp seed oil is treated differently in the digestive system. 70% of the DAG fats in Dr.Omega oil are in the (1,3) form. These molecules are hi-drofillic.

DAG fats come in two shapes

The body breaks down fat mole-cules into smaller pieces (fatty ac-ids and glycerol) to absorb them.Both TAG and DAG fats are broken down the same way...

Nutrition claims applicable for hemp seed derivates

LOW SATURATED FATA claim that a food is low in saturated fat, and any claim likely to have the same meaning for the consumer, may only be made if the sum of saturated fatty acids and trans fatty acids in the product does not exceed 1,5 g per 100 g for solids or 0,75 g/100 ml for liquids and in either case the sum of saturated fatty acids and trans fatty acids must not provide more than 10 % of energy.

LOW SUGARA claim that a food is low in sugar, and any claim likely to have the same meaning for the consumer, may only be made where the product contains no more than 5g of sugar per 100 g for solids or 2,5 g of sugar per 100 ml for liquids.

SODIUM FREE or SALT FREEA claim that a food is sodium free or salt free, and any claim likely to have the same meaning for the con-sumer, may only be made where the product contains no more than 0,005 g of sodium, or the equivalent value for salt, per 100 g.
